Old Florida Charm, quiet, close to beach and boat launch.

Old Florida Charm, in a newly renovated and comfortably appointed cottage, steps from Manasota Beach, and Lemon Bay.

It is only a short walk to the the glorious Manasota Beach, where you can watch beautiful sunsets, stroll the beach looking for fossilized sharks teath, shells and other treasures.

If you enjoy fishing, you can park your boat and trailer in the extra driveway on the property, and enjoy the public boat launch on Lemon Bay, less then 1/2 a mile away. Lemon bay has easy access to the gulf, where you can enjoy a variety of fishing opportunities.

The cottage has everything you need in its newly renovated kitchen. Enjoy the comfortable living room, and spacious screened in Lanai. Also the games room includes a games table, where you can play pool, or pingpong. The secluded back deck is private and comfortable.

Sleeping arrangements have a master bedroom with King Bed, and 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, and have roll out singles underneath. There is a spare room with 2 single beds as well allowing you to sleep 10 comfortably.

Bicycles are available as well as extra beach chairs in the shed.

Within a few minutes drive you will find numerous restaurants, groceries and shopping.

You can choose going to excellent restaurants in Venice, or Englewood both only a short drive away.

Wirless internet is also available.

Peter was very welcoming. The location couldn’t have been better. Having dogs we were within 20 min. Of a beautiful dog beach in Venice. There were many walking opportunities for our dogs and birding. The place is fully equipped and the neighbors were super friendly.

The house was dated. It did have a nice kitchen and the beds were comfortable. It met our needs, but it was nothing spectacular. It would be good for a visit visiting family since it had lots of beds. The two pool table was uneven, and legs were broke, but it met our needs because we were visiting a relative and just needed a place to stay close to their house.

Great property in quiet neighborhood. Only 1m to beach (walkable) and also good location to visit various springs, mineral pool, parks, etc.

Sweet little home at a convenient distance from the beach—less than a five minute drive for us, and parking was always pretty easy, even on a 4th of July weekend! The kitchen was stocked and clean. Mr. Peter was very kind and attentive to our needs. Would stay again!

So close to the beach

Nice house that had plenty of sleeping for us, had a well stocked kitchen with all necessary pots, pans, and utensils you would need. Would def stay there again.

Nice house, great location

The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a month’s stay. Host was responsive to questions and maintenance needs. Loved being just a 15-minute stroll from the beach! Quiet neighborhood, plenty of attractions a short drive away, shopping close by and easy to get to main roads. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely consider staying here again!

We loved it here! Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable and the house is within walking distance to the beaches. They need to upgrade their TVs though, that would be my only complaint. Quiet neighborhood.

My family and I absolutely loved our week stay at this place! It's so close to so many beaches and Peter provided so many great things (2 beach chairs, shell rake)! He would check in and make sure our experience was great! This truly was an amazing week with unforgettable memories made <3 thanks Peter for everything!

Convenient and comfortable

We stayed for 2 weeks to show at Fox Lea Farm - about 18-20 min depending on time of day. Then 20 min to Sharky's or the dog beach. Very comfortable for everyone, with space for more - extra blankets and pillows to rearrange when necessary.

Florida fun !!

Enjoyed our weeks in Florida. We liked that the house was so close to the beach. Manasota beech is beautiful. The house is truly old Florida charm with the bright colors on the walls and beachy decor. We had some trouble with the lock- getting into the house. Peter was attentive and got the neighbor to help us. He also got the problem resolved in a reasonable time. Englewood is easy to navigate to go to retail stores and restaurants. Played pickleball on a beautiful public complex.

The house was everything we needed and more. Very well equipped. The large Lania was so nice to sit and have our favorite beverage after a day at the beach. We had it rented for the month of February, but I flew back to Minnesota 3 weeks early. My mother was in Hospice care and not doing well. Peter was nice enough to give us a refund for the time we missed out on. Thank you Peter Dori and Craig

Quiet comfortable cottage

Thank you Peter, for giving us the opportunity to rent your lovely home. We loved it here! Beds were comfortable and the house is within walking distance to the beach. For the kids they loved playing with the Legos and the big kids (Adults) loved playing billard and playing games in the evening when the kids went to sleep. TV for me and my family was not important! We enjoyed very much fishing, even though we had no luck. Every time we went to the beach, I got everyone looking for shark teeth. They had so much fun doing it. One thing that I personnally didn't like, was that the WIFI that is directly next to the bed. As a suggestion; i would put it on top of the shelf, from the livingroom unit. Other than that, we love it there! In the near future we would love to rent your place again!! Thank you.....

Great Place

My family and I enjoyed this property so much. It is located in a community setting with a large front yard. We enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch every night. It was 3 minutes from the beach which was absolutely gorgeous. The items Peter had in the building outback were extremely nice to have. The house was well stocked. Peter was very attentive to any needs that we may have had. This is a beautiful home that I will for sure be staying here again. Such great memories were made!

Great place to stay!

This home was perfect for our family! The owner was great to work with and the beach is super close! The house has a beachy feel to it and has plenty of beds. And our kids loved having a pool/ping pong table to play on. The screened in porch was ideal for a cup of coffee early in the morning before the day got started. Hope to stay at this home again! The Perfect Beach House!!

I've been meaning to write a review about my stay at Peter's magical beach house last fall. Everything about this house and the area was just perfect. I had rented a couple of others houses online the turned out to be disappointing so when I arrived at Peter's house I was so delightfully relieved at how clean, peaceful, and comfortable everything was and how absolutely perfect the location was so close to my favorite beach. World class sunsets, morning yoga on the sun porch, beautiful meals and restful sleep... I would love to return again. This house also has one of the most gorgeous trees I've ever seen in the front yard and such a feeling of goodness to it.

Great Location. Great Value.

This was our first experience finding and renting a vacation house. We originally wanted a beach front property but found them already booked and way out of our price range. Peter's house is not on the beach, but the next best thing. Only a 5 minute drive or a 15-20 minute easy walk. The neighborhood is a nice and quiet residential area with well kept properties. Peter's house was clean and it was obvious he has had it updated. It was very nice and the screened-in porch was great for evening cookouts and relaxing. We had 8 adults and 1 small child, so the sleeping was a little cramped, but doable. Probably best for only 6 adults. The rental fee was very reasonable and fair and Peter has been great to work with. I would recommend his house to others and we may come back again.

Englewood Vacation

We stayed the last week of July at Peter's place. The House was ideal for our family of 8. The beach is close and the house was very comfortable. Location is convenient to Venice and Englewood beaches. We were very pleased with the location and amenities. The game room and screened lanai made room for everyone to enjoy.

Great location

We stayed at Peter's place during the Christmas break. The location is ideal for family in winter. It's within walking distance to Manasota Beach. If the weather is a bit on the cool side, the kids sure will enjoy picking shells and shark teeth. Yes, you can find fossilized shark teeth at Manasota Beach as well.

Great beach cottage

My extended family stayed here for spring break. It worked great for 5 adults and one child. They walked to the beach every day and enjoyed all the features in the house. Plenty of room to eat and sleep, and they loved relaxing on the lanai. They want to come back!

We have always dreamed of having a wonderful home near the beach, and this is it! I grew up in Canada, and in Australia, so I have experienced living by the beach, but certainly miss it while living in Canada.

Why they chose this property

We have been travelling to this area since 2002, and have fallen in love with this place. It is quiet, but close to great restaurants and night life in Venice. You can still travel to Disney area for day trips. But this Old Florida charm, provides comfort to your soul.

What makes this property unique
