Wohnung im alternativen Bahnhofsviertel von San Lorenzo
Großzügige Wohnung im Herzen Roms. Der HBF Termini ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen, das Colosseum in ca. 30 Minuten. Das Viertel San Lorenzo ist geprägt von etwas morbidem Charme älterer Mehrfamilienhäuser, die allesamt Graffitis zieren. Erinnerung an das Hamburger Schanzenviertel oder Berlin Kreuzberg.
Die Wohnung liegt ruhig in einem
Innenhof mit mehreren Häusern. Das Inventar ist zwar etwas spartanisch und in die Jahre gekommen, es hat aber an nichts gemangelt. Für einen Städtetrip als Unterkunft absolut geeignet.
Wer bereit ist ein bisschen zu Fuß zu gehen, kann auch auf die Metro verzichten. Wir haben diese jedenfalls in unseren vier Tagen vor Ort nicht von innen gesehen.
Parken kann man übrigens direkt vor dem Innenhof an der Straße. Ein Parkhaus wird man in allzu naher Umgebung vergeblich suchen. Wir waren mit einem relativ neuen Auto da, passiert ist nichts. Es ist aber sicher dennoch empfehlenswert das Auto weitestgehend auszuräumen.
Achtung: das Viertel San Lorenzo liegt in einer ZTL. Während unseres Besuchs im August war diese zwar außer Betrieb, das ist aber nicht immer der Fall. Unbedingt über die operierenden Zeiten informieren, da es sonst zurück zu Hause die böse und angeblich auch recht kostspielige Überraschung gibt.
Fazit: wir (junges Paar mit zehnmonatigem Baby) würden wiederkommen.
P. S.:das Wasser, das in ganz Rom aus den kleinen SPQR-Brunnen sprudelt, ist astreines Trinkwasser!
