The cottage is an upgraded and remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the upscale Northwood Pointe/Orchard Hills area of Irvine. This area is nestled up against the Loma Ridge Mountains. The mountain views provide a dramatic backdrop and you can even see the working avocado orchards in the foothills. Irvine is consistently ranked as one of the best cities in America to live in and almost always ranked as the safest City in the country! Irvine is one large, beautifully maintained, master planned community with parks, amenities and recreational opportunities galore!

15 minutes to Disney! 15 minutes to the beach! Easy access to everything Southern California has to offer!

At the cottage there will be no one above you or below you and no shared walls. This is a detached house with it's own, direct access garage. The home is professionally decorated, highly maintained and fully equipped for your stay. You will love the upscale touches like hard wood floors throughout and new marble floors in the bathrooms. The well stocked, upgraded kitchen features stainless steel appliances and new counter tops. The kitchen has direct access to a private patio with sitting area and gas BBQ grill. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful southern california weather! The master suite features a California king bed, big flat panel Smart TV and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a comfy Queen size bed and flat panel tv. The comfortable living room has a 55" Smart TV, fireplace and a Queen size sofa sleeper. The newly added front patio is very popular with our guests for morning coffee or evening drinks!

Of course there is free wifi in the cottage and a full size washer and dryer.

With easy access to area attractions and beaches, the cottage is great for SoCal vacations or temporary housing. There are playgrounds, a park, tennis center, basketball court, sand volleyball and a swimming pool all for you to enjoy within our Northwood Pointe development. We are close to the Hicks Canyon hike/bike/equestrian trail which runs along the border of the community. This makes the cottage ideal for guests that want active recreational opportunities. Our home is also excellent for long term stays like corporate relocations and long visits with family, etc.

This is a no smoking home which includes e-cigarettes and vapor products. No pets please. Must be 25 or older to rent. Sorry but per Irvine City code, minimum stay in all Irvine rental homes is 30 nights. Please inquire for details.

It is clear why this is a Premier Host. We completed the remainder of our stay at the "Cozy Irvine Cottage". We were there for 6 1/2 months (187 nights) and it was truly a home away from home for us. The property owners are great hosts and have created an environment where we as guests were able to settle in quickly, easily and then some. In the rare instance where we had a problem we couldn't resolve on our own, and this after having been there almost 6 months, our Host was ON it! and took care of it. We really appreciated that, when needed, our Host was readily available and responsive. Every step was taken to rectify the issue to ensure our comfort.This home is quaint, clean and organized. It was the perfect fit for what we needed at the time. We couldn't have asked for a better Host - which is one who provides a place where you don't have a need to reach out for anything, and in the rare case that you do, they are available and quick to assist. Wonderful place and location, great host, and enjoyed our stay there.

Perfect Cozy Cottage In Irvine CA

We booked a stay for a little over 6 months for 2 adults. It was immediately apparent why this is a "Premier Host" property. Due to the length of our stay, we had a couple questions before booking. Property owner, Alan, was accessible and responded quickly with detailed answers. The process was smooth from booking to check-in. Upon arrival, there was a very nice welcome gift and Intro information to help us settle in quickly. The home is thoughtfully planned, very clean, fully equipped (with extras) and well-organized. Much thought has gone into making guests feel comfortable and at home. We're about 4 months into our stay and I'd like to say, this home has everything we need. It is very cozy and the area is pretty quiet. Also, if any question arose, we were able to answer on our own without needing to reach out. They've made it so everything is relatively turnkey for guests. The attention to detail is evident. When it came time to decide if we wanted to continue on (in our case, we secured 6 months as 2 consecutive stays), it was an easy decision. This is a wonderful home that delivers perfectly what we need at this time. We are enjoying our stay here.

