Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this area because it offers the peace and beauty of Northern Michigan while still being close to so many incredible destinations. The neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Within a short drive, you'll find Lake Missaukee, charming Lake City, local restaurants and bakeries, Torch Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Grand Traverse Bay, and Traverse City. What makes this property unique

Hook & Reel offers a one-of-a-kind stay in a charming A-frame cabin nestled among the trees in Northern Michigan. The bonus rustic cabin, built by hand nearly 100 years ago, was the second structure built on Dyer Lake and has been thoughtfully preserved while adding modern comforts.

Guests can relax on the screened-in porch, dine on the spacious outdoor deck, gather around the fire pit, and enjoy 1 Gig high-speed fiber Wi-Fi with complimentary Netflix. The property also includes a bonus rustic sleeping cabin for larger groups.

Our location provides a peaceful retreat while serving as the perfect home base for exploring Lake Missaukee, Traverse City, Torch Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and many of Northern Michigan's hidden gems.
