Absolutely loved the property! Everything was as described. Loved the view and the lake. Very peaceful yet close to Murphy and great food. The property manager was the best of anywhere we have stayed. She was genuinely interested in our plans for the trip to make sure the area offered what we were looking for. She also contacted us after we needed to leave for a family emergency to check on us. Above and beyond. We will definitely return!
This was a comfortable place for my wife and I to stay for a week. Beautiful views of the small lake from the great room windows. Lots of bird life to see from the deck.
We just got a CO for our house after 1 year of construction and needed a relaxing break from starting the move in process. The lake front property was exactly and more for what we had hoped to find, It has the most incredible views from the porch that spans the entire spectrum from sunrise to sunset. We also loved the wildlife on the lake. Plenty of shoreline to just walk around the lakeside, and lots of amenities which we will take greater advantage of on our next visit (we will be repeat visitors). The house was very accomodating with every feature we could have needed. Thanks for Phyllis and Peter for allowing us this visit.
Great place to stay, not too far from food or town. Very quiet and peaceful place to get some much needed R&R. Sunrise and sunsets are simply amazing looking out over the water. Great catch and release fishing. Can’t wait to go back for another visit.
This home was everything the owners promised. They communicated well and were very helpful.
We had a very nice experience and the lake is absolutely beautiful.
We will be asking to stay for a week in the future.
The weather may not have been the best but everything about the place was perfect for us for the weekend. We brought our two dogs and they loved everything about it, especially the large yard and water. It's location could not have been better
Very comfortable, enjoyed sightseeing to 2 wineries, Historical Museum, antique stores, biblical park, rail car ride & rafting the Ocoee. Well stocked kitchen, appliances all worked, very peaceful around the fire pit, eating on the porch, reading on the dock, taking the canoe & boat out on the lake. Would definitely stay here again. Phyllis & Pete are great hosts.
Great place to go with family. Really cute Lake! Property managers were great, communicated, and responded quickly. Decorated cute. Quiet and secluded. Closed to town. We played tourist for a weekend. Hope to come back!
We have stayed at many VRBO properties. This one ranks at the very top for cleanliness, condition and honest representation. It was so pleasant to just enjoy the view from the deck, watching and hearing the wildlife. (Loved the deep throated bullfrogs). We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. Really nice sitting and BBQ on the deck. Communication with owners was great.
I loved floating on the lake, I was a little weary at first to go down the dock ladder because it was a little slippery but I bought water shoes and then it was just fine. No problem for younger people but I’m a senior. Ate at Chop House, so delicious.
The lake view is incredible! Phyllis and Peter were super easy to work with. Property was just as advertised. We stayed for a month and felt right at home. Did I mention the the lake view!
The cabin was exactly as described – Peaceful, beautiful, and clean. Since we were staying in April, we were not able to enjoy swimming in the lake, but the water looked very clear. I would definitely stay here again, maybe when it is warmer, and we can enjoy swimming in the lake.
We loved our stay! Everything was clean and well kept. Can’t beat the location of you are looking for something quiet and tranquil. The property owners are amazing, even reaching out to make sure everything was good.
We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this cozy two bedroom house on the lake, w full kitchen, TV near the fireplace (it was cold that weekend) and plenty of wood nearby. There's a canoe and a row boat--we took a turn around the lake while the geese looked at us suspiciously. We brought in tasty bbq from the Rib House down the road, did a puzzle, sat in front of the fire, warmed up hot chocolate--It was a perfect get away in a beautiful location. We hope to come back in the spring when it's warmer and we can be outside on the deck enjoying the sunset. This is a great place for one or two couples to enjoy.
We had a wonderful time on the lake! Even thought it rained we still enjoyed it. House was well stocked and clean! The host ( Phyllis) was great. Very responsive.
We will definitely go back!

We were sold by VRBO's listing and didn't look any further. Upon arriving we were totally impressed by the cleanliness of both the property inside and outside. It was a great getaway for us after suffering the consequences of Hurricane Ian. We needed this! This is very cozy and quiet with beautiful views all around. We brought our mini Australian Shepherd on our getaway and she just loved it! The cottage has everything you could need. Just bring food, clothes and your toothbrush! We plan to return again soon. If you like quiet, fishing, swimming then you will be in heaven. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us.

Why they chose this property
This is a unique property... a cottage on a peninsula surrounded by water in three sides. it is the prettiest lot on the lake. Also known as "Blackberry Hill." One of our guests prepared this drone footage as a gift for us.