Wonderful Home

We could not have been happier with our stay. The house is in a wonderful location for all the things we wanted to do during our two month vacation in Southern California. It's a beautiful home, so very clean,spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything we could possibly need was there and it is an exceptionally well organized home! We loved both the front and back patio. We had coffee each morning on the front patio and usually had dinner outside on the back patio. With the beautiful weather these morning and evening moments were some of the best and most memorable times we spent together. We loved the Irvine area because of all the many restaurants and shopping nearby as well the proximity to the beautiful beaches and shopping in Newport and Laguna Beach. Alan is an exceptionally attentive and accessible owner. If we had a question or needed anything he responded immediately, which gave us great peace of mind.He really sets the standard for what all VRBO owners should be. We loved our experience so much we're hoping to return again next year!

Warm house

I enjoyed my stay at Alan house. It is really nice and comfortable one for small families. The property is newly remodeled. It has very well equipped kitchen and garage. Alan also offer many entertainment stuff such as smart tv, speedy internet, tv channels, beach and sport supplies. He also very good communicator. I really like this experience and I wish to do it again.

Great cottage in a lovely area

Great experience from the minute we checked in. The place was very clean and it looked just as advertised or even better. We loved using the barbecue especially. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. The area is lovely but you must have a car to access most places. The pool area is great too, usually very quiet! The owner was super responsive and great to talk to. Overall a 5 star experience!

Irvine cottage - fantastic

This property was fantastic. It is extremely well-maintained, well-located, and comfortable. We spent a wonderful three months in the property and were very pleased. The owners, Alan and Sandy, were great to work with, and they very quickly took care of some minor problems that came up - recall that we were there for three months.. My best recommendation is that we hope to stay there again in the future.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed at Alan’s house for 2 months and can absolutely recommend it. Checkin and out process are very easy, the house is very clean and well organized and near from shops, beaches and restaurants. The community pool and near playgrounds were an absolute bonus for us since we have a young toddler. Thanks to Alan, we had a fantastic time!

A wonderful home.

This home is absolutely beautiful. It located in a lovely neighborhood, great area to ride a bike, or go for walks. This home has everything you need to cook meals, and function like you are at home. The home is beautifully decorated, everything looks brand new. The owner provides bicycles to ride, tennis rackets, hula hoops and pool accessories to insure their guests have a wonderful time. The home’s manual provides addresses and directions to the market, restaurants, retail shopping centers and all local activities and theme parks too. I’ve rented several vacation homes in the past, but this home is truly my favorite. They’re are tv’s in each bedroom, plus one in the downstairs living area. Excellent internet and WiFi connection as well. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area very much, as we lounged on the beautiful and comfortable patio furniture. The two bedrooms had wonderful mattresses on the beds and a variety of pillows for individuals to choose from, once again to insure our comfort. The neighbors are very kind and friendly in this lovely, quiet neighborhood. The location is very convenient to dash about Orange County. The view of the saddleback mountains is just a beautiful extra bonus. I highly recommend this property. We just loved it and we’re not missing any comforts of home.

Very well equipped and comfortable home in a nice neighborhhod

We rented this home for two months (Feb. and March 2017), and enjoyed the clean, well organized, well equipped home in a safe, quiet , convenient neighborhood. It has everything needed to live comfortably, despite the small size. The eating area is small, but the outside patio helps for more seating if needed. The owner is very helpful and responsive. We would definitely hope to return for another visit n the future.

Peaceful cottage!

We were seeking a 2 week get-away to visit family, CDM, and Laguna. The location was perfect, the cottage itself was neat as a pin, and well appointed. Loved the proximity to all of the wonderful walking trails and parks. Friendly neighborhood and a warm & welcoming environment. Don't bother looking elsewhere, this is the spot!

Beautiful charming home in a great neighborhood and near everything we wanted to do. Loved it!!

Everything about renting this house went so seamlessly. The owners are great, and everything went seamlessly renting it. House is beautiful, clean, updated and feels very "homey". Loved the location - very central to freeways and getting to everywhere in Orange County and LA. We will definitely rent this beautiful home again next time we go back.

