Stayed here several times, and plan to keep coming back. Such a beautiful place to just relax, or use as a base for so many wonderful day trips! Just the perfect amount of “rustic”
Everything was perfect. The kitchen had what we needed. WinFi worked fine. The manual we received had everything we needed. The lake was wonderful for swimming, kayaking and canoeing, it is exactly as described, a real Maine camp with many amenities.
Our 6th or 7 visit to this cabin and its always a great little getaway - rain or shine. Its clean and offers everything you need to have a nice relaxing stay. The water is beautiful - was 73 degrees! And Farmington is a great little town with local shops and restaurants.
Cozy warm cabin surrounded by nature, clean, peaceful and comfortable. Plenty of scenic areas to explore and hike around. Host was very nice and communicative. We had no issues whatsoever. Would love to return someday around the summertime and do more activities on the water. Highly recommended.
First trip to Maine and I wanted to experience a quaint rustic Maine Cabin. It was a perfect location with everything I needed including a quiet getaway.
Just recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend with my family. The location on the lake is great, you can't be any closer to the water which is what we wanted. Kids enjoyed catching fish from the dock and the views from the porch cant be beat.
Lost track how many times I’ve been back. This place is just perfect.

About the host
Hosted by Victor Oppenheimer
I've been spending summers on this property since it was originally purchased by my Mother and stepfather when I was a young teenager. After my mother passed away, I bought the property from my step father.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property from my step father because throughout my life I have found it to be a place of exceptional peace and beauty and also because each time that I leave the city to stay on the property I wonder afresh at its wondrous revivifying qualities.
What makes this property unique
I love the combination the property offers of immersion in nature and healthy exercise as well as providing a personal retreat with easy access to the many cultural activities offered in the nearby college town of Farmington.
