5 minutes to Luray Caverns and 5 minutes to downtown Luray, but once you’re here, you won’t want to leave the deck. OUD Haven is a fully renovated Shenandoah Valley retreat with three private queen bedrooms, three decks, a fire pit, and a hammock with mountain views that guests say are better than the photos. Whether you’re here to hike Shenandoah National Park, drive Skyline, explore Luray Caverns, or just watch fireflies from the porch with people you love, OUD Haven is set up to make it easy.
The space OUD Haven is a peaceful, fully renovated retreat in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, close enough to Luray’s caverns, wineries, and hiking trails to use as an active home base, quiet enough to just sit on the deck and do nothing at all. Three comfortable queen bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting living spaces make it easy for families, multi-generational groups, and friends to spread out and feel at home. Outside, three separate decks and porches give everyone their own space, morning coffee looking at the mountains, an afternoon in the hammock, or an evening around the fire pit under a genuinely dark, starlit sky. Every guest arrives to a welcome basket and thoughtful touches waiting for them, because we want your first five minutes here to feel like the trip has already started.
Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home and all outdoor areas, including all three decks, the hammock, fire pit, and parking area. Self check-in via keypad lock means no coordinating arrival times — come in, get settled, and start your trip on your own schedule.

About the host
Hosted by Abbas Al Husseini
I’m Abbas — a Virginia-based host who believes a great getaway starts with the details. I spent months designing OUD Haven to feel like a real home, not a rental. I’m responsive, easy to reach, and genuinely want your stay to be the reset you came here for.
Why they chose this property
Luray sits in a sweet spot that most people don’t know about, sandwiched between the Blue Ridge Mountains and Massanutten, 90 minutes from DC but feeling worlds away. You’re minutes from Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, and the Shenandoah River, but the property itself sits on open land with mountain views and total quiet. No traffic noise. No neighbors in your sightline. Just sky and mountains.
What makes this property unique
My wife and I weren’t looking for a project. We just walked in, and the place felt immediately cozy — the kind of cozy you can’t manufacture. But what made us say “this is it” wasn’t inside the house at all.
We stepped outside. And somewhere from the neighbor’s yard, we heard chickens. Then a rooster. And we just looked at each other.
When I came back to start renovating, I’d wake up to a woodpecker going at it every morning like clockwork. And those mountains — some mornings they’re sharp and clear, and some mornings they disappear behind the clouds and you just stand there staring at where they used to be.
That’s when I understood what I was building. Not a luxury rental. Not a rustic cabin. Something that meets you in the middle, comfortable enough that nothing feels rough, but honest enough that you can still hear a rooster from the deck.