Wonderful home, quiet and convenient location

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely home, it was perfect for our family with two teenagers. Our daughter had the upstairs bedroom to herself and our son who liked to stay up late was able to have the downstairs and the sofa bed to himself. My husband is super tall so the California King bed in the master was was really nice to have. In fact, it was the only rental I could find with a Cal King. The kitchen is well stocked and very organized with everything labeled so you knew where to put things back. It was a bit chilly when we were there in December so the fireplace was wonderful to have. Quiet location and close to several shopping centers and restaurants.The owner, Alan, was very pleasant to work with and super quick to respond to any questions I had. I highly recommend this rental property!

Good Bang For The Buck !!

We stayed in this nice little cottage for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it very much. It has all the basics that you need such as WIFI, washer/dryer, Keurig machine, soaps/detergents, towels, cookware, plates ... etc ... and last but not least a very helpful landlord, Alan Luckcuck ! The location is so convenient as it's so close to grocery stores, shopping plazas, banks, gas station, restaurants and freeways. Above all, the place can acomodate 4 adults for the price of one decent hotel room. Thus, it's truly a good bang for your buck considering the included WIFI and a 1-car garage. We'll definitely stay in this place again next time we visit Irvine. Thanks Alan ! Edwin and Jane

Lovely House

This is a lovely property with everything you could need. The kitchen is full of brand new appliances, there's cable and wifi, the decor is tasteful and it's a very pleasant area. A very big thank you to Alan and Sandy for accomodating me. I'd say the only issue is how remote it is if you don't have a car. It's about a 20 minute walk to the local grocery store and about 6 miles from the Irvine Spectrum. Other than that, 9/10.

Ideal OC base

This was our first booking through VRBO and we were thrilled with our choice. We are a family of 4 - 2 kids aged 11 and 8 (girl and boy respectively) and 2 California starved 40 somethings. This was our first visit to California with our children - the first week was spent in hotels in Huntington Beach and San Diego but for our second week, we wanted a more permanent base. We were attracted by the pictures and description online and we weren't disappointed; the house provided for all our needs and was immaculately clean. There were many extra touches which were very welcome, the a/c was on when we arrived (perfect in view of the heat wave) there were sufficient household and paper products to keep us going for a few days as well as toiletries, in case of memory lapses on our part. The guidance relating to the property, amenities and the surrounding area and the maps were all spot on for accuracy. There are too many positive aspects to name but here are a few; we loved the quiet location, the pool area, ease of access to local attractions, retail areas and local restaurants - we especially likes Zov's for casual dining. A couple of minor (really minor) issues, we would have made more use of the pool if it had been a little closer and twin beds for the children would have saved some squabbling! Otherwise, we wouldn't hesitate to return nor to recommend to friends and family.

Home Away From Home

This is a wonderful getaway place! The house was immaculate and had a lot of homey touches such as beach towels, washer/dryer availability, extra soaps, shampoos, etc, outdoor furniture, cable, just to name a few. The neighborhood was quiet at night which made it relaxing after a day of adventure. You are close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The Spectrum was a fun place to shop and had a lot of restaurants to choose from. We were a short drive from the Angels baseball stadium and Laguna Beach was not far. I highly recommend this as a vacation home!

Great Stay

I enjoyed renting this very nice home for corporate housing January through June 7th 2015. The owner is quick to respond to any inquiry and very helpful. The location is great. I would highly recommend this home for vacation or corporate housing.

Our names are Alan & Sandy and we are the proud owners of the Cottage at Lanes End. We have two teenage daughters that were born in Georgia, but are definitely California girls now! We have had the opportunity to live all over the U.S., but our favorite place by far is Southern California and in particular, Irvine. We really enjoy the time we get to spend at the Cottage and we know you will too.

Why they chose this property

We originally moved to Irvine because of the great schools for our children. We stayed because of the fantastic weather, the close proximity to the ocean and the abundance of local activities and amenities that lead to a fun, active lifestyle.
