We had a wonderful stay! The home was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was excellent — very walkable. We especially loved walking to the Stand, viewing the historic homes, and spending time in the backyard. Communication with the host was great from start to finish. We will absolutely stay here again next time!

Hi, I’m Vince! I grew up in Kennett Square, PA and earned my Petroleum Engineering degree from Penn State University before moving to Texas to begin a 37-year career with Marathon Oil. Over the years, I’ve lived in Midland, the Tyler area, Houston, and now proudly call Galveston home after retiring.

Faith and family are important to me. I’m a proud father and grandfather, and I love coffee and travel. I’ve always enjoyed exploring new places and still have more than 50 destinations on my bucket list, including Iceland, Australia, and more state parks across the country. I especially enjoy hiking to bridges, rivers, and waterfalls.

Why they chose this property

I chose to live in the East End Historic District because it offers a unique blend of history, character, and coastal charm that’s hard to find anywhere else. I’ve always appreciated places with a story, and the East End is filled with beautiful historic homes, tree-lined streets, and a strong sense of community.

Being close to the beach, local restaurants, and the heart of Galveston makes everyday life feel relaxed and enjoyable. I also love how the neighborhood reflects the rich history of the island while still feeling welcoming and vibrant. For me, it’s the perfect balance of peaceful living, walkable surroundings, and the timeless charm that makes Galveston such a special place to call home.

What makes this property unique

What makes our rental stand out is the mix of historic charm and modern comfort in Galveston’s walkable East End Historic District. The home is surrounded by trees and offers a clean, comfortable space with new appliances, updated furnishings, and plenty of amenities. Guests enjoy the private plunge pool and convenient location near the beach, restaurants, and local attractions. Our goal is to provide a relaxing home-away-from-home experience for every guest.
