This was our 3rd time back and we love everything about the place!

Pros: Beautifully decorated and spacious house for 2 people. Nice location with cafes and shops within walking distance and just a short drive from Sintra's historic city center.

Great little place!

Cute place and very fresh! It was lovely to hear the rainfall on the roof - it was nice to go to sleep with the sound. Convenient to walk to great sites in Sintra (20 to 40 minutes walk). Carolina is very responsive! The little market around the corner was perfect for basic food needs - especially the fresh apricots!!! Our only minor issue was moisture since the weather is damp and cool, yet the owner was quick to provide a dehumidifier.

Die Wohnung besteht aus einer Wohnküche im Souterrain, einem Schlafzimmer unterm Dach und einem kleinen fensterlosen Bad. Die Wohnküche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, hat allerdings kaum Tageslicht. Eine Tür führt auf eine sehr kleine Terrasse. Diese ist stets im Schatten und teilüberdacht, bietet Stühle, einen Tisch und einen Wäscheständer. Man sitzt auf der Terrasse direkt vor dem Küchenfenster der Nachbarwohnung, der Blick in den Garten ist durch eine Stellwand versperrt. In der Wohnküche steht ein Luftentfeuchter. Dieser muss täglich geleert werden. Läuft dieser laut vernehmlich, sinkt die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit von 85% nach einigen Stunden auf 60% und der Eimer Kondenswasser muss geleert werden. Das Problem der Luftfeuchtigkeit wurde schon in anderen Rezensionen erwähnt. Das Schlafzimmer ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Es leidet aber unter dem Feuchtigkeitsproblem, was sich an Schimmel in der Ecke zeigt, der bei uns nachts auch zu Atemproblemen führte. Insektenschutzgitter wären gut, da wir nachts regelmäßig von Mücken zerstochen wurden, aufgrund der Luft aber nicht bei geschlossenem Fenster schlafen konnten. Das Bad ist klein aber zweckmäßig. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut, um im nahen Nationalpark und an der Küste Wanderungen zu unternehmen. Der Straßenlärm ebbt gegen Mitternacht ab, das übliche weitläufige Hundegebell hält oft länger an. Fazit: Eine sehr schön eingerichtete Wohnung mit Einschränkungen im Zuschnitt und Raumklima. Kommunikation per WA auf Englisch gut.

Small, efficient, thoughtfully decorated. When I'm in Sintra, it is to attend to family affairs, so my needs are somewhat different from that of the typical tourist, but I think a couple or solo traveler would do quite well here.
