Rustic, Elegant 8,000 Sq. Ft. Timber Frame Lodge in Southwest Wisconsin.

Whether you've come for the day or plan to stay through the weekend, Cedar Valley Preserve's 8,000 square foot lodge will be waiting to provide you and your guests the comfort and accommodations you require for an enjoyable stay. The Lodge is fully-equipped from top to bottom in “Five Star” amenities. From the moment you walk through the front door, you'll immediately experience the quality and elegance of this rustic retreat. The first floor will greet you with a warm, comfortable seating area, accented by a stone fireplace.

On the first floor of The Lodge are 7 of the 8 bedrooms and three bathrooms.

As you make your way upstairs, you’ll enter the true living quarters where you’ll enjoy a dining area, full kitchen, a cozy seating area by the fireplace, a bathroom and a bar featuring a flat screen television. The kitchen is available to guests and equipped with culinary needs for you to prepare your own meals. Adjoining this area is a board room available for conducting meetings or hosting private parties, at an additional cost. This rustic room, offering a magnificent view of the property, is fully-equipped with Wi-Fi wireless internet access. LCD projector, and a screen are available for your use upon request. The second floor also provides access to two large decks for relaxing, a gas and charcoal grill for outdoor dining as well as a designated 'cigar room' which is a separate building. The new deck on the south side of the lodge has a ramp instead of stairs and access to the fire pit.

The third floor has the eighth bedroom and fifth bathroom.

Cedar Valley is open for lodging from May through September. From October through April Cedar Valley is primarily a hunt club with the lodging reserved for the hunters. If you are interested in pheasant hunting from October through April, please contact us.

Perfect family reunion spot

This was the perfect spot to stay for a long weekend celebrating a 50th anniversary. Fun for the whole family, ages ranging from 7 to 73. Plenty of space/bed options, very clean. Jeff and Jennifer were super communicative and everything was perfect!

Stunning Property

Jennifer was very communicative and made the stay so easy. I can't imagine a property more beautiful. We had everything we needed and perfect for our large group. Really easy check out times and rules. The many bedrooms and common areas makes a large family or friend gathering very stress free so you can focus on enjoying each other's company and not about space.

Nothing but good things to say about this lodge!Big kitchen and huge common area complete with an extra beverage fridge and industrial ice machine behind the bar as mentioned in other reviews. Made meals/drinks a breeze.We spend tons of time socializing on the main deck, which also has a grill and a bunch of space and tables, and a great view of the property.Tons of space in the lodge itself with ample bedrooms and additionally, lots of grassy area for yard games with our crew.Highly recommended! Thanks to Jennifer and Jeff for answering questions and making our stay one to remember!

Comfortable and spacious for large groups !

Perfect gathering spot for large groups- we had 18 men/teens and Cedar Valley Lodge has everything! Beds for everyone, great kitchen for large meal prep, perfect setup for card playing and just hanging out. 2 oversize Beverage coolers and the industrial ice machine are an added bonus and very convenient!

85th birthday and family reunion

Had a wonderful time! Spring Green is beautiful and there is much to do. Cedar Lodge was perfect for our group. Variety of sleeping choices, large gathering space inside and out, private and gorgeous setting. Reallly enjoyed to fire pit! Owners are kind and responsive

Wonderfu Experience

Our friends group of 8 couples booked the Cedar Valley Preserve to celebrate our 30 year anniversary. The property was perfect--spacious, well stocked and beautifully maintained. We especially enjoyed the 2 decks and kitchen. Beds were quite comfortable. We enjoyed the peacefullness since the property is far from the main road. zit is also only a short drive to Taliesin and the American Players theater and the Wisconsin River. Great place for a gathering!

Family Camp

My siblings and our families have had an annual camp out for the past 30 years. This year we decided to do something different and we are glad we did. The property was great, very clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for all of our needs. It was great to be able to relax and enjoy each other's company in beautiful surroundings. The ice maker was great! Everything we needed was there. We especially enjoyed the fire pit both nights. I would recommend this property for any family or friend gathering. Thank you so much.

A Repeat Outstanding Golf Stay...

