This beach house is located just 2 blocks from the beach and Rehoboth bay making it easy to enjoy a day soaking up the sun and playing in the waves, or paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. It features a large open plan kitchen, family room, and dining area. Two full size couches and loveseat are perfect for family movie night after an evening at the boardwalk. The outdoor living space is the gem of this house - it features a large screened in porch facing the sunset, and a huge 1,200 sq. ft. deck with hot tub, picnic table and charcoal grill! Enjoy burgers and hot dogs on the deck, happy hour on the screened in front porch or a late afternoon dip in the hot tub.

This house is close to everything you want on vacation. You can walk 2 blocks to the beach with your chairs and umbrellas in tow. You can walk half a mile to rent kayaks or paddle boards from East of Maui, play mini-golf at Nick's, get an ice cream cone from Vanderwendes or pick up a growler from Dewey Beach Beer Co.

Good family spot

Three generations under one roof for an off-season beach get-a-way. The location is great. Leave the car in the driveway and walk everywhere in Dewey. The house has space to spare for our group - 4 adults and 2 tweens. 2nd bathroom is a bit small - but manageable. Enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. There's an outdoor shower that would be useful in the summer. Communication with the owner was polite, professional and timely. Check in and out were seamless.

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beach!

This place was great. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, and just a very short walk to downtown and the beach. There was more than enough room, and provided everything you could need. The screened in porch was our favorite spot, but the openness of the living room with all the windows was also a great place to sit and enjoy a book. Large wrap around deck was also great! Frank (owner) was awesome to work with and answered any questions when we had them. We come to Dewey every year and will definitely consider renting this property again.

Second time staying at this house, and enjoyed it very much again. Great location, great property. Plenty of sleeping space, and plenty of living space. The screened in porch is perfect for late night chats, and the hot tub makes for great relaxation. Everything is within walking distance from this cute and quiet neighborhood. The house is chock full of all necessities - the kitchen is stocked with all accessories needed, the bookcase is full of books and games, the fireplace makes for a cozy evening. Overall, highly recommend this property!

5 star location, 3 star amenities

Frank's cottage was the ideal location for our girls weekend- 8 women and everyone was able to get their own bed, just a 5-7 minute walk from the beach. The hot tub, deck and clean outdoor shower made a beach weekend all that much better! However, we were very disappointed when we arrived to find that the house had not been cleaned in a while. There was sand in all of the beds, couches and futons- I get that its a beach house, but still. There was food in some of the beds, everything from full on crackers to crumbs. There was just a few drops of dish soap left, no paper towels to do any cleaning ourselves, and just half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Finally, though I now see that "linens" were not listed among the amenities provided by this property, it would have been nice to be reminded that we were walking into a rental with no sheets, no pillow cases, no towels, no hand towels, no bathmats, etc. Frank was kind enough to lend us his families sheets for the beds but that still left us using sandy beach towels after showers and getting water everywhere. All in all, the location can't be beat- in fact we would consider renting this cottage again. We're just hoping that the experience is a little cleaner next time.

Clean, convenient and comfortable!

Family of 8 enjoyed our time at Bill’s place! Bill was easy to contact, friendly and helpful. The house was clean and convenient to Dewey and Rehoboth beaches. My only suggestion (not a complaint) is to be prepared for the full size bed in its own room to be a little small for a couple to share, but it is doable. Loved the large hot tub and roomy screened in porch. Would definitely stay here again!

This house is in a quiet residential neighborhood just a very short walk to the beach .. felt very private even tho its surrounded by other houses .. the hot tub and location was the reason I chose it. Plenty of room for large families !

Great Beach Deck Dewey Vibe

The home is perfect for one or two families that want a real beach vibe and location for Dewey. The weather was cooler so we didn't get a chance to swim in the ocean but we still had a great time with the large porch and deck space with the hot tub. My son and teens enjoyed biking around the neighborhood and to Dewey beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

My family had a great vacation! The home is older but so beachy! We loved the quiet area that allowed a short walk to the beach and all restaurants! The home was perfect for us.

Excellent Location!

My husband and I rented the house with friends for the weekend and had a good experience overall. While the house is a little quirky, it’s close to bars and restaurants, had ample room for us, and had all the necessities. Additionally, Frank was very responsive whenever we had concerns. Unfortunately, the main reason we rented the house was for the hot tub and it didn’t work when we arrived. It wasn’t communicated in the listing that the hot tub wouldn’t be usable for spring renters. In addition, the WiFi was out the entire weekend (which wasn’t a big deal for us since we mostly played board games). All said, we would definitely consider renting the property again!

Visiting this house makes me want to come back and enjoy it in the summer as well! So many beautiful out door spaces to relax at. Frank was responsive and made the check in process easy. 5 star stay over all!

Perfect beach dpot

Has everything you need for beach vacay: screen front porch, long deck railing for drying towels, hot tub, washer/dryer, plenty of bed options! I also liked the extra shelving in the kitchen area for dry food storage. Location is about 4 blocks from the beach with crosswalks - no distance complaints from my 7 and 10 year olds! Would definitely return.

Perfect girls beach weekend

11 girlfriends and I had such a fun weekend away at franks Dewey house. It was big enough that we weren’t stepping all over each other but cozy enough we could all comfortably be in the common space together- and close enough to everything we had planned which was great. The house itself was more like a cottage to me, so your typical sand and whatnot was found but that’s part of the experience! :) The neighborhood was nice and quiet and the couple Uber’s we ordered throughout the weekend found the place just fine. Communication with Frank was always prompt and precise, he answers any questions you may have. We had never been to Dewey before but will for sure be going back! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect location!

Everything was great with this house. Communication with the owner was the best I ever had with renting a beach house. The house itself is a little outdated but has the beach feel and there is a hot tub!!! Plus it was only about a 10ish minute walk to the beach and a short drive to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Plus there is allowed 5 vehicle to park at the property! The property could use some landscaping and cleaning. Check-out was at 1000. I would of preferred a little later one. Overall it was worth every penny!

Great house to stay at between the beach/the town.

My friends and I had a great stay at Frank's property. He was very helpful and accommodating, it was a great house to use as a base between the beach and the town of Dewey. The only issue we had was the WiFi, it did not work for the duration of our time at the house. We did address the issue but it was not fixed during our stay, however it was just a minor issue and definitely did not make/break the trip. Overall we had a great time!

Perfect place for our girls weekend away!

Myself and eight friends stayed here for the weekend. The house was clean and cozy. We had everything we needed at the house. The location was excellent, we were walking distance from the beach and little shops as well as some bars and resturants. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Why they chose this property

We offer that uniquely beachy feel. We are 2 short blocks from the beach, we are also on a dead-end street, no through traffic, and very quiet. Our home is comfortable and has all of the modern conveniences. We have a large hot tub on our spacious deck.
