The walk to the lake was not close as written in description. Actual house was nice but not clean, cobwebs and edges of all floors were very dirty. The house was not equipped with a washer and dryer. I didn’t mine bring my own towels but then couldn’t wash anything. This could be a very nice place but things were broken, they need to fix items before it’s rented.

Hello Gail,
Thank you for leaving us a list of items to be replaced. We are making the necessary improvements. Although a washer and dry is unable to be installed, we'll get to work on the other items.
My family and I had a wonderful time staying there. We had plenty of room for eveyone to sleep with the amount of people we had. We also enjoyed the boat to take out to go fishing. I thought it was really awesome that there was a playroom for the kids. My kids also enjoyed the games they had in the closet. Overall it was a great place to enjoy away from home.
This trip started as a snowmobile escape but because of snow conditions, we brought Side x sides. We went exploring and had a nice stay.

Overall, wonderful stay at this lovely home in the woods. Despite two very hot and humid days, home had plenty fans to keep us comfortable. Was lovely having a pontoon boat for our use. Would definitely consider this property again should the area be chosen as our vacation destination!! We have rented in the Iron River several times over the years and have never been disappointed!!
This house can sleep 8 adults comfortably. Remember to bring extra blankets in the winter. The basement rooms are colder, some like sleeping in a colder room. Kitchen is open enough for 2 or 3 people to be working at a time. 2 full bathrooms were appreciated. We enjoyed walking on frozen Delta Lake or down the quiet road.

Could use some improvements
Air conditioning would be good.
Directions on using tv navigating dish tv is confusing. Quite damp downstairs. Need to do better with mouse control- found droppings in cabnet
The property management company did not let us know up front that we would not be able to drive our truck and trailer to the cabin. We got our truck stuck and our kids had to walk to the cabin on an unplowed road in the dark without any winter gear, as it was all packed in the truck and trailer. The driveway and deck were not plowed or shoveled. The homeowner was extremely nice when he showed up to check on the furnace, he was very apologetic, and I believe he was as upset as we were. In my opinion, it is not a great place to go in the winter if you have children or plan to keep your trailer near the home. (Pack everything in your vehicle or plan to shuttle your gear and supplies) There is a large parking area at the end of the road to park your trailer but we were not notified in advance of that and the fact that the snow removal wasn’t done before we arrived. The property has a great owner but the management company did not meet our expectations. This review would be more positive had we had a simple map and a simple list of instructions in advance.

Very nice lodge. A few minor heads ups below.
The cabin was fine and we enjoyed our stay. The pontoon was a real plus.
A few minor remarks that might deserve your attention.
The electrical outlet on wall behind couch near the screen door to deck does not work.
A place this nice should provide towels and wash cloths. The rent could go up quite a bit if guests didn’t have to bring so much.
Higher rent in return for sturdier, more comfortable deck chairs would also work.
The kitchen is poorly equipped with cook ware but the table settings are fine.
The coffee maker doesn’t function properly. Coffee water doesn’t drip through the basket and down into the pot fast enough to avoid overflowing.
We had a great time for July 4th, 2026. The location is very nice and surrounded by trees. The cabin could use a deep cleaning. Otherwise, all ratings would be excellent.
The cabin was spacious, very clean, and perfect for our group of 10 adults. I highly recommend it.

Overall a great spot and great cabin. the only feedback i got from our crew was not enough sheets on beds down stairs was cold. Maybe add a griddle for the kitchen to cook pancakes and French toast breakfast. using the stove creates to much heat and smoke setting off the smoke alarms it seemed. overall very comfy cabin and group enjoyed the stay and sledding as well. Thank you.

Overall excellent experience. Secluded in the woods, not on the lakefront but could hear the loons at night and in the morning. A short walk to the dock. Pontoon in good shape and easy to use. The lake is quite small but if you want more lake you will have more people!! Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms, space. A couple things needed work but left a note for owners and hope they will fix. Would totally rent this unit again!
Home was as expected, good location for our UTV riding weekend. Would stay here again.

Don't waste your money!
The property was filthy and has black mold in the basement bathroom. The smoke detector in one of the bedrooms was hanging by the electrical wires. The pontoon boat that was included in the rental was not safe to even step on and had black mold everywhere, including on the life vests and the gages did not even work. Did not even take it out, barely even started. This was a huge disappointment. My family and I only stayed in this house 17 hours of our 5 day vacation and that is only because we had driven 7 hours and had no where else to sleep for the night.
Very secluded quiet place. Short walk to the lake and we used the pontoon everyday. The loons were entertaining and we only took enough fish (blue gills and crappies) for one meal. The crappies are very nice I don't think many people take the time to get minnows.
The property was located just off the lake in the woods and that worked well for us as the dogs enjoyed the area. My kids are older so did not mind the isolation from all the other cabins. We left the property cleaner than we found it but only because i dusted the cob webs. Loved the location near to Iron River, with Amnicon Falls, Duluth and Madelaine island within an hour drive as that was where we visited.
