Main cabin is cedar lined. Has 3 BR and queen sleeper. BR1-King, BR2-Queen with sleeping loft, twin bunks in 4 season porch. 1 Full BA with granite counter/2 sinks, 2nd full bath in basement, 3rd BA in Beach house with outside shower. Large open kitchen and spacious great room/dining room with full wall of windows overlooking lake. Large wraparound deck with gas grill. Patio. 7 acre private property with 250 ft of lake frontage. Also a beach house steps from water with queen bed, twin over full size bunk, daybed, twin bunk and half BA with outdoor shower. *THE BEACH HOUSE IS SEASONAL. CLOSED IN OCTOBER-MAY. DOCKS AND PONTOON TAKEN OUT SOMETIME IN OCTOBER. So if you want to use those items in October please inquire to be sure they will be available. Patio, picnic table and seawall to sit and watch water activities and sunsets. Permanent dock along the shoreline available year round. This is the 3rd generation that has grown up at the lake..memories, friends, family, loving lake living. Swimming, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking. Close to Bayfield with their 4-star restaurants (Wild Rice) and ferry rides to Madeline Island. Ashland Visitor center 20 min away definitely worth the drive. Lake life at its finest. Memories to make. Also, have a 20' pontoon that seats 12. Rent on an as needed basis. $125/day. No pre-reservation required.

We have an annual guys ATV trip every year and this Cabin was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location was great and the house had everything you need and the place was very clean. Will definitely stay at this place if we travel to this area in the future.

Fabulous Lake Home

This was a beautiful property on the lake. The home had everything and more we needed for a very comfortable stay. The beach house was awesome. The host was very attentive and easy to contact. Would highly recommend this property.

Hart Lake

The cabin was light-filled, private, and offered great views of the lake. Everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together was available. We took the pontoon boat out for a day and enjoyed a tour of the chain of lakes. We'd love to return!

Perfect Vacation

AMAZING!!! this cabin and location is perfect for a family vacation. Our family of nine had plenty of room, we loved the large table that allowed us all to sit around the table together as a family. The cabin had all necessary items plus many extras. The pictures do not due it justice. Its very close to the lake which is very clear with no weeds and the kitchen and living room is much larger than it appears in pictures. Stephanie responded and answered all our questions very quickly. I can not think of or would not change a thing about this place.

Beautiful peaceful setting

My family of 10 had a most fun filled and relaxing time at the Geary's cabin on Hart Lake. The cabin was clean, roomy and open; and the beach house was a perfect place for my 2 married daughter's and their husbands. We had plenty to do on the beautiful, clean, clear lake with the Geary's pontoon which we rented for several days, the kayaks and 2 rental canoes from a local outfitter. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming as the water is just wonderfully clear and cool; and each evening enjoyed quiet paddles around the larger lake system seeing the native plants and wildlife. The Geary's cabin had all the necessary items for cooking and grilling meals, comfortable sleeping areas, plenty of places for a large group to find quiet moments as well as lots of family fun together. Also, the sound of the loons in the evening was just magical. My family and I hope to return to this beautiful property next year. Thank you, Stephanie and David, for sharing your beautiful vacation property!

Great stay on Hart Lake

Lovely, Peaceful, Place

Beautifully decorated, comfortable home. Lots of comfy seating inside and out. The lake was crystal clear lake. We wish it had been warm enough to swim! There is a great boutique in Iron River, (The Old Bunkhouse) and a fun thrift shop; in addition to the shoes in Ashland and Bayfield. We would most definitely come back to this cabin!!! (FYI: the two bedrooms at the main house are adjacent to each other with one bathroom accommodating both bedrooms. If people don’t want to share a bathroom, there is another bathroom in the main house, in the basement. For those parties with multiple families, the Beach House offers additional levels sleeping options and privacy with it’s own bathroom.

A perfect getaway

Hart Lake Snowmobiling Trip

This was an excellent location for a Bayfield County snowmobile trip. The owners were very helpful and the home was better than the pictures would indicate. The snowmobile trip goes across the lake in front of the house and there was plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers.

awesome place

We loved our stay here! Fabulous property and location. Close to hiking. Gorgeous lake. Nice, comfortable bunk house. Well-stocked kitchen. Great communication with the owner. One wish...I wish we had known there would not be drinkable water. We would have brought along instead of driving to town and buying in plastic bottles. Also no place to recycle. Everything went in the dumpster. Other than those two things, it was wonderful.

