Beautifully restored riverside property.

The very spacious, well equipped riverside property is situated near the river beach and is very close to restaurants and shops.This is an excellent family escape to one of the most picturesque villages in France. Perfect for walking, cycling, swimming, Kayaking and other outdoor sports.

The village has all the basic shops needed and the area is suitable for exploring the Haut Languedoc. The river beach is only 1 minutes walk from the property and there are some stunning areas to swim and dive within short distance. There is a river beach opposite the property which is very safe for young children. For those wanting more excitement there is the opportunity in the summer months to kayak through some rapids and enjoy the gorgeous scenery, making time for picnics on the way! Alternatively you can head to a number of lovely sandy beaches within an hour of the village. The village of Roquebrun lies in the central south west of France, between the mountains and rugged terrain of the Haute Languedoc with the outstanding vineyards on many of the hill slopes producing some excellent wines. Situated on the hilly banks of the River Orb, Roquebrun is a picturesque place, with a medieval tower, old water mill, weir and bridge. It is a very pretty village with its quaint cobbled streets and old stone houses in the heart of the old village itself, and it is a perfect place to relax, to get away from the pressures of everyday life and allow yourself to enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this tranquil region. If you need big city resources though, you may want to head to Béziers, capital of the Hérault.

Family Réunion in the south of France

We had a great stay at Nigel‘s place in Roquebrun. The house was perfect for our family reunion (19 people, 3 generations). Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or gather. Plenty of things to do in the area. We‘d love to come back!

Sejour excellent à Roquebrun, dans ce superbe gite, tres spacieux et magnifiquement situé. Notre hote Nigel a ete parfait de l accueil jusqu'à notre depart. Si on revient dans région en groupe, c est sur que l on retournera dans ce logement.

Excellent séjour dans gîte spacieux

Nous avons passé les fêtes de fin d’année dans ce gîte. Nous étions 20 personnes (adultes, ado, enfants, bébé). La maison est très très spacieuse: séjour et cuisine. Chacun a sa salle de bains ou une très grande salle de bains à l’étage. La literie est bonne et c’est calme. Le rez-de-chaussée constitue un gîte indépendant et cela était parfait avec un bébé pour ne pas réveiller les autres. Nigel, un des propriétaires, était très à l’écoute et c’était agréable. Charlotte qui nous a reçu était très chaleureuse et nous a préparé un délicieux repas pour le 25 décembre. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour paisible et ressourçant! Nous recommandons cette adresse.

Grande maison avec superbe vue surplombant la rivière Orb

Grande maison avec de beaux volumes pour un séjour pour une grande famille. Maison à 3 niveaux réservable soit entièrement soit en 2 parties avec 2 entrées indépendantes, l'une au niveau zéro avec cuisine, salon, 3 chambres et 3 salles de bain. Une grande salle de jeux avec billard et espace pour faire du sport. 2 terrasses extérieures. Au niveau 1, grandes pièces à vivre dont cuisine idéale pour des ateliers cuisines à plusieurs, salles à manger pour partager les repas préparés et salon pour une séance de ciné ou de jeux de société. 2 grandes chambres (lits 2 personnes) avec leur salle de bain. Au niveau 2, 3 grandes chambres : 1 avec lit 2 pers. et 2 lits 1pers.; 1 avec lit2 pers et 1 avec 2 lits de 2 pers. Le plan de la maison disponible sur le site est fidèle à la description de la maison et est très utile pour le placement des personnes. L'équipement de la maison est très complet avec des ustensiles et matériel de bonne qualité et Nigel est très réactif pour répondre aux demandes. Proximité de commerces, restaurant et boulangerie dans le village mais prévoyez un peu de liquide car il n'y a pas de distributeur de billets. Possibilité de se garer assez facilement. Nous avons passé un bon séjour fin juillet 2021 avec baignades dans la rivière face à la maison (petite plage mais prévoyez des chaussures anti-cailloux!), descente de la rivière en canoë ou kayak, pédalo, superbes randos en montagne avec baignades dans des petits plans d'eau... Je recommande vraiment cette location dans cette belle région qui vaut le détour!

Grande maison, avec beaucoup d'espaces qui offre une vue sublime et dégagée sur l'Orb. Maison très confortable et adaptée pour une grande famille. Nigel, le propriétaire est très gentil, disponible et a été très à l'écoute durant notre séjour ! Le plus, cette maison offre une piscine naturelle car elle est située au pied de l'Orb. Une propriété Magnifique dans un cadre Magique

Nous avons passé un séjour Merveilleux à l'occasion des fêtes de fin d'Année. Les photos ne sont pas représentatives de l'espace impressionnant à notre disposition. La vue du salon et de la salle à manger est à couper le souffle. Nous étions un groupe d'amis avec des enfants et chacun a pu largement trouver sa place. Je remercie le propriétaire Nigel qui a été réactif à toutes les questions que je lui ai posé avant le séjour. L'accueil sur place a été vraiment très sympathique et à notre écoute.Nous avons trouvé ce logement très propre et également extrêmement bien équipé Je recommande à 200 pour 100!!!

We fell in love with this area when friends, who moved to Montpelier, introduced us nearly 10 years ago. We have since been looking for the ideal property which we could use and rent during other times.

This property and village has lots going for it during the Peak season withe lots of sports and evening entertainment. Or for those wanting an ideal tranquil getaway at other times of the year offers the perfect venue where the only sounds you will hear are the river and the neighbouring birds. The stunning scenery and surrounding villages offer the perfect place to relax and unwind.
