A great, spacious property in an ideal location for the beach and market. We’ve stayed here quite a few times over the years and still keep coming back - which says it all really! The many bedrooms and bathrooms make it ideal for a family group. The pool is really large and outside area great for relaxing and al-fresco eating in the warmer weather. We would certainly go back again.

Large, perfectly situated and well-laid out house: very close to the beach, walking distance to the centre of Bois-Plage en Ré and set back from a quiet road. Unfortunately the pool cover does not close fully, which made it a safety risk for our small grandchildren. This was a real shame as it marred an otherwise perfect week's holiday.

This is our second stay in this property. We love the location as it is walking distance to the beach and market and being in the centre of the island it’s easy to cycle to other villages and beaches. The property itself is perfect for our family group and we spent many hours in and around the pool. The canopies provide welcome shade in what is otherwise a sun trap. The photos accurately capture the property’ interior and the kitchen is well equipped. Check in and out was smooth and efficient with good communication with Sylvie. I would be happy to recommend this property and come back again.

We had stayed here before and enjoyed it enough to return. The property is excellent, but needs a little maintenance. The swimming pool cover didn't completely cover the pool, the sunshade umbrella needs repair and a runner for a kitchen drawer had become loose.Instructions for the Television would have helped, but the only thing that may stop us returning is my health.

A wonderful holiday home

We had a great holiday. The house is very comfortable and well equipped in a great location. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and were thrilled that the children aged 3 and 5 made great progress in learning to swim. The wonderful sandy beach is within easy walking distance

Ideal property for large family groups or 2 families in a superb location close to beach and market. Disappointing that the outdoor lights were not working while we were there.

Ideal location, easy walking distance to the beach and village. The pool was fantastic. The outside space was great but we could have done with more shade, it’s nearly all in full sun all day. The house was well equipped and the layout good for sharing families. There were no plastic dinking cups, plates or bowls for kids which wasn’t ideal.

Excellent week at a superb location on Ile de Re

Family of 10 including grandparents and 4 grandchildren (7-10 years old) all thought this was a wonderful property. The location is magnificent, right close by the beach. Clean, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Sylvie was a great help getting us acquainted with all the features. Really liked the awnings and the sea breezes helped keep us cool. Just a wonderful time.

Great house for a bigger group, right at the beach

The house was bigger then expected, lot’s of privacy with a big terrace and pool area! It’s very suitable for more families (we stayed with 4, 3 and 2, which was perfect, could even fit 3 more kids). We’ve had a very nice stay, allthough the outside area could use some extra care (cleaning up and renovation, but most important: electricity that didn’t work 😳). Would highly recommand though because of the overall feeling and the location at the beach and close to town (and check out the beach bar)!

The property lists it has a BBQ, it does NOT!It has a mobile hotplate, not the same thing! This was very important to us and we would have looked for a different house if we had known. In the third bedroom there were 3 ant traps... a bit of a clue! for the last 3 days of our holiday my son and his girlfriend had to sleep on the sofas in the living room due to masses of Flying Ants firstly in the bathroom and then in the bedroom , ants crawling in the bed ..disgusting!!(we have photographic proof)I know the weather was unusually hot but it wouldn't take much to provide a fan for each bedroom- it was like sleeping in a sauna - everyone had wet pillows which cannot be hygienic at all! The guests after us would have had damp pillows..yuk!For a little cost , fans would have been a great comfort! On the last day 3 of us got extremely sore throats , we are convinced from the pool, the pump came on at 08.00 every day , Sylvie seemed to think it should have been on all day!All things considered we would probably not book this house again.

We have read your review of your stay on the Île de Ré in early July and are very surprised by the language used, which warrants a few responses: 1 – We removed the barbecue several years ago due to the state of dirt left behind by guests on their departure, which did not allow time for a thorough clean and scrub before the arrival of the next guests in the afternoon. Furthermore, the paving was regularly blackened and damaged by charcoal. 2 – The scorching temperatures experienced during your stay are difficult to manage; during a recent stay, tenants set up numerous fans (which merely circulate hot air), causing the electrical system to trip and rendering the fridge unusable until repairs were carried out. If there are any effective, simple and quick-to-implement measures available at your property to manage heatwaves, we’d be keen to hear about them. 3 – This heatwave undoubtedly explains the proliferation of insects; you could have informed Sylvie, who could have provided you with the necessary means to deal with the problem. 4 – The swimming pool undergoes a weekly technical inspection; it is these specialists who manage the filtration schedule, currently set from 8 am to 10 pm. We hope, however, that your stay brought you some enjoyment and wish you all the best for the future. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Lovely villa in a fantastic location

The villa is in a great location - so close to the beach, beach bar, and the village centre with an excellent daily market. The villa itself was perfect for our group of ten. All the bedrooms have their own patio doors opening onto either a small terrace or the main terrace and have plenty of storage. The bedrooms being split between two separate areas off the main living area works well for two families (master bedroom, double room and bunkroom in one group and a double bedroom and twin room in another). The kitchen is very well equipped, with plenty of storage and a nice big fridge freezer. The pool seemed bigger than it looks in the pictures and we spent many hours in it and around it! It was great to be able to keep the bikes and beach stuff in the secure ‘garage’ and there is plenty of parking on the street for cars. The only downside was that it could do with a bit of maintenance in places, but we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others or book again.

Wonderful location. A fabulous beach with big waves and warm water just outside the door. A daily market within walking distance. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful patio with flowering shrubs. The unheated pool was a bit cool and the pool cleaning robot wasn't working, but the kids loved playing in it on all the sunny days. The house was roomy and comfortable. There were a few maintenance issues that needed improvement, which we have notified the owners about. We were surprised to find there were no basic supplies for our use, like dish soap, a few laundry pods, toilet paper, toilet cleaner, or salt and pepper. They don't come in small quantities at the store, so we had to cart home a lot of extra stuff. But all in all, a good spot for a family vacation.
