Northern Exposure in Town 0.9 Miles to Main Street - 4BR/2.5BA

Northern Exposure is located in Nantucket near town center on Lower Orange Street just beyond West Creek Road, nine-tenths of a mile from Main Street.

Four bedrooms, two full baths, and one-half bath. Eight-adult person maximum. First bedroom - king-size, second bedroom - full-size, third bedroom - twins, and fourth bedroom - twins. Sundeck and off-street parking.

Only Full Week Rentals from Sunday to Sunday - end of June until early September. Memorial day weekend is available as a part of a full week rental only.

Daily Rates are available for Off-Season Rentals with a 3 Night Minimum.

Rentals made prior to January 15 require an initial payment of 1/3 of the total rental amount plus 11.7% state and local taxes and the refundable security deposit are due within 3 days of booking. (Security deposit is 10% of the total rental amount or $400 for weekly).

1/3 of total rental plus 11.7% state and local taxes are due April 15. The remainder of rent plus 11.7% state and local taxes are due no less than 30 days prior to arrival date.

Rentals made after January 15: One-half of total rental amount plus 11.7% state and local taxes and the refundable security deposit is due within 3 days of booking. Security deposit is 10% of the total monthly rental amount or $400 minimum for weekly. The remainder of the rent plus 11.7% state and local taxes to be received no less than 30 days prior to arrival date.

Rentals made within 30 days of arrival date: The total rental amount and security deposit (payable by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal bank transfer, or PayPal balance transfer) including a signed lease must be received prior to arrival.

These policies are for renters from the US only. There will be different payment requirements and lease terms for all non-US Lessees.
There is no cancellation provision in our lease agreement. If an emergency precludes use, we will make best effort to re-rent at the same rate and, if successful, the renter will receive a refund, less a cancellation fee of 10 percent of the gross rental. If the period cannot be re-rented, the entire rent shall be payable and forfeited.

We had a wonderful stay at this Nantucket rental! The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — it truly felt like a home away from home. It was also very well equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owners provided plenty of bath and beach towels, and even beach chairs, which made our beach outings super easy. The location was perfect: just a short walk to a grocery store and a great local coffee shop, and less than a mile to downtown and all the shops. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay on the island.

Fantastic spot!

We loved our stay at Northern Exposure. The house is even nicer in person that it shows in the lovely pictures online and you cannot beat the location. You are right near endless convenient things that you can walk to but still feel tucked away and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation!

We were so impressed with the house for our Nantucket vacation. It met our every needs, was in a great location and was very comfortable for our family of 5 (plus one child). Enjoyed grilling on the porch and eating outside. House was very well equipped with just about everything you could possibly need for cooking/beach etc. Wonderful stay!

Perfect Weekend at Northern Exposure

My friends and I stayed at Northern Exposure for a long weekend and we had the most amazing time! The house is perfect for our group of 8 and had everything we needed, the listing doesn’t do it justice! The location was perfect, close to town, bike path, and wave stops as well as a grocery store. Check in was easy and Roland was very responsive. We will absolutely be back to Northern Exposure in the future!

I stayed at Northern Exposure with a group of 7 girls (including me) and the home could not have been more perfect. We were able to walk to the grocery store when we arrived to stock up, had breakfast one morning at Island Kitchen nearby and were walking distance to so many other island favorites! On a couple of occasions we even opted to walk to town vs. taking an Uber. In addition to the fantastic location, the house was a great size, was spotless and had so many convenient rental features - plenty of towels, beach chairs to use, and a great range of kitchen amenities (k-cup, blender, etc.). We also fell in love with the "upside down" concept, immediately loving the convenience of not having to carry our luggage up and also appreciating all getting ready together before heading out. Icing on the cake was having the small patio area to enjoy. Roland was fantastic and easy to communicate with and everyone in our group would definitely recommend a stay at Northern Exposure!

Great for a Family!

I have a big family (7 people) and we always struggle to find something that can fit us all. We were here for our cousins wedding and this place was amazing! We could take the free Nantucket Wave (bus) almost anywhere and it was just a few blocks away from the house. Next door is a fabulous consignment store. The weather was beautiful and all appliances worked perfectly. The beds were so comfortable and the house was in perfect condition. Thank you for having us Roland!

Terrific property

I wasn't sure about being a little further out of town, but it turned out the location was terrific. We were able to walk into town in about 20 minutes, but could bike there very quickly. In some ways the location was almost preferable because it's near lots of other things like the supermarket, the donut shop, a terrific coffee shop right next-door, a good breakfast place, etc., etc. We would definitely consider renting there again.

Great house and location

We stayed here for a girls trip and it was great! We often walked to and from town for dinners or it is a super short drive. While downtown is a few minutes away, there is a grocery store, liquor store, great restaurants and coffee literally steps away. Easy access to the bike paths too! Awesome spot for a family or group and the host was great to work with.

Centrally Located Nantucket Getaway

I spent 2-weeks at Northern Exposure with 3 other friends and it was a great, well-equipped home. From the kitchen, to the towels and beach chairs to the plastic cups there was not much the House was lacking that one would need. Easily walkable to certain bakeries and other places and not far from really anything on the island. We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing location for friends weekend away

Great House and location

Hi, This was a great house. The location is great. You can walk to town in about 15 minutes. The best part is you only blocks from the stop and shop, the best coffee, best pizza, and much more which is great when you have little kids with you. The house was super clean. Nicely furnished. Would definitely rent it again.

Beautiful home, great location

Me and my girlfriends had the most perfect long weekend at this beautiful home. The house is gorgeous. It was spotless when we arrived and all appeared to be very recently updated. The location is great. It was a short walk to town, and very easy access to a grocery store and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here. Roland was kind and informative. We look forward to coming back to Nantucket!

Great house for 8 people!!

My family & I rented this house for a week in June. There were 8 of us and we all fit very comfortably. There was a great big room for all of us to sit around that was connected to the large kitchen. The shuttle stop to different places was on the road of the house. We walked into town which was less than a mile. Working with the owner, Roland, was wonderful. Talked with him a few times prior to our visit. While we were there I had a question and left a message; he called me back right way so I was very happy about that. I would highly recommend renting this house! Thanks again, Roland!