Excellent location for relaxing and fishing!

Beautiful home for relaxing and fishing. This was the choice for our annual "guys" fishing trip and the house had excellent accommodations for 5 adults. Would have given all 5-stars except there was initial confusion about sheets for the beds that weren't made. Would recommend this home for anyone looking for a lake get-a-way!

Perfect Getaway

This was the best place to escape. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities of being at home with the beauty of the Mountains and lake. Nothing beats an evening pontoon boat stroll around the quiet lake.

Amazing views!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin - especially the gorgeous lake views through the trees. The main bedroom has the most comfortable pillows and mattress we've ever slept on and we're thinking of trying to find the same models for our own home. The bathrooms in the main cabin are very nice and seemed to have been recently remodeled. The tub in the upstairs bathroom is very slippery (even with the mat) so be careful. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and there are plenty of bath and beach towels. It was extremely hot when we were there (95+ degrees in Ashland) and very windy so we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood should we have wanted to do so. The mini split seemed to have trouble keeping the main bedroom cool enough for our liking and the ceiling fan in the bedroom was very dusty (isn't everyone's though) so we didn't use it to avoid kicking up our allergies. We ended up moving the box fan in from the porch bedroom and that helped keep us cooler during the night. We didn't get a chance to use any of the water toys - Rave water trampoline, kayaks, paddleboat, or pontoon boat, but all looked to be in nice condition. We only stayed in the main cabin, but the beach house looked quite cute and appeared to sleep several. You'll want to make sure to try fishing off the dock around sunset or early in the day. We caught bluegill, rock bass, and small mouth bass from there. For a break from cooking, Iron River Pizza Parlor delivers to the cabin and is only a few miles away :-)

As always, a wonderful experience!

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, and it never disappoints. The owners are responsive and helpful, and the property is amazing. If we are lucky enough to stay again, we may look into renting a small rowboat for one person fishing, for when the awesome pontoon boat isn't needed. Note: There is a paddle boat and kayaks onsite that the younger folks used to fish in. Truly a fantastic home and host!

2020 Deer hunting

My grandparents bought this prime 'Gold Coast ' land in 1952. They spent the next several years building the two cabins and several outbuildings to spend their retirement. My family and I are 3rd generation owners and just recently acquired the property this year. We have spent the past 6 mos renovating and updating.

Why they chose this property

We are the 3rd generation to raise our children, create memories and instill a love of lake living. The property has a prime location - sun from late morning to sunset. Fabulous views. Privacy. Dock life must be experienced ... play all day, tan, swim, boating, fishing. Barbeque and eat dinner on the massive deck with lake views. At dusk, gather on the seawall and watch the sunsets. At night, listen to the loons, take a moon-light swim and watch the northern lights. Lake living at its finest.

What makes this property unique

The property has many benefits - Privacy, pines, birch, oak trees. Wind whispers through the pines. Dining areas with room for large group entertaining - large dining table inside, deck has picnic table and table and chairs, beach house has patio table. All day sun on the dock, new boardwalk and large dock with steps to the water. Rock seawall right on the water's edge. Beach house great for kids that want their own space. Hart Lake is the 'hart' of the chain of 7 lakes. It is spring fed, making the water unbelievably clear - can see the bottom even in the deep. Great swimming lake. Rave water trampoline, kayaks and paddle boat. Pontoon available to rent. In main cabin - spacious great room dining and kitchen for hosting large groups. Great traffic flow for entertaining. Oak floors, cedar walls, chandeliers, hickory top dining table . Stone gas fireplace, hearth for sitting. Window wall has window seating. Renovated bathroom with granite counter, two sinks, storage. Brand new full bath in basement with shower. Outside shower on beach house. New furniture and quality mattresses. It is definitely a summer home and winter retreat. As to the winters, the snowmobile trail system in Bayfield County is the best in the upper Midwest. The trails are accessed right from the back door and have miles of beautiful trails. At night you can watch the caravans of snowmobiles traveling the lake with restaurants and bars as their destinations. Riders come from all over the Midwest to enjoy the well-marked trail system. Don't miss the Fall season at the lake. It is beautiful! Reds, oranges, yellows and pine green skirt the lake views. Finest trails for 4-wheeling in Wisconsin.
