Two bedrooms on main floor with 1 Queen in each. Loft has 2 full size beds. TV/DVD, Washer/Dryer. Full kitchen (no dishwasher), hardwood floors and tastefully decorated for a cabin feel. Deck overlooks river. Fish from your front yard! Put your feet in the river and watch the canoes and kayaks float by. Enjoy an evening campfire while listening to the sound of the river. This is a wonderful place to stay. Very nice cabin right on the Platte River. Location was great close to Lake Michigan beaches, a short drive to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We would stay again if we vacation in that area again.

Fabulous stay!

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is brilliant, the location amazing, we loved the river and watching the kingfishers fly every morning from the deck. I would be back in a heartbeat!

This was a magical place to stay. The river is so peaceful I enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the water. My kids loved playing in the river. You feel very secluded. I hope to come back in the future to enjoy another week here.

Wonderful cabin!

We had a great stay on the Platte River. The cabin was very comfortable and the location was perfect. Loved being right on the river. There is lots to do close by - great restaurants, beaches and shopping. We can't wait to come back.

Cozy Cabin

Loved this adorable log cabin next to the river. It felt private, we loved eating dinner at the table and watching the fish jump and play in the little sandbar by the cabin. It was clean and welcoming, would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful home and property!

This home is very clean and absolutely beautiful in the woods along the river! We stayed here and did some skiing at Crystal Mountain which is just 20 minutes away. Great host!

Ironman 70.3 race

The cabin was a perfect place to stay for our race, it was close to the race site and everything we needed was a short drive. The cabin has all the essentials we needed, the beds and sofas were comfortable. We also enjoyed the deck and the river runningthrough the property.

We live nearby in Elberta, MI. We have 4 children. I retired from The Federal Aviation Administration and my wife works at the local hospital in Frankfort.

Why they chose this property

This is an Up North Destination! We built this cabin in 1996. We chose this location for it's seclusion and proximity to the Platte River. Without any other homes in view, this truly feels private.

What makes this property unique

Relaxing on the deck, listening to the river and watching kayaks and canoes drift by. Not a care in the world. Put your chair in the river and soak your feet. The river is crystal clear with a gravel bottom. Occasionally you will see fish swim by.
