Great Location and View

We loved staying in this house! The location is unbeatable and the views are amazing! The home is showing some age and need of some maintenance. We hope the owners will improve before our next stay.

Great family house!

Very comfortable with a nice deck overlooking the beautiful lake. Not fancy but homey. Only one king bedroom though. Queens in 2-3 bedrooms.

This is the second year we have rented this house for a church older adult conference. It is so convenient because the auditorium, where many sessions are held, is just across the street. We fill all 6 bedrooms with friends and love sitting on the deck looking at the lake. We plan on renting it for the next conference also.

The property was great. View was awesome. We were forced to leave a day early due to impending weather. Barely missed the flooding in Asheville.

Almost a Five

The size of bedrooms, fantastic view, plenty of convenient parking. Upper level decking needs replacing. Chairs on deck could use cushions.

Family Trip

The property was a good place to stay. Unfortunately the cleaning was not finished and we had to finish it for them, not something I want to do when I'm on vacation. I don't think I should have to pay the full price when I'm doing part of the job for them.

Plenty of Space

There is plenty of room for everyone unless you have an extra large group. We were a family of 13 with small children and it was great for us as far as the size. The only thing that we would’ve liked would’ve been if a mop and broom have been available to use because there is always going to be accident and having to use, paper towels was a lot harder than what a mop would’ve been. All things considered we would definitely rent this property again!
Response from VrboOwner on 24 Jul, 2025
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Leslie. We're glad to hear that the home’s size worked well for your family of 13 and that you enjoyed your stay overall. We completely understand how having a mop and broom on hand would have made cleaning up easier, especially with little ones around. While our team didn’t receive any requests during your stay, we’re always here to assist and provide any additional items you might need—please don’t hesitate to reach out next time! We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you and your family back for another wonderful stay.

Great stay... wrong access code

The access code provided was incorrect and the instruction to find the lock box were insufficent. My parents waited an hour in the cold attempting to contact vacasa to gain entry to the property. Once this was resolved we had a great stay. We look forward to coming back soon. Oh, there are a few deck boards that need to be replaced - loose and/or unsupported with exposed screws.
Response from VrboOwner on 20 Jun, 2023
Hi, Charles! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize for the delay in getting you into your rental. The deck boards are being repaired promptly. Thank you!
