Golden View cottage has been in our family since 1984. It is located in a lake-front neighborhood on the western end of Silver Lake (“the quiet side”), near Mac Woods Dune Rides & Whippy Dip (can you say ice cream??). It has a nice sunny large lot, deck, views of Silver Lake & the Dunes and private lake access including dock privileges at the shared association lot adjacent to our property.

We fully refreshed the cottage in 2021, new flooring, paint, furnishings. But celebrate the retro feel & design. It is adorable!

We have strict cleaning protocols for your sanitizing assurance between rentals. Guests bring their own bed sheets/pillowcases and bath towels. All mattress pads, pillow case protectors, bed spreads, bath floor mats, bath hand towels, door rugs, kitchen towels are replaced between each stay.

The cottage has AIR CONDITIONING! We are happy to make you more comfortable on those hot summer nights.

Silver Lake is an amazing place to vacation - endless fun, activities galore, and the incredible Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan beaches to explore. From this property you can ride your bike along the very scenic Silver Lake channel out to Lake Michigan. Take a tour of the Little Sable Point Lighthouse, catch a sunset or just park yourself on the beach and enjoy!

This cottage has a living area open to the kitchen, with picture windows looking towards the lake and yard. The association dock is just steps away for mooring your watercraft, casting a line off the end of the dock or swimming. The cottage includes a large deck with a kid's sandbox, firepit area, and swing set. And, plenty of room for the kids to play in the yard. We also have a second outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. Just making sure this is clear - this cottage is not directly on the lake but steps away and has a view of lake & dunes.

There are 2 bedrooms, equipped with a queen size bed and a full size bed. We regularly upgrade our mattresses. We have a couch & comfy chairs in the great room. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The kitchen includes a dining table for 4 people and there is also a table/umbrella on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. toaster - the works! We aim to please the 'foodie' in you!

To make your stay more relaxing, we have loaded the book case with beach reads and books for the kids. There is also a toy bin and plenty of board games. We have also have a smart TV with ROKU, Xbox and WIFI fiber internet.

Outside there is a gas BBQ grill, deck furniture and fire pit. We have parking for 2-3 cars and a trailer (check with us on the size of your 'toy' trailer first).

This location is within walking distance to Mac Woods Dune Rides and Whippy Dip. The kids can ride their bikes safely on our paved neighborhood streets. Just a short drive away (2 miles to the downtown area) are go-karts/arcade, bumper cars/boats, miniature golf at Craig's Cruisers, shopping at Dunetown Mall, Ice Cream, restaurants, any type of water craft rental at the Wave Club, Jeep/Quad/Buggy rentals. Or, hop on your bike or lace up your running shoes and cruise the paved pedestrian path around the entire lake. A ride out to the tallest lighthouse on Lake Michigan, Little Sable Point, to catch an evening sunset is a must-do on your vacation bucket list. The Lighthouse is open for tours during summer weekends.
