Fantastic stay

Beautiful views, comfortable accommodation and a very helpful, friendly host who rescued us when we got lost on arrival. Full of advice and recommendations for our stay, our host was charming. Location is excellent and while we didn't go into the pool (too cold in early May) it looked inviting.

Porto on the Duoro

My husband and I spent a week in one of the rental homes at Tapada De Sao Domingos. The property is huge and the rentals are separate and private, each with a pool, AC, and modern and comfortable interiors. We were close to the city of Porto, as well as right above the river, with spectacular views. Sebastiao was a very helpful host and made many suggestions for dining, cruising, and sightseeing. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Rural Property Conveniently Located Near Porto

The house and property are more lovely than advertised and well appointed in every way to make our stay extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds comfortable, appliances in excellent condition....everything we needed for our stay away from home. The natural water pool was beautiful and surrounded by a very nicely furnished patio for us to enjoy the views of the countryside and nearby town. Sebastiao's warm welcome and attention to detail will never be forgotten. He greeted us with a tasty basket filled with fruits, bread, wine and other goodies that allowed us not to worry with having to rush to the store. After sharing important details about the house, he provided a personal tour of the surrounding community to familiarize us with the supermarkets, gas station, favorite pastry shop, restaurants, and more. Sebastiao was always readily available for questions, recommendations for things to see and do during our stay and even assistance with making reservations if needed. We can't say how much we enjoyed our stay on this beautiful well kept 8 hectare property with fruit and olive trees, herb and flower gardens, and lagoon. Equally, we enjoyed the short drive to Porto and Gaia with its rich history, bustling streets, relaxed nature of the river promenade and, of course the port caves. Once again our visit in this amazing place confirmed that wonderful people and places exist everywhere. We just need to explore and enjoy! We'll be back!

Lovely family holiday

My family and I have just returned from an 8 night stay at Sebastiao’s property and we have had a lovely time! Sebastiao is a fantastically warm host who is always available to help in any way he can. The property was located in an ideal location for us with two kids. We could get into the centre of Porto within 30 minutes but also had the tranquility of the country. The property is right next to the river which has several small beach areas and restaurants which we enjoyed exploring but having such a lovely pool at the property and plenty of space for the kids to run around meant we spent a lot of time there and could enjoy our holiday at a slower less intense pace. Could not recommend this property enough and would happily go back!

Hidden Gem near Porto

One of our favorite properties in Europe. It’s a lake view chateau with absolute privacy and million dollar views. The swimming pool and grounds were stunning and very comfortable accommodations. Sebastian was a perfect host.

Ein kleines Paradies auf Erden

Ein ganz tolles Häuschen auf einem ehemaligen Weingut, mit riesigem Pool. Ruhe pur mit Vogelgezwitscher, frische Orangen vom Baum zum Selbstpflücken - was will man mehr. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt voll genossen, besonders wenn man nach einem Ausflug von Porto oder von den Ständen am Nachmittag in dieses einmalige ruhige Refugium zurückkam. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Sebastio und seine Söhne sind super nett und haben uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Vielen Dank nochmal.

Fantastic!

We could not have picked a better setting for our final destination on our Portugal trip. The terraced hills, view of the river, orange trees, and our own pool to relax in. Our host Sebastiao, who lives on the hill above the property, was quick to respond when we had questions, offered local suggestions and drove us to the grocery store upon our arrival. His energy and enthusiasm for his working farm was contagious. The blend of rustic and modern worked well in this gated setting. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the kitchen offered the amenities needed. Taxi’s and Uber, which Sebastiao will help with, are available if you don’t have a car or need to get to the airport. Gondomar and Porto have so much to offer and are a quick trip from the property. The food in Porto was the best we had during our three week trip. Should we return to Portugal this property will be the first on our list.

Zeer mooie villa, schoon, volledig en goede bedden. Met in de nabije omgeving veel te zien. Cultuur, leuke stadjes en zee binnen 20 min afstand.
