This romantic old farmhouse is located at an elevation of 1,100 metres in the Nöring Valley between Rennweg and Gmünd, nestled between the “Hohe Tauern” and “Nockberge” nature parks. The 31-square-meter holiday apartment features a combined bedroom/living/dining room with a sitting area, a tiled stove, a TV, hiking maps, books, and a kitchen with a dishwasher. The basement has a sauna and a washing machine. The beautiful garden includes a large sun terrace, plenty of seating, and a tiny stream. A drinking water fountain babbles in front of the house. The friendly manager on the ground floor is happy to help. The organic farmer next door sells bread, milk, butter, juices, jams, berries, and mushrooms.

It’s possible to heat the entire apartment with the tiled stove. The firewood for this is included in the price.

Golf: There are several very beautiful golf courses in the area that offer discounted green fees at each other’s courses. Lungau: approx. 20 km. Obermillstatt: approx. 20 km. Radstadt: approx. 60 km. Kleinkirchheim: approx. 60 km. Udine (Italy) and Bled (Slovenia) are great places to visit.

Skiing: There are no ski slopes right next to the house. The nearest ski resorts are Innerkrems (approx. 17 km), where the Austrian national team also trains, and Katschberg (approx. 20 km). The ski bus runs several times a day from Gmünd via Eisentratten to both resorts. Other ski resorts include Goldeck (near Gmünd, about 20 km away), Obertauern (about 50 km away), and Kleinkirchheim (about 50 km away).

Swimming, sailing, surfing, paddling: Carinthia’s lakes are the warmest in Europe, and the water in its rivers, streams, and lakes is certainly the cleanest. Gmünd Outdoor Pool (approx. 5 km), Lake Millstatt (approx. 10 km), Lake Weissensee (approx. 50 km), Lake Wörther (approx. 60 km).
