Beautiful property to snowmobile from. Stu was a great host via text and was gracious to let us check in early and let us park the trailer on the property while we got one last ride in. BTW, the parking area is MASSIVE! The house itself was very clean and open with fantastic views of Mt Abraham and beyond. I highly recommend staying there.

Fantastic Property

We had a great time staying at this property. The house was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The location was great with access to the best of Franklin County. The view of the mountains was terrific. We can't recommend this property highly enough. We hope to make it back!

The property is newly renovated, spacious and very-well equipped with any kitchen utensil you might need. The beds are comfortable. We stayed there for a ski trip to Sugarloaf. The ski area is about 30 minute drive from the house. We loved that there is a grocery store and restaurant options nearby. We will be back again.

Absolutely Perfect

This was the perfect rental for our stay. We came to the Kingfield/Strong area for a family retirement celebration, and this home could not have worked out better. Aside from being a five minute down the road from my family’s home, the house was absolutely gorgeous. Completely newly renovated, the home had everything you could want in a rental property. Our hosts were accessible and attentive, kind and very friendly, but not intrusive. We appreciated them as great hosts! The home has great outside lighting for dark late night returns, comfortable, beautiful furnishings, enough bedrooms and beds for our family with space to spare. All of the kitchen gadgets and accessories we could need, multiple outside deck spaces for scenic breakfast, quiet solitude, and the BEST stargazing anyone could imagine. The picture window in the main bedroom was perfect for stargazing from indoors if you don’t want any buggy company, (But the bugs weren’t bad at all anyway) and the daytime view was simply unreal! Speaking of the scenery - From every side, deck, and window in this house, the view was magnificent. Mountains behind, swaying trees all around, it was a magical Maine weekend. And, the property is set back down a long enough driveway that you feel secluded and private, no road noise, and like you are in a private Maine mountain hideaway. Every detail about this property was perfect. We will be renting this property again and again.

#2

I came back for a second visit - everything as described and ready on short notice.I was there during 'extreme heat' warnings and the AC easily kept the house cool and comfortable. I saw a few foxes out by the pond again - thumbs up.

Great.

Great place - there is a very extensive welcome book all about the house and area. Book had a (much appreciated) Truck/ATV route to a hiking trailhead - early June 2025 it's passable in a non-lifted Nissan Frontier, but I found tight sections, steep sections, loose rocks, soft mud, a couple of washouts - dinged a skid plate on a submerged rock - all packed into about 4 miles. I think the only convenient place to turn around is the trailhead, but it's an enjoyable piece of driving if you're into it. The view from the kitchen is great, there was a group of three or foxes hanging out by the pond while I was there. Hosts went out of their way to move some property maintenance around so I could have a quiet zoom call, and I thought that was above and beyond considerate of them. I'd definitely go back.
