About this property

*NEWER Yosemite Inverness House* with Central Air and Heat Inside Yosemite Park

Yosemite West is centrally located inside the park entrance, and sits near an intersection of the roads leading to the park's most famous features: Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.

This private updated 2-level house sits at the end of a quiet street, with a network of running and hiking trails surrounding the neighborhood. Too hot? Too cold? Not a problem. Our home features central air conditioning for those too hot for comfort nights and central heat to keep every part of the house toasty.

KITCHEN / DINING / DECK
Cook comfortably in our fully-equipped kitchen with full-size, stainless steel appliances, gas range, granite countertops and fully stocked with service for 8 and all the necessary gadgets to prepare your favorite meals. Pantry is stocked with a variety of spices and individually wrapped teas, sugar and cream. The dining area has a pub-style table for six and is open to the living room area.

Enjoy the views while you grill, dine or lounge outdoors on our expansive 300 sq ft. deck. You have your choice of grilling on a GAS BBQ grill (located on the deck) or grilling on a free-standing, cast iron, CHARCOAL grill (located on the lower level in front of the house).

PICNIC BASKET
We’ve provided a picnic basket and cooler for a spontaneous picnic in the park. Picnic basket serves 6 and includes individually wrapped salt & pepper. Reusable ice packs can be found in the freezer.

LIVING ROOM
Clean, bright and tastefully decorated, the living room is an inviting space with a large and comfortable curved sectional sofa, gas burning stove, flat-screen TV, and plenty of DVDs for your next movie night. The dish network connection is very unreliable due to the height of the surrounding trees. We are hoping a new carrier will soon come into the Yosemite West area with a more reliable TV service.

LIBRARY WEST
A diverse and extensive library of books is available for you to enjoy including books on Yosemite, hikes and nature walks. You may take books with you if haven’t finished reading them and you’re also welcome to contribute to our library with books of your own. There are plenty of “reading lights” conveniently throughout the house.

BEDROOMS
The first bedroom is furnished with a full size bed and twin bunk beds. The second is furnished with a king sized bed. The master bedroom is also furnished with a king bed. Bathroom #1 has dual sinks with granite countertop, tiled floor, full size shower/tub and plenty of natural light. The master bathroom has dual sinks, granite countertops, tiled floors, and a shower.

BATHROOM
Plenty of natural light fills the bathroom and features dual sinks, granite counter tops and tiled floor. Enjoy “hotel-like” complimentary toiletries. First aid kit under the bathroom sink.

WASHER/DRYER
Full size washer and dryer available for guests staying 3 days or more.

We stayed here for spring break 2026 and we were so happy with the location. It’s an easy 25 minute drive to the valley floor, and since this home is located within the park we avoided the daily entrance lines. The home was comfy with everything we needed. I gave four stars for cleanliness due to some minor housekeeping issues, but the response to that was quick and lovely. We would happily stay here again!

The perfect place for any adventure in or around the valley. Quick to all the locations which means much less curvy roads for day trips. House is super clean and comfortable. I think the king bedroom without the bathroom has the most comfortable bed. The house is in a wonderful setting, we were able to hear the stream nearby and we saw deer walk through the front door. Highly recommend.

This home is really relaxing and cozy in Yosemite West. It was very clean, the appliances were easy to use, and the directions for arrival were great. There is a nice balcony, and plenty of beds in the home. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay again.

You cannot beat the location of this VRBO! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Judy is an attentive host and gave excellent instructions that helped us anticipate our stay; we had no surprises or problems, but I’m sure that if we did, she would be there to help solve them and to assure a good vacation in her home. We enjoyed our time in the house and had a very lovely five days in Yosemite National Park.

Beautiful property, Judy was very nice. The kitchen are fully equipped and stocked with cooking ingredients. Make sure you really need to read the direction. One of the best location if you need to go to Yosemite Valley area for several days. Only it take 30 minutes to reach the Yosemite Falls. The location of the house was perfect for planning our activities over the 5 days we were in the park. House was very clean and had a nice supply of items for our use along with a nice gas fireplace inside and outdoor gas grill and a charcoal grill. Host was very quick to respond to any questions and gave us additional information due to the government shutdown which happened before we arrived.

The property was excellent, comfortable, quiet, and perfectly situated for YNP. To be so close to the major sights and not have to go through the entrance gates is wonderful. Wonderful place to stay! My husband and I, with our 18 month old daughter, stayed 4 nights here and we found it to be a perfect place for families. It’s in a quiet corner of Yosemite West. They have everything you need to cook with, WiFi, and TV. They have a pack n play, high chair and ample space for our energetic girl to run around. There is only 1 set of stairs inside and they have a baby gate for that which we found to be fantastic! There were just a couple minor details in cleaning but overall the place was very well maintained.Judy is very attentive! We had an unexpected winter storm mid October and she guided us on what to do and made sure our family was doing well and safe. We would likely stay here again!

This place is 12 miles from El Capitan Meadows, the best picnic spot in the Valley. At about 5500 feet above sea level, it’s nice and cool all summer when the Valley is sweltering. At the edge of the Yosemite West, there’s no development on any lot surrounding this one, so it’s private.

Yosemite West is located inside the park entrance, and sits near an intersection of the roads leading to the park's most famous features: Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. These popular park destinations are all within 15-18 miles (30-35 minutes) from Yosemite West in three different directions. And for winter fun, we enjoy the Badger Pass ski area (only seven miles away).
