Welcome to the Athens Dawghouse! This is our loved, cozy, top-rated condo designed to be your relaxing home-away-from-home in the Classic City. Whether you are a returning alum, a proud parent visiting your UGA student, or friends exploring the area, our space offers a warm, lived-in charm with plenty of room for everyone. We are located just one mile from downtown and the historic UGA campus, giving you all the convenience of the town. Getting around is incredibly easy, making it a straightforward walk or a quick three-minute rideshare to North Campus, the historic Arch, or Sanford Stadium. You are also just minutes away from downtown Athens favorites, including incredible local coffee shops, acclaimed dining, and iconic music venues like the Georgia Theatre.

Inside, we have taken care of all the details so you can just show up and relax. The layout is incredibly functional for couples or groups traveling together, featuring two private bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The spacious main bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed, while the roomy second bedroom offers excellent sleeping flexibility, equipped with both a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. The kitchen has everything you actually need to whip up a home-cooked breakfast or comfortably enjoy local takeout, completely stocked with all the essential cookware, dishes, and utensils. For a totally stress-free stay, the condo also includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, a Smart TV for streaming your favorite shows, and an in-unit washer and dryer. Outside, you’ll find a private patio for fresh air and access to a seasonal community pool for warmer days.

We love sharing our space with respectful guests who appreciate a comfortable place to wind down together after a great day of exploring campus or town. Because this is a residential building with wonderful neighbors, it is the absolute perfect spot for a relaxed weekend getaway, a graduation visit, or an academic trip. To keep things pleasant for everyone in the community, we just ask that guests respect our quiet hours and refrain from hosting parties or large gatherings. Felt like home and had everything we needed. It was very functional and close to everything. We loved listening to the record player. We were here for a swim meet so we spent most of our time at the pool. Host was very friendly and outgoing. Gave great suggestions for breakfast and dinner and things to do in the area. Athens condo for the win!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo while our son was attending soccer camp. Close to everything! The condo has comfortable beds, great linens and fun UGA decor! Host is very quick to respond with great local recommendations. Easy walk to the best breakfast at Mama’s Boy. Would definitely stay here again.

The owner, Meg, is amazing! Let me know everything I needed to know before we got there. She also gave me tips for restaurants in the area. The condo was perfect for my family. It had everything we needed and more for our stay. Kids liked that the complex had a pool. Very clean and comfortable! We will be staying there again!

Excellent Experience

We staying in the Athens Dawghouse for 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby at the Athens Botanical Gardens. Our host was very helpful as our original booking date had to be moved to a week later. She moved the booking with no issues which really saved the day! The property was clean and decorated very well. The kids loved the bunk beds and the pool! Check in instructions were clear and if I had any questions she was very responsive. Also, there was some beautiful artwork signed with the same name as our Host. This leads me to believe she may be the talented artist responsible for them. If you are looking for a great spot to book in Athens, consider here!

Lovely stay

Lots of good things to say about this condo. Easy check-in and check-out, responsive host, very clean. The downstairs is cute and cozy and a great place to focus on work, studies, or watch tv. Great location. Very clean. Lots of comfy blankets. The host even leaves some great snacks. I definitely can recommend this lovely condo. However, I do need to mention the air-conditioning. It’s a two level condo with a thermostat on the lower level only. There is only one small upstairs A/C vent, and it comes out at the top of the stairs. There are no vents in either of the bedrooms and no upstairs thermostat. The host has mitigated this with a portable A/C unit in the second upstairs bedroom (that has a bunk bed and a queen), and that works well. The queen is very comfortable and the portable A/C does it’s job. It would have been nice to sleep in the prettier master bedroom with a King bed, but there is no A/C in the master. The only option for the master is to cool the entire apartment, leave the bedroom door open, and hope it gets cool enough in that room despite no vents nearby. It would probably get cool enough for anyone who prefers to sleep in tepid temps, but not for anyone who prefers a colder room.

Location, location, location! It took us only 6 min by car to get to UGA! We loved this property. The apartment was so spacious. We had a lot of space in the bedrooms. The hosts have thought of everything- new washer and dryer, new coffee machine, new fridge. The neighbor felt very safe! Tracy was an amazing host and answered all of our questions immediately. We will definitely be back!

With a king bed in the main bedroom and a flexible queen-plus-bunk arrangement in the second room, everyone gets a great night's sleep. Because both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms attached, getting ready for a day out or winding down at night is completely effortless. It is a fully stocked, cozy home base where you can relax by the community pool and enjoy the very best of Athens without the typical town friction.
