Space is clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It was an easy walk to all the restaurants, sights and beach, yet off the main streets so not a lot of noise. I wish I had had warning of the steep flight of stairs to get into apartment, it was tricky, but luckily we travel light.

Comfortable accommodations in a great location near Castle Hill and the daily market. Nice to have a laundry washing machine in the unit. The wi-fi was not working, but the host was responsive and found a solution within a couple of hours.

Our initial impressions were definitely mixed and it began with our difficulty in locating the actual door and the right key box. The host really ought to take a photo of the actual exterior door in the Ruelle as there are many unmarked entrances and key boxes galore to confuse matters. Only after a chance encounter with a neighboring property owner were we able to locate the ochre facade from other similarly colored ones! We open the green door and face an ancient uneven stone staircase, the step height and width of the treads is random; thank goodness for the metal handrail affixed to the walls. But there ‘s no indication of what floor and which door our key is to open. We ascend, try our key into another vacationers door, they open their door and direct us back down the ancient, extremely steep stairs with luggage. This is difficult to say the least! The host should have clearly indicated which interior door would open to our rental unit. But, once we found the door, on the first floor, ie, one flight up for Americans, we liked our apartment very much. It’s like the photos: open, well equipped, clean, bright and comfortable. Plenty of hanging and shelf storage too. Smallish bathroom but a great shower and plenty of towels too. The king bed was very comfortable, the large square pillows aren’t for sleeping and we only found the two sleeping pillows the night before we left; they’re on the very top shelf in the closet. The washing machine worked very well.

Your feedback is surprising because you are the only person in the years that this property has been available for short-term rental to have made such comments, which proves that you did not read the detailed information sent to our guests prior to their arrival. Address, alley, location with a map, alley number, photos of the facade and the door, location of the key box—it all seems to have come as a surprise to you, even though everything is explained in detail and generally works very well. We certainly regret this unfortunate experience. You’re overlooking the fact that, when you needed additional information, we immediately assisted you via email and by visiting you on-site. We do, however, thank you for highlighting the positive aspects of your stay and the comfort of the apartment we provided.

great apartment very close to sea front and in the old part of town, so quiet lovely rooms.

quaint, clean comfortable close to all transport and centre of town for bars restaurants- great for couples.

great apartment in a quiet central location of old nice

the property has everything you need - very tidy with old charm. near local amenities and bars and resturants - great for a weekend or even a couple of weeks - ideal for two people

Lovely apartment in perfect old town location

Loved the apartment, exactly as described. Full of charm and in a perfect quiet location just a minute from the hustle and bustle of old town and a short walk to all the wonderful restaurants and markets in Cours Saleya. Only 5 mins walk to tram stop to explore more of the wonderful city and region. Great communication and information from Joel. Can't wait to visit again!

Perfect stay

Couldn’t be happier with our stay in Nice! Exceeded our expectations with location, size and functionality. Only comments I have - when finding the room the numbers “1, 2, 3, 4” don’t match up perfectly - keep walking down the street to find the right door!And the bed is very firm. We struggled with it a little, but others may enjoy!

Very nice cozy place close to restaurants, beach, Flea market. It has everything you need to stay, sleep, and if you prefer to cook a meal. The furniture a little bit outdated and very basic (mostly the Ikea items). Be aware of narrow steep stairs to this second floor appartement. Overall, we had a very nice stay in this place and would stay again.

Fantastic time

The property was without fault and we had all the provision for a satisfactory holiday that we could wish for ,but as the weather was so hot the provision of an air condition unit would be a distinct advantage rather than just a fan . The décor was delightful and would love to return next year .Nice is a fantastic City with beautiful people and this apartment was the perfect base for us

Close to everything

The apartment has an authentic French feel. Quite roomy and private. But most of all close to everything. The promenade is just a few minutes away as are restaurants and other services if you want to cook with the great facilities in the apartment. The best flee market in southern France is around the corner too, on Mondays. Stay as long as you can. Altogether a wonderful stay. Thanks Joel

Outstanding Location

The apartment is situated on a narrow 'ruelle', elevated from the main part of the old town. And this is why it is perfect; the street is so narrow and so steep that there are no vehicles of any kind passing by, nor any commerce. It is a little oasis, perfectly quiet. A hundred metres away though and you have an outstanding range of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, and of course the Promenade des Anglais, probably less than five minutes away, along with the Marche aux Fleurs. The flat is perfect for a solo traveller or a couple, the bed is huge. Everything you would need is there in terms of cooking facilities, although you need a little experience perhaps in using an induction hob! [It's fine, it was just new to me!] There's a lovely view of a little garden opposite and it's great to sit and have a drink by the open window. I genuinely managed to chill out here, and all of the many attractions are close at hand. Perfect.

Great little apartment in wonderful Nice

Myself and my husband spent 9 days in Nice. Joel's apartment in the Old Town was relatively easy to find once we'd got our bearings in the myriad of little streets. Self check in was easy! The apartment had everything we could have needed if we'd wanted to cook and eat in - but we didn't! No air conditioning meant it got pretty hot inside during the day but the portable fans ensured we slept comfortably. The shower space is tiny and it's impossible to avoid hitting off the shower curtain! Plenty of lovely white towels! A bottle of water and a cold beer in the fridge to welcome us! A major downside is the number of steps in the street leading up to the apartment and also the very steep steps inside the building. Exhausting but we now have calves of steel! Nice is wonderful and we'd have loved to stay on longer.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in Nizza. Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, in der Altstadt aber trotzdem ruhig. Sehr nah zum Strand und allem was man braucht. Schnelle und komplikationslose Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber und genaue Beschreibungen vorab wie man in die Wohnung kommt und wie man sie am besten findet. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, Öl ist keines vor Ort. Das Bett sehr bequem und der Wohnraum auch sehr einladend.Wir würden es weiterempfehlen und wiederkommen.

Séjour au calme dans la vieille ville de Nice

L'appartement est extrêmement bien décoré et bien conçu. Il est au coeur de la magnifique ville de Nice, riche d'un patrimoine culturel,nombreux musées et églises et bien sûr de paysages enchanteurs. Notre hôte ,Joel , est très réactif à nos demandes .Si nous revenons à Nice , c'est ici que nous nous arrêterons sans hésitation.

L’appartement est situé en plein cœur du secteur touristique de la vieille ville de Nice. L’escalier pour y monter est escarpé et la lumière était en panne pendant notre séjour ce qui a rendu l’accès difficile. L’appartement est somme toute bien décoré mais la salle de bain mérite d’être retapée de même que le plancher qui compte de nombreuses tuiles brisées. On a tout de même fait un séjour agréable.

Avis mitigé

Au coeur de la vielle ville, quartier très touristique. Les hôtes sont à l'écoute et répondent rapidement. L'appartement est un peu sombre, le lit bien grand et confortable. Nous avons fait quelques suggestions pour mieux équiper la cuisine et faire sécher le linge. Suite à un incident de propreté à notre entrée, l'hôte nous a offert une compensation bien appréciée.

Tolle Wohnung in der Altstadt, aber ruhig. Wir habe nichts vom Trubel in der Stadt mitbekommen waren aber durch die Super Lage mit ein paar Schritten mittendrin.
