Sainte-Maxime is a commune in the Var department in the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The station borders the north shore of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Protected from the mistral by the wooded hills of the Maures massif, it opens to the south. The south of the town, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, is at an altitude close to zero.