After a terrific experience last year, my group of 16 golfers returned for another outstanding stay at the Cedar Valley Preserve lodge... aka 'the Bourbon Barn'. There are few places this spacious and with such great amenities. 8 bedrooms (5 bathrooms) and separate beds for all... a fully equipped kitchen with a restaurant sized stove/double oven... a communal bar and dining space to eat and drink as one group... and an ice maker that stayed well ahead of any demands we could make on it during the very hot days of early August. Our hosts provided everything we needed... in fine fashion. We golfed at the House on the Rock Resort, a convenient 10 minutes away... sandwiched between courses in Madison and Reedsburg. This was a repeat visit of a similar trip last year... and for good reason. My guys could not be more impressed. I highly recommend this place for a large group stay.

Annual Boys Weekend of Golf

This place was special... 8 rooms for 14 guys (2 of our guys stayed in their Madison homes) with huge space inside and out fit our golf plans perfectly. We played at the House on the Rock courses just 15 minutes away... but even our travel to Reedsburg CC and U-Ridges (both about 45 mins away) was a reasonable trade off given the outstanding accommodations. Bedding was comfortable. 5 baths, while spread out from the rooms, served everyone well each morning. Kitchen was well equipped for our dinners... the space to eat was large enough for an army of duffers. The bar was certainly a rallying spot, with a huge ice machine and plenty of room to manage our after golf 'needs'. The owners took an appreciated hands off approach to out stay leaving us necessary instruction on what to do, but were always well within contact range if needed. This was an impressive space for a bunch of guys looking to golf, eat, drink and trash talk their friends' games for a few days. I would highly recommend.

The house is worth every penny we paid. There is nothing this house didn’t have (even an ice maker). There was 17 of us and everyone wants to rent again . Jennifer was great to work with.

We had such a wonderful time at this lovely lodge. My extended family and I enjoyed the idyllic setting and the immaculate amenities while enjoying some much-needed together time and relaxation. Great Place to Getaway

The accommodations were perfect for our staff retreat of 18 people. Plenty of room to meet (the Board Room was excellent). Plenty of room to gather for meals. The fire pit was a nice amenity for gathering at night and sharing stories. The huge grill was good for grilling for a big group. Highly recommend the property for your group.

Wonderful property and hosts!

We are a family of 19, 10 adults and kids ranging from 9 months to 16. We had a very enjoyable three nights in this beautiful home. With eight bedrooms there was plenty of sleeping room so we were very comfortable. The living space was great and the kitchen so user friendly. There was plenty of outdoor space for ball games and running remote control cars plus the fire pit was big enough for all of us to sit around and enjoy. We all wanted to take the commercial sized ice maker home with us! 😆Thank you to our gracious host and hostess.

remarkable rental

This was our family's first post pandemic gathering and it was a wonderful experience.About 2/3 of the family stayed at this location and the rest at another rental. This rental was everythnbg we could have hoped for and more. The kitchen was well-equiped and the biggest joy was that it had a beer tap including CO2 to keep the beer flowing. The owner even had a New Glarus tap handle (it was for Spotted Cow not the Grolsch we had bought, but it till was a wonderful addition. This was the best family reunion we have ever had and the rental more than lived up to its promise.

Huge Gathering Space + Sleeping Accomodations

Property is great for a large group of people. Lots of space outside for yard games / activities along with sizeable deck. Tons indoor space for large groups to cook meals, play games, etc. We had 12 guys there for the weekend. Sleeping and showering really easy with 8 individual bedrooms and ~20 individual sleeping spots (everyone had their own bed and still some to spare), along with 5 large bathrooms with showers. Significant storage space for refrigerated food and drinks. Two notes: (1) the "office" looking space is specifically for smoking, so we did not end up using it because of the smell. (2) need to bring your own propane tank for the grill as this was not provided. Hosts are wonderful and kind people. Very happy with our experience!

We couldn't be happier with our accommodations and the attentiveness of the property owners!

The setting was amazing (lots of hills, trees, landscaping, space), the house/barn was beyond compare. Everything was clean and cozy (but roomy) and accommodating to our family of 16. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms fully stocked with everything we needed. The spacious common room had plenty of tables for eating, playing games and socializing. We enjoyed it all so very much!
