Very unique and welcoming Owners greeted us with extra towels and went over the place and answered any questions If you like to see A LOT of stars at night, this is the place!
We had a wonderful stay. The yurt was amazing and had all the comforts of home while being just 10 minutes from the incredible sights of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. It was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the park. One of the highlights of our stay was spending an evening on the porch enjoying the beautiful night sky and stars. A unique and memorable experience. We would definitely recommend staying here!
Dee & Terri are awesome Host. Everything was perfect. Dee greeted us upon arrival and was available the whole stay. Very helpful with recommendations throughout the area. The yurt was clean and well stocked with the needed supplies. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of blankets to keep everyone warm and cozy. If you are looking for a place that offers peace and quiet, this is the place. A country stay at the base of the Black Canyon, mountains in the background and wild life all around. The porch is great for an evening of relaxing and taking in the beautiful all around you. I would recommend to anyone. It is a place I will book again if I am out that way.10/10 for me.
My wife and I stayed for a short weekend getaway. When we arrived the yurt was open and air conditioned. It was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. They even left some snacks and coffee for us. The location is great, such a short drive to the Black Canyon, Ouray and Telluride. I don't think a lot of people think about staying in Montrose, because it's not a "resort" town, but the location makes it the perfect spot to explore this part of Colorado. In addition to the 3 things I mentioned above, Montrose has a great downtown. We really enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday. Fresh coffee from the Holy Coffee and fresh cut watermelon from one of the local farmers. Dee and Terri were wonderful hosts. We look forward to staying again in the future.
We stayed here with our dog on a road trip from Ohio and it was the best place we stayed. Roomy accommodation with more than everything you need. Ice, water bottles, toiletries, cozy bedding, and more. We made several meals in the kitchen with no problem. Dee also offered his grills for us to use at their house. Super close to the South Rim of Black Canyon, where we did a two mile hike with our dog and then drove the scenic outlook route. Absolutely stunning. Remote but just a short trip to the thriving downtown area of Montrose with everything you need. We very much enjoyed hearing the coyotes at night, and a hot shower followed by dessert on the deck was the perfect end to a day. Can’t recommend enough.
From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect for my family of four. Would highly recommend taking a look at this property if staying in the area. The host was very friendly snd attentive to any needs. We would definitely look at staying again if in the area.
