Viareggio is a less touristy beach town. This is a ground-floor apartment, easy walking distance to the park, grocery store, and the strand. We stayed in July and it was hot — note there’s no air conditioning or screens on the windows to keep mosquitos out. Parking is on the street, and we always found a spot within a block. Load the EasyPark app ahead of time. We drove to the free beach, south of town, which was just fine. The apartment doesn’t really have coffee-making technology, but there’s a great cafe, bakery, and gelateria a short walk away.
