Hi Kevin, Thanks for your nice review. I am glad your teens liked the cabin. Our teens love to hang out in the game room, hot tub and exploring the trails. We hope to have you back for a visit again. Have a great summer.
We were visiting Lake Tahoe for our 15 year anniversary. This house was the perfect place to stay.
It’s location was great and the amenities were perfect. We would stay there again if we decide to visit the area again.
Our family of 4 really enjoyed this pet friendly rental! We will return.

Perfect cozy cabin
The Lynwood Chalet is a wonderful cabin that is perfect for 5-7 people (if most are couples). It's easy to get to, close to several ski lifts at Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar is not far away either. It has all the amenities you could need, my favorite being the hot tub and dart board. Great place!
My family had a wonderful stay in this cozy cabin. We came up for a ski weekend and particularly enjoyed the close proximity to the mountain and the hot tub on the deck. The cabin was very clean,
comfortable, and nicely decorated. Check-in was super easy, and Amelia was very communicative. We would love to come back!
Nice quiet relaxing vacation. the scenery from every room was stunning. Home was tastefully updated and decorated. The house is just like the pictures. Highly recommend if you like being up in the forest to enjoy nature.
Our stay was nice. Not much happened so it was exactly what I was looking for. Going from triple digit temps to 70’s was great. The neighborhood was quite and relaxing. The cabin could use some upgrades but we managed to make everything work for us.

Wonderful weekend!
We had a great stay at this cabin. We used the pull out sofas and our group fit comfortably. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, even coffee filters. We appreciated the binder full of the owner's favorite things to do around the lake. We also appreciated how clean the hot tub was. The owner of the house was so great and understanding - she really made our stay perfect.
We will definitely stay here again!

Hi Dana, I am so happy that you all enjoyed your summer get away at Lynwood Chalet. And thanks for commenting on the clean cabin and hot tub. We work hard to keep it clean and welcoming. Hope to see you back up at the cabin soon. Maybe a winter visit to try out the sled run this winter??

Great location, clean and friendly owner!
It was our first time visiting Tahoe - we'll be back! Lynwood Chalet is centrally located with access to grocery, beach, hiking and restaurants. The trails behind the home are great for running - very peaceful. The cabin was spotless and well equipped...and the owner was easy to work with and very responsive. The bathrooms are a bit small - but, the only slightly negative comment that comes to mind.
Definitely recommend!

Fun Cabin
The communication with the owner was great. There are plenty of instructions in the house for anything you may need. The kids loved the lower game room and there are a ton of movies to choose from. The spa was a highlight for us. It was buried under 3ft of snow and was worth the dig out! Great VRBO.

AMAZING!!
This chalet was perfect for our family from top to bottom!! The upstairs bedrooms were super comfortable, the fireplace was cozy during the cold snowy nights, the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the dishes, pots/pans etc. for the full meals we made, the hot tub on the deck was a dream. The kids had a blast exploring the rooms and they LOVED the downstairs playroom. Our biggest problem was having to leave. We will definitely be returning again and again!!

Hi Stephanie, What a great review. Thanks for the great feedback. I am glad you enjoyed all of the special things about Lynwood Chalet. We want everyone to have fun. We can't wait to have you back again and again!
We stayed at Amelia's place for a long weekend, looking to score on some snow after the storms in early Feb. It's a great little place for exactly that -- cozy, has all the things you need. It's a quiet little neighborhood with access to a trail right behind the house. The back deck looks out into the woods, so sitting in the hot tub feels very peaceful and almost like you're alone in the trees. Our pup loves tromping around in the snow, which the backyard and trails are great for. We'll definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay! Everything was very clean and cozy. Kitchen is very clean and functional. Nice long kitchen table to gather around. Bathrooms are a bit small and one bedroom door is tough to open and close, making for noise when others are sleeping. Great to have a hill behind the house for sledding and playing. Close to an amazing trail! Thank you!

Huge Backyard
The house is great. Typical level of funky for a Tahoe house, but the owners have taken the time to make it very comfy, usable and child friendly. The Game room downstairs is excellent and the kids spent plenty of time down there. Our favorite part of this location is that it borders the National Forest. While we were there in winter, I'm very familiar with the mountain biking and hiking trails right out the back door and they are some of the best anywhere! We're excited to come back in the summer.

Thanks for the nice review! We look forward to having you back in summer for the hiking and biking and sunshine!
Nicely updated decor with new and modern appliances. Lots of space in the kitchen for cooking and a huge dining table for big group meals. Comfortable beds in good sized bedrooms. Bonus game room downstairs adds lots of extra space, but requires going up and down a ladder as shown in photos. The upstairs shower is also pretty small, but recently renovated.
We came up for a long weekend with family and had a great time. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us (6 adults and 2 kids 1&3). The cabin was exactly as we expected, it was clean, well maintained and very cozy. The kitchen had everything you would need including a Nespresso and Keurig coffee maker. You can sled ride in the back yard or just another 100 yards and there is groomed trails that you can walk or sled. We were there on Super Bowl weekend and we were able to stream it on their Wi-Fi. The check in and check out process was very easy. We will definitely go back.
Our family met up to celebrate Thanksgiving at this cozy property. It is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The neighborhood contains walking trails that can be accessed from behind the yard or down the street. There were a few concerns with our visit. Many of the serving/cooking utensils were dirty and had to be washed before using. The beds were very comfortable but found at the end of our stay (when we took the sheets off the beds) that the mattress pad in the downstairs bedroom was covered in various lengths of dark hair. The sheets were not removed from the beds until just prior to leaving- the hair was there before our arrival. The fabric of the mattress cover seemed the type to attract things to stick to it and should have been something easily noticed by the housekeeper. Somewhat disconcerting especially given the fees paid for cleaning.

