The lake house was exactly as advertised and we had a fabulously peaceful week. Sitting on the back deck we heard only sounds of nature and could relax with coffee viewing the lake. We were within very reasonable driving distance to visit Conway and Little Rock or to head out to Petit Jean State Park to hike. We'll be back!
What an absolute beautiful place to just get away and relax! There's absolutely no noise and the views from inside the house as well as the dock are absolutely gorgeous. You can get some of the best sunset pictures on the lake! Debbie and Rob were an absolute pleasure to work with. I will definitely be back!
Home had everything we needed. Only needed to bring our food. Location was very peaceful. Host (Debbie) for the property provided over the top guest service. Would definiely rent again.
The house, property and lake view was nice, quiet and so relaxing I really enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the swing and drinking coffee and grilling outside. The back porch is to die for. It was so peaceful. The place was easy to find and easy to check in. Ms Peggy was so great to work with.
The lake house is close to Petit Jean State Park where we went to for two of our days there so we could hike. If I go back to that area I would definitely stay here again.
It was a home away from home. Had everything one would need to function from a supplied kitchen, to grill, and even toys for the kids. Had a wonderful time with great view of the lake. Caught quite a few fish and made some great memories!!!
Secluded and extremely clean and comfortable. There is a feeling of home surrounding this place. The only 4 star that was left was probably due to the Vrbo website translation of the property. This property is amazing and the lake view was breathtaking. Thank you to the owner and property managers for the cleanliness and meticulous attention to detail. At no point during our 3 night stay was there any discomfort. A+++++
Amazing location and beautiful views from the porch!
This rental exceeded our expectations.
The yard has a nice concrete path all the way to the dock. Amazing views that a camera cannot capture. We loved having our adult beverages on the porch as we watched the sun dissappear. It was perfect for what were looking for and we had great communication with the property manager that went way out of they way to make sure our needs were met. The bathroom area was a little small for a 240lbs 6ft man but was easily managed. The location is great. It allowed us to visit Hot Springs, Little Rock, and Petite Jean with minimal driving. We plan to return next year. Also the locking driveway gate was nice.
We stayed at this home for the eclipse. It is a beautiful location right on the lake which made for a perfect clear view during the eclipse. I wish we could have stayed longer. The home had everything we needed for our stay and we had a great time.
Wonderful house that sits right on the lake. We loved sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the morning. All kitchen dishes, etc that you could possibly need are available. We used the charcoal grill each night. Beds very comfortable. We took day trips to Hot Springs and Little Rock. Short walk through yard to the dock. Pole holders hooked to dock. Only down side is not many fish in the lake as it seems to need restocked. We appreciated the Dish tv available to wind down before heading to bed at night. Overall it was a relaxing getaway and would highly recommend!
If you're looking for a 5 star resort, this is not your rental. However, if you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing getaway, this is definitely a great option. Everything you need inside and plenty of outdoor space for family activities and wonderful lake views from the house and deck. Did I mention how peaceful and quiet it was. Peggy was very a very accommodating host. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
The home was spacious beautiful and inviting! There is so much room in the home and on the property to just relax and let your sole unwind. The owner Peggy was very kind and accommodating to my needs!
We had a wonderful time at the lake house. It was super close to Petit Jean state park. It was so nice waking up each morning and drinking coffee looking at the lake!
This was so relaxing, views are beautiful! Peaceful and quiet. The back deck is the best!!! The sunsets are spectacular. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation! Will be back!
We loved staying at the Lakehouse! We were in town to visit family and were tired of staying in a hotel. We loved waking up to the view of the lake every morning. It was such a great change of scenery. The fire pit was also awesome for when my cousin and her kids came to visit. Having the grill was perfect and allowed us to enjoy each other’s company and not have to go out to eat every night. We will definitely consider staying here again when we come to town!
This home was overall great. Great view of the lake, plenty of wood for the fire-pit. It was a short drive from beautiful Petite Jean state park. Only legitimate negative was the home's main AC unit, it was loud to the point that it has some sort of issue. It would vibrate and shake, creating a very loud noise and rattling a wall/window in one of the bedrooms. Small negative was the ceiling fan in one bedroom wasn't functioning.
We spent a great week in Arkansas with the Harris Brake Lakehouse as our base of operations. We spent days exploring Hot Springs, Petit Jean State Park and the surrounding region and were able to come back to a quiet spot on a beautiful lake for grilling and outdoor dinners, as well as teaching my daughter to fish from the dock. I'm already missing sitting on the porch!
The house is cute. Odd but efficient use of space. The comfy bed is next to the washer and dryer in one bedroom. The furniture was comfortable. The sunset view at the end of the pier was spectacular. Firewood was provided for the pit. There was a partial bag of charcoal left on the lovely porch, possibly by previous guest. You’d need to bring your own charcoal starter fluid.
We were very satisfied with our stay but would suggest you bring anything you’ll want or need including coffee, sugar, creamer, plenty of mosquito spray, shampoo etc. We forgot our shampoo and had to drive into town as the complimentary hotel sized bottle provided would not last 4 people long. Our bad. The host was very nice and friendly.
Nearby boat rentals available but are just 3 person electric trolling boats. Still fun To toddle around on.
We have been visiting Arkansas for quite some time but this cabin was the best so far!! It is spacious, clean, have all the necessities that you can think of, lakefront (makes it perfect view from inside and outside). Enough space to sit by the lake. Just loved it and definitely recommend!!
The property is beautiful and the house is just like home. All you need to add is food. We totally enjoyed our relaxing visit and will be booking again. Highly recommend.
This is a perfect house to take a break from your busy life to unplug and relax.
We were happy to find this house with its close proximity to the Ouachita National Forest. Our son ran the Arkansas Traveler 100 Ultra Marathon through the forest.
The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for four adults. The deck overlooking the lake was perfect to relax and drink your coffee. We used the binoculars to watch turtles under the neighbors dock. If we walked closer to them, they’d jump back into the water so the binoculars were great!
The sunsets are not to be missed! I was glad I’d read previous reviewer’s comments so we’d make sure to be at the house by sunset.
Peggy was very responsive and helped us with a special request we had and we really appreciated it!
