Tucked beneath towering pine trees just a short walk from Big Bear Lake and The Village, Village Hideout blends the feeling of a peaceful mountain retreat with the convenience of being close to everything. Spend warm summer afternoons hiking nearby trails, kayaking on the lake, or exploring local shops and restaurants before returning to soak in the private hot tub beneath the trees. As evening settles in, gather on the expansive decks with a drink in hand while the breeze moves through the pines and the sky shifts into sunset colors.

Inside, the cabin combines cozy mountain character with modern comfort. Vaulted wood ceilings, large windows, and a wood-burning fireplace create a warm and inviting living space designed for relaxing after a day outdoors. Sink into the recliner couches for a movie night on the Smart TV with Sling TV, or pull out one of the board games for a slower evening at the cabin. Fast 500/500 WiFi makes it easy to stream, work remotely, or stay connected during your stay.

Kitchen & Dining
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for preparing meals at home, whether you are making breakfast before heading out to the lake or grilling dinner back at the cabin. Guests will find a stove, oven, dishwasher, Keurig and standard coffee maker, cookware, baking essentials, wine glasses, and BBQ utensils. Enjoy meals indoors or dine outside on the spacious deck surrounded by forest views and fresh mountain air.

Village Hideout is designed to make the most of Big Bear’s outdoor lifestyle during the summer season. Multiple decks offer peaceful spaces to relax among the trees, including outdoor dining seating, rocking chairs, and a private hot tub tucked into the deck. The cabin sits directly across from a trailhead and is within walking distance to The Village, the lake, restaurants, bars, and local shops - making it easy to enjoy the area without constantly driving or searching for parking.

Sleeping Arrangements
The home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests, with a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, across 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom features a queen bed, while the larger bedroom includes a queen bed, a twin-over-twin bunk bed, a small desk, and a desk chair, making it a great option for families or guests who may need a dedicated workspace. Both bedrooms include Smart TVs, and the recently remodeled bathrooms add a fresh, updated feel to the home.

Village Hideout offers the rare combination of a peaceful forest setting and a prime central location, giving guests easy access to the best of Big Bear while still feeling tucked away in the mountains.

Maximum occupancy is 6 guests at all times.
Maximum parking for 2 cars. Please only park in designated parking areas and obey all posted street signs.

The parking platform accommodates guest parking. Please do not block neighboring properties or road access. Guests should only park 2 cars on the parking platform.

Village Hideout is within walking distance to The Village, lake, restaurants, bars, and hiking trails.

AC is just in living room, but it stays cool downstairs year round.

Portable heaters available in each bedroom.
Please remember these rules are mandated and imposed solely by the CITY and our PERMIT/ORDINANCE which requires property management companies to notify all guests that the CITY requires you to sign a rental agreement and the Good Neighbor Brochure to obtain the code to the property as well as provide a copy in the rental agreement app a copy of Governmental ID that matches the name on the reservation. Please notate these and all rules regarding spa hours, trash removal, noise and dishes being washed are due to our permit and not our rules so please keep this in mind before booking as some guests rate us based on rules we must abide by to rent. We appreciate that they are unique rules please do not review us based on the reviews we need to follow, we appreciate it. The code cannot be sent until this agreement is filled out.

(1) Maximum vehicles and guest occupancy permitted is described in the listing. Any violation is subject to eviction and/or cancellation of your stay. If you need additional parking, please contact us directly.

(2) Big Bear Lake does not allow street parking; they will tow any vehicles parked on the street and any towing fees or fines issued are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

(3) Excessive noise or loud music heard at the property line is prohibited by the CITY for the consideration of the local residents. The CITY enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM and will send out code enforcement officers to issue fines/and or evict guests for any violations reported. There will be a $300 administrative fine per Code Call for our team to show up as we are required to attend such code call within 30 minus, plus $100 per hour of our time spent for the violation. This is IN ADDITION to any fines issued by Code Enforcement which start at $500 to $5000 per violation.

(4) Dishes - All dishes must be cleaned before leaving and the house must be left in the same condition that you found it in. Any dirty dishes left in the kitchen are subject to a $45 fee- our housekeepers will unload dishes or put them away but do not wash dishes or dump trash per the law this includes leaving dishes with food on them or left in the home. It also attracts vermin. Please note this is part of our permit and not included in cleaning the home after guests leave.

(5) Trash - All trash must be removed offsite to the free trash sites. Any bags or trash left behind in the bathroom, kitchen (including leaving behind items in the fridge, or outside is subject to a $25 per bag for removal this is not our rule - this is the law and we must abide by it as there is no trash service due to wild animals. Please do not review us based on the law. We provide a dump service if you should want to pay in advance, but we have to send a dump service we cannot have housekeepers take the trash as the CITY does not allow this.

(6) Barbecue- Propane is offered on the honor system on any firepit or BBQ. Please do not leave the firepit or BBQ on unattended. Please clean the BBQ after use. If by chance the propane runs out, please let us know and we will send someone to replace it. Please make sure all propane is turned off after use. Big Bear does not allow the use of charcoal of lighter fluid. Please be advised if you run out of propane and it is after hours we cannot promise after hours refills late at night as the stores may not be open.

(7) Pet- The home is strictly not pet friendly as the owners have severe allergies. Any violation is subject to eviction and a $3500 fine plus damages to the home will be charged.

(8) Hot Tub – No hot tub use after 10pm per the law any time a spa is left open and the cover off more than 30 mins a fine of $250 per hour will be due plus damages to the spa as this can result in pipes freezing - if a user error or maintenance is found or if we have to dump and fill water prior to your stay due to cleanliness requirements - we cannot be held liable nor grant refunds for a spa not being at the temperature desired or if left uncovered - if we have to dump the water it can take 24 hours for it to warm up. This is out of our control as sometimes the water has to be dumped and can take 24 hours to warm up. This will not be grounds for a refund.

(9) Parties or noise ordinance calls – any parties, events, unauthorized guests or noise complaints will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Any party will incur $5,000 fine plus immediate eviction.

(10) No over occupancy - $500 per person over occupancy fine plus damages plus immediate eviction and subject to code call fines.

(11) No smoking, vaping or drugs inside our cabins at any time. Any evidence of violation is grounds for immediate eviction from the cabin and a $3500 plus damages found at the home.

(12) Please refrain from bringing your own BBQs, Firepits and or outside cooking devices are banned by the CITY due to the fire safety hazards. This is subject to eviction due to this is how fires start.


(13) The Mountain community area does not have air conditioning, and the availability of fans may vary depending on the property description. High temperatures or heat will not be grounds for a refund, as many cabins do not include air conditioning unless specifically stated.

(14) Due to the mountain location, Big Bear and the surrounding areas are known to have occasional power and internet outages due to circumstances beyond our control. Power outages are usually brief, lasting a few hours or less and the city always tries to work quickly to get it back up and running. There are no refunds at anytime for power or internet outages due to normal mountain conditions, as these are beyond our control.
