Wonderful property and host!

We loved everything about our stay. The property is beautiful, the gardens are spacious and the pool was fabulous! The pictures on the site look impressive but we found everything even better in reality. Claude was also a fabulous host. We couldn’t have been happier.

We stayed at this villa for 18 nights. We are a family of 2 adults, 16 year old son, 15 and 12 year old daughters.Things to be aware of:2 bedroom TVs are not smart.The villa was very dirty in places and clean in others. The fridge and freezer in the beach bar area were mouldy inside. The sand used in this area is builder's sand rather than play sand, in it we found nails. The fridges in the kitchen and utility room were both dirty, the counter tiles in the kitchen were sticky and the kick boards very dirty. Downstairs bedroom has been redone since photos were taken and don’t think it had been cleaned after the work was done. It took us a few hours to clean to a minimum standard. Upstairs shower caused a big leak from a pipe in the utility area, just above the main fuse box on first day. We contacted Claude straight away, took him a few days to respond and he advised that he couldn’t get a plumber so we had to wait for him to return about a week later. His repair did not work so we were unable to use the upstairs shower during our stay. Did receive compensation for this.Pool water very cold, probably due to having to be topped up daily.Had issues with water in the house being cold after the first few showers.Had issues with some electric sockets on occasion.We don’t like to leave a negative review without discussing with the host but we do not speak French and Claude does not speak English.

Séjour formidable chez Claude, toujours disponible. La propriété est magnifique, tant l'intérieur avec un salon incroyable et idéal pour famille que l'extérieur avec un très grand terrain, une belle piscine et des espaces de détente et de jeux (pétanque, molky,...). Idéalement située pour visiter la région (La Rochelle, Royan, ...)

Charmante villa

Charmante grande maison très bien équipée, on se croirait à la maison tout est mis à disposition pour passer un agréable séjour ! Plusieurs zones à l’extérieur très conviviales pour prendre apéro et repas (ombragree ou ensoleillée il y en a pr tout le monde). Très bien située pour visites La Rochelle, fort boyard, îles d’Aix, île de ré, Royan… commerces à proximité : saintes. Pb de fuite de piscine qui n’a pas pu être réglé pour notre arrivée dommage pr la température de l’eau car il fallait compléter tous les jours. Propriétaire disponible et très sympathique.

Relaxing and tranquil stay

Claude’s house is great - it’s clean, spacious, has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds! Claude was very responsive with communication and very relaxed and friendly :) The pool and garden are the highlight though - kids absolutely loved it. The area is very quiet - it’s essentially all rural farmland around. There is a lovely bakery walking distance from the house though. And an incredible chateaux with prehistoric caves a short drive (13 mins). Driving a bit further (50 mins to 1hr) is La Rochelle which is beautiful and so many great dining options. We were two families and stayed for 2 weeks and really enjoyed our stay! Thanks Claude :)

EXCELLENT SEJOUR

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. La maison est grande, joliment décorée avec des prestations de qualité. Les ados ont fortement apprécié la TV XXL et le home cinéma !!! Bonne literie. Très belle propriété. Notre séjour a été très agréable. Les propriétaires nous ont chaleureusement accueillis. Ils ont été charmants et disponibles Tout au long de notre séjour. La région est très sympa et le logement idéalement situé pour faire des visites(saintes La Rochelle Royan Île d Oleron Talemont en Gironde Cognac.. de beaux châteaux également à Crazannes et à La roche Courbon) Nous avons également bien profité de la piscine avec une météo au rendez vous. Nous y retournerons très certainement... Merci a Claude, le propriétaire, pour sa gentillesse !!!!

Ruhiger Urlaub

Das Grundstück ist toll, besonders für Hunde. Komplett eingezäunt und sehr groß. Aber auch wir genossen den Platz für zig Outdoor Spiele. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind perfekt. Ein Bäcker und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind in der Nähe, ein großer ca. 10 min mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, weist aber ein paar Macken auf. Eine Tür zu einem Schlafzimmer lässt sich nicht schließen, ebenso die Tür zum Badezimmer im ersten Stock. Das ist schon doof. Das Bad ist auch sehr klein und beengt und verfügt über keine funktionierende ablüftung. Der Pool ist riesig und klasse. Leider kam in den 2 Wochen keiner zur Wartung und Pflege/Kontrolle des Pools. Wir haben dann so gut es ging selber gehandelt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und es war entspannend. Bis auf die erwähnten Mankos, war es alles in allem ok.

Lovely characterful property, in a quiet rural location and not far from towns & beaches

Lovely property with large secure outside space, gas BBQ, and lovely pool. Spacious downstairs and good bedrooms. Had all the equipment we needed. The only negative was the level of cleanliness. Located in a quiet rural area, only 10 minutes walk to the village with boulangerie, pharmacy and mini market; 10 minutes drive to Saintes which has everything you need as well as a beautiful old town; 30 minutes drive to beaches. Overall we had a very lovely stay here - thank you!

Accueil chaleureux de Claude le propriétaire. Présentation du bien et de ses équipements sur le site Web 100% conforment avec ce que nous avons trouvé. Maison très agréable et pratique laissant beaucoup d'espaces libres de rangement aux locataires et ceci dans toutes les pièces. Tous les repas ont été pris à l'extérieur avec vue sur la piscine. Nous étions 4 adultes une ado et notre petite chienne chihuahua et nous avons passé 15 jours formidables avec un temps magnifique. Encore merci Claude.

Amazing property

Mercí Claude for letting us stay in your villa, we had a brilliant holiday, "The pool" children and adults loved the pool, perfect size for us all. Bbq and eating outside everyday, Bedrooms were all comfortable and we love the different themed rooms, Kitchen has a very handy pantry and is very well equipped too. Had our 2 dogs with us, the garden is huge and perfectly secure, The area is very quiet, local shops 5 minute drive and are closed between 12.30-3.30pm. Larger shops 10/15 minute drive, All locals very friendly. This was our first holiday in France and felt very welcome, will definitely be coming back again.
