Loved this little cabin with its quiet, secluded neighborhood and awesome views of the lake and distant mountains. We did not see any wildlife on the property, but regularly saw and heard the loons on the lake.
The property is exactly as the vrbo ad suggests. The owners live nearby and are available to help/answer questions. People interested in going out on the lake should rent a small pickup or SUV and bring rented/purchased kayaks or stand up paddleboards with them as none is provided and there isn't a rental shop within 25 miles of Daniels Lake. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for natural beauty and peace and quiet.
This was definitely a 10 out of 10! The owners were very communicative and helpful...the cabin and property were GORGEOUS...we would highly recommend...we were there for 9 nights/10 days...
Perfect for 2 people. Quiet & serene. Excellent communication with Manager. Needed some supplies. Maybe we couldn’t find it. (Shower soap and laundry soap). Small sq footage.
From the moment we walked in the door (once we tore ourselves away from the spectacular lake view), it felt like home. All the little artistic touches from the lumber round flooring in the living room, to the gorgeous tiled shower, and the antler railing in the bedroom - it is a true delight! Perfect for two people. Amazingly comfortable bed, thick luxurious towels, and that deck with the never ending views of the lake and the mountains beyond. Perfection! Seeing the eagles flying by at eye level with their fresh, wriggling catch in their powerful talons, and hearing the loons calling is nature at its best. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place, Kelly and Dan, we so enjoyed our stay!
My wife and I spent 13 days here. The cabin was perfect. It was decorated in a cabin feel. Gorgeous view of Daniels lake got to watch the Eagles fly over the cabin twice a day just egg overall great place to get away from work and to unwind.
I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.
Kelly was absolutely amazing to talk to, and responded very quickly to any comments or concerns that we had.
Can’t say enough about this place. Miss it already.
We were in Alaska for 12 days and stayed in 6 different places and this cabin was by far are favorite. So peaceful and comfy. The sounds of the loons on the lake were amazing. The cabin had everything you needed and Kelly was so nice and prompt with any questions. Not far from a grocery store and you could not ask for a more beautiful view. Made the end of our unbelievable trip an amazing experience.
I stayed at the cabin during a work trip in Kenai. The cabin is really nice in a super peaceful location.
It is in a remote location… about 30 minute drive from Kenai.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.
We stayed here because one of my friends was getting married on their homestead 10 minutes away. Everything we needed with a fabulous view. The owner was quick to respond to any questions I had. Will definitely check to stay here next time I come out.
Completely exceeded our expectations!! We were in Alaska for 3 weeks and this place was our favorite lodging! Smallest house we’ve ever rented also the most unique and beautifully decorated. The flooring, the slate volcano, the shower, the wine rack….I could go on and on. Top that with views of Denali, the lonely call of the loon, and (best yet) watching the salmon swim upstream to get to the lake……definitely an Alaska adventure! Definitely recommend!
This was exactly what my husband and I wanted; a beautiful, cozy home in a gorgeous location so we could truly relax. Perfection!!!

Why they chose this property
It is a private setting with a small creek that has Sockeye Salmon running in it during August and September. The flowers are everywhere-A special property and nice home nestled into the hill side. The Loons and Eagles and sunsets-drew us in. A perfect place for some R&R while enjoying the surrounding views and lake activities.
