Incredible Location

The location was unparalleled. It was close to the T, Target, grocery stores, and Boston Common. The house is quirky. I would recommend earplugs to sleep as the house is noisy but I would definitely stay here again.

Historic visit to Boston

Well located within walking distance of much of historic Boston. Also easy to catch a ride share or the T. Well stocked with utensils, plates, and glasses. We thought the spiral staircase to the bedroom level was neat. While not the most up to date, everything worked and kept us comfortable.

Good basic apartment in great location

Location is fantastic with easy access to everything. Communication with hosts was great. Expect city noise in one bedroom and water pipe noise in the other, but both got quieter late in the evening.

Spring Getaway

The location of the property was great. We were able to easily navigate our way around Boston due to the central location of the property. The apartment does need some updating but overall it was charming.Unfortunately we were awakened each night by the constant loud tapping/dripping noise in our bedroom. In the half bathroom there was printed instructions to not flush toilet paper. That seemed odd to all that stayed in the apartment. Other than those two things we did enjoy our stay.

Family Boston trip

Awesome location in Boston which was key as we didn't have a car. Very walkable to many areas of Boston, the park and the train station from the house. The house is a little outdated and the instructions for the AC were not correct, but once we figured it out it worked okay. We were there in wit was in the in the mid to upper 90s, so jtypical w

Perfect location

Very nice and unique place. Close to the Tip Tap Room for a quick night cap or dinner. Great eateries EVERYWHERE!!!! This was my first Vrbo experience, and my friends joining me were quite satified. Since there is a necessity for organic flushing only, a sitsbath attachment on the toilets would be nice.

The Best Location!

This VRBO truly is in the best location. Walkability is 100. Right by the Bowdoin blue line metro which gives you access to everywhere, but we mainly walked around Beacon Hill, Downtown, and the North End! There is also a Bounce luggage hold area just half a block away if you get in before check-in time, which is so convenient. Would totally stay again!

Perfect location

The location of this property is excellent. You don’t need a car and you can walk anywhere. We were able to add another night a month out and host was responsive to our messages. The stairs are narrow so you should plan on smaller bags. We loved our visit to Boston.

Nice location, to get your luggage to the bedroom is tricky, spiral stairscase

The only thing is if your a light sleeper you might have a problem the water pipes are very noisy. It’s an old building. For the check in process we were not informed that the look box was in a cabinet outside the door. I found it out of sheer luck and there are multiple lock boxes so we tried 3 and got luck.

Location was great

The location of the place was its best feature. We were able to drop off our luggage prior to check-in since we had an early flight. The spiral staircase was challenging at times because of its narrow stairs. We found it was easier to keep our suitcases upstairs and bring down clothes each day, a large suitcase would be very difficult to take it down the stairs. The place was clean but the towels were fewer than we needed.but was resolved. We are currently communicating with the owner with sending us the item we erroneously left there,

HBS Graduation

The property is old, but charming which is what you'd expect from a building built more than a hundred years ago. However, as I had read in some of the previous reviews, the property is in desperate need of some TLC. Some time and effort needs to be invested to make relatively minor cosmetic repairs.

Brilliant location and surprisingly spacious apartment

We stayed here for the first three nights of our New England trip and found it a very good base for exploring Boston. It was in a quiet location (a little unprepossessing on arrival as we couldn't actually see the small road as it was obscured by scaffolding due to the renovation of the buildings next door). We had a hire car and were not able to drive up to the building so had to unload and walk quite a way with small children dragging our suitcases. The parking was some way away, too. But other than that it was excellent! And beautifully cool with the air con on.

Can’t get a nights sleep

It’s not all bad. Nice kitchen. Interesting location. BUT Please take very seriously the mention of the noisy pipes at night. It’s beyond noisy, extremely loud and obnoxious and a bit like water torture. You will not get a good nights sleep. The property is down a very dark alley and the numbers are hard to read, making it hard to find at night. I’d recommend the owners let the beautiful brick wall shine and take down most of the cheap awful rummage sale art that obscures it. Nice restaurant recommendation.

Old pipes made stay hard

I so appreciated the location. Disposal didn’t work. Couldn’t do dishes. No paper down toilets which made going to the bathroom really uncomfortable.I was so happy to have normal toilets when we left. Left a sweater behind and owner never responded. Overall a 5 out of 10. Surprised owner didn’t respond.
