The host was very responsive, and communication was fast and accurate throughout our stay. The cabin is cozy and located in a quiet, private, secluded area, which was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, but the property could benefit from some TLC and routine maintenance.Several of the light bulbs above the dining table were either burned out or flickering. The trim along the bottom of one of the kitchen cabinets was loose and hanging. There were also noticeable stains on the carpet in the primary bedroom. As another guest previously mentioned, only one jet in the soaker tub was working. We didn't use the grill, but we did check it and found that it had not been cleaned before our arrival. The river access also needs improvement. There was no clearly marked entry point, and there were no steps or an easy way to get in and out of the water. While there is a picnic table by the river, additional seating would make the area much more inviting.Overall, this is a peaceful and comforting place to stay. With a few upgrades and better maintenance, it could be an exceptional getaway.
A great, secluded location at the end of a drive for privacy. Has all the amenities that you could need; however, the internet is quite slow. I had to do an audio-only business call as video would not work.
We had a great time swimming in the river down below the house! The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed.

Hi Deanne,
I'm so happy you enjoyed our River House and the lovely Little Tennessee River; and that you found everything you needed as represented. We hope you had time to relax on our big decks, too, as we think they are a very special feature all times of day!

We love everything about this place.. Sally is amazing… it’s a great location, out of town but yet very convenient to all the places we live to visit. We have shared our “Best kept secret” with many friends and family and they have stayed here or booked for upcoming visits.
House was amazing and just a perfect place for a great vacation. We couldnt have been in a better location. View of river was beautiful and loved the wrap around porch. Hope to go vack when warmer weather comes.
Thorough enjoyed our stay at the cabin which was just as pictured. Clean, comfortable, and great views from the the back deck overlooking the river. The location was convenient to Bryson City, Cherokee, Highlands, and Dillard. Host/contact responded quickly to request. Would definitely stay again if returning to the area.
We wanted a quiet place to go in the mountains and we were very happy with the home and location with the river and nice area we were able to sit and relax.
The location worked well for us. There were many things to see and do close by. The wrap around porch with all the different views was spectacular. Listening to the river was relaxing. The accommodations inside were comfortable and well equipped.

The house was very clean and well organized included everything you will need. Driveway a little steep but easier as the days went by. Could not get into the river as it was to muddy. We enjoyed the stay.
We visit the mountains yearly and this is likely our favorite Cabin. Everything you need the wrap around porch is amazing and you actually have access to the river from the property. Franklin is surrounded by mountains and it is something to see. We cant rate this stay high enough. We hope to come back in the future.

Overall, property was nice. The pictures of the outside of the house in the listing are pretty old compared to the look of the house now as well as the grounds. The wrap around deck is nice and having the gates front and back is good for the dogs.
The check in process was easy, the cabin itself was spotless upon arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cant wait to return. There was plenty of room for our family of three plus dog. The wrap around porch is awesome to sit and drink coffee in the mornings and then at night, sit and listen to the night sounds. Everyone was so helpful and friendly when it came to answering a few questions about where to take out our kayaks. Highly recommend this cabin!
Oh yes please get there before dark. But this Cabin oasis is such a quiet beautiful place ti be. Just about everything you need is there already. Just bring your essentials and you will have a great time. The wrap around porch wss amazing, it overlooks the river and tou have great views of the surrounding area was the best.
Great location. Quiet and secluded.
Internet is VERY slow. 2 MB/s. It would’ve been cool to know ahead of time to download movies and cartoons for the kids. Drove a minivan with no issues. Not hard to get there at all. Overall, very nice property.
We have stayed here before and did not have anything negative to say. This time was a little different. To start off, there was pet hair all over the top quilt on the bed in master bedroom requiring us to wash the quilt. It was so much hair it affected my allergies and a piece even got lodged in my ear. Also, the Jacuzzi tub jets weren't working properly. Only one jet was working. We also were not made aware beforehand that a wedding was taking place on the same weekend we were there to kayak and it restricted our access to the river.