Great cabin, well equipped, loved the woods/trails in the backyard, perfect for a family
We stayed in the Lynwood Chalet for four nights in August. It was really great. We have two small children, ages 7 and 9, and they just loved the downstairs playroom/bedroom. They were there every night watching movies, playing games, etc., while the adults were out on the deck using the hot tub. The Chalet is really well equipped with most every utensil and appliance you could ever need. We loved how the back deck faces the woods, and you feel really isolated from everyone. There are hiking trails just a block away, which is great. Every night we went on a mile hike with our two boys, or they sometimes took their electric scooters. The lake is just down the hill. It is very quiet there, and serene. It is a perfect get-a-way, with a true Tahoe feel. The owner is extremely accommodating and responds to your every need. There is even a bottle of wine waiting for you upon arrival which is a nice touch. You can BBQ on the deck overlooking the back woods. You will not be disappointed, and obviously, the price is right. We will certainly be back again and recommend the Chalet to everyone.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Some concerns
The property does not accommodate 8-10 people, maybe 5-6 max. BBQ was filthy and took 30 minutes to clean so we could use it. Kitchen supplies were minimal and required turning on the dishwasher after every meal in order to have enough silverware and serving bowls. Third bathroom required going down a ladder or outside to access it which was not possible for some guests. Not somewhere I would stay in the summer. There is no AC and it was 85-90 degrees at bedtime causing sleepless nights. There are only beds for 6 people so one of our guest had to sleep on a couch. Shower curtains fell down frequently. The DVD player did not work. Inside the houses was clean. Games room was well stocked with games and books. Coffee maker was a big hit. Neighborhood was perfect and close to beaches and hiking trails. Lots of parking on the property. Nice hot tub.

we thought we were home
The six of us (five adults, one child) headed west from San Francisco to spend five days in the snow, following the turn of the new year. We were looking for a place that would house us all, have all the amenities of home, have easy access to snowshoeing as well as skiing, and be a place to fully relax from our daily roles. I'm going to make this easy on the reader:
I implore you to rent this place! It was fantastic and we will be back.
Kelly was a superb host, responding to everything we needed quickly.
The house was cute, cozy, fully stocked, and perfectly located.
The snowshoeing out the backdoor was epic.
We went skiing and tubing two days nearby. Very close, like less than 20 minutes away.
Hot tub = yum.
We felt like we were home from the get-go.
Things to consider:
-We had more people coming with us originally but they bailed, which I'm glad about now. The house could host more people than we had, but they would end up sleeping in the common areas (living room and playroom), which wouldn't be terrible, but if you've got a 4-year old who likes to wake up at 4:30am and play downstairs or run around in the living room, it's not going to work. So consider that.
-The game room is stocked with toys and games geared mostly toward the younger ones, like ten and under. Not suited for teenagers. But the space itself is really cool.
-It was great to have an espresso machine available, but it's a particular kind called Nespresso, so if you want to use it, buy the disposable Nespresso coffee tablets before you come. We couldn't find them nearby and ended up just using the milk foamer.
-The only other thing I could complain about was that the fireplace wasn't a real fireplace. It's a gas one that heats the house well, but if you're looking for a roaring wood fireplace, it's not that. Not a big deal, but I know how some of ya'll will want to have the perfect cozy winter experience.
Have a great time!

Hi Shane, So glad you all had a great time. Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I think we had only decaf espresso left at the cabin when you were up. I ordered more regular espresso pods so it will be restocked! The gameroom had quite a bit for the 12 and under crowd because my kids are under 12! For the teenagers and up we have foosball, elecronic darts, TV/DVD/Cable, Risk, Pictionary, card games/poker game, Scrabble, Monopoly, etc. Any new tenants: feel free to request our inventory list and you can see most all of the games we have as well as a kitchen inventory. Look forward to having you back again, Shane!
The perfect cabin for a cozy, close-quarters getaway. Location is perfect near Northstar and Truckee with Tahoe City close by for groceries. Hot tub with the string lights was the perfect way to start or end any day and the living room sofa is a great one to accidentally fall asleep on. My wife and I certainly plan to be back with friends for a ski week.
Really comfortable and cute details to this A-frame cabin in the woods. We were there for Thanksgiving wend, the kitchen was great, it offered everything needed to prepare large meals. We especially loved the privacy of the hot tub w forest views for after skiing! We will return! ❤️
Sweet cabin. Beautiful access to nature right out the back. Cabin is perfectly nestled and hugged by big pine trees (nutures my soul). Splendid decks front and back. The icing? Hot Tub up on deck under the stars! Easy acces to tub from back door off kitchen. Thoroughly appreciated this sweet find!
