Magnificent estate with swimming pool at only 20 min from Sotogrande

Luxury manor house in open nature and at only 20 km. from Sotogrande. With capacity for up to 22 guests and a large swimming pool. The ideal location for retreats, family reunions, weddings and other celebrations.

The spectacular mansion, exquitely decorated with antiques and art works, is constructed around a lovely patio. It has a very ample living room with different sitting areas, a dining room seating 16, a modern and fully equiped kitchen, and 9 double bedrooms of which 7 have their own ensuite bathroom.

In every room you will find 100% cotton sheets and towels, natural soaps, natural light and a view. Seven of the rooms have air conditioning.

A large covered terrace with comfortable garden furniture offers breathtaking views of the swimming pool and the country side beyond.

The swimming is lined with sustainable deck chairs, a shaded chill out area and a stone sculpture. There are 3 barbecues available for our guests. The garden also has a badminton court, a crocket game and a swing.

The house stands on a private property of 400 hectares with an olive grove, a vegetable garden and a lake. Take a longer walk and discover the hilltop artwork, the stables, derelict house, an abundance of animals native to the area and see the birds of prey up close.

Our guests can hire all kinds of services, from a private chef to yoga classes, massages, and organized walks, bike or horse rides.

Andalusian Paradise

A truly magical location in the andalusian countryside. Very extensive grounds, very comfortable accommodation, great amenities, ideal for a big group, cant wait to come back. Was perfect for celebration of our mothers 90th birthday.

Spectacular property in the hills

This very spacious property is set in some amazing scenery and has spectacular sunsets. The BBQ area and terrace are perfect for watching the sun setting over the hills.The nearby town of Jimena de la Frontera has everything you might need, Eroski supermarket is well stocked with fresh bread. The town has a number of restaurants and bars.Sotogrande is 30 mins drive away. The marina is pretty but full of well-heeled expats and rudely expensive. Go a few minutes up the coast to Playa Guadiaro. Much nicer vibe.The house itself is vast. The kitchen is well equipped with two wine fridges, plenty fridge/freezer space and has two washing machines and dryers for long stays.It has a barista style coffee machine that uses ground coffee. It was fiddly to get working. A capsule type coffee machine would be a good addition for those without any patience for their coffee in the morning! Nice bedrooms and bathrooms with comfortable beds and plenty hot water!Artwork on the walls could do with updating Would recommend trimming some vegetation around the BBQ area to open up the view from the terrace - it's missing out on the best view! The dining room chairs could do with updating, not very comfortable for long meals at the table.The house is quite remote, but when you're a large crowd there's no need to go anywhere!Music system works great!All in all, it's a wonderful space to gather friends and family and we loved every minute.Will definitely be back!

Everything was super! Only thing, it was probably a bit longer drive to Sotagrande than 20 min. However, beautiful scenery, so it was ok.

Stay put, no need to go out.

This is a stunning large Spanish farm house, with all the mod cons and some wonderful furnishings and décor. Sleeps masses, is beautifully kept both inside and out. We were 16 Grandparents, children and Grand children. The Gardens are superb and there is a well kept and beautiful swimming pool. Wonderful views the whole way around, in the middle of no where. Whats not to like. Great host and gardener on site. Big thumbs up, we loved it.

Magical Villa

We had a great stay here. I travel a lot with my work colleagues & we normally stay in Villas for the last 10 years. This perhaps was the best place we ever stayed. Secluded, tranquil, great facilities & easy process. Viveca & the team were very helpful. Check in process was so easy with us arriving & the Villa ready for us & no boring paperwork or anything else needed. It was having a piece on Andalusia just for ourselves.

Autumn family gathering in Andalucian county estate house

The property has lots of character and was situated in a lovely rural setting in the Andalucia hills and with lovely well kept grounds and a super large swimming pool. It had good accommodation for a large family or group and the kitchen was spacious and very well equipped. Some of the internal decor was a bit tired but then suited for young children allowing less fear of spoiling furnishings etc. Heating for the pool would be a bonus for the autumn/winter months. Wasps were rather prevalent under the fruiting palm tree near the pool during our end of October stay. Over all a lovely family holiday away from the crowds.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Haus. Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage, das Haus selbst hat einen individuellen Landhauscharakter und einen schönen Garten. Außerdem gibt es eine semi-professionelle Küche.Die Betreuung durch die Agentur war auch sehr gut.

Wunderschöner Kurztrip

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser traumhaften Finca im andalusischen Stil war einfach toll. Alles war perfekt. Eine traumhafte Anlage drum herum. Ruhig gelegen. Wir können diese Finca von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

Séjour très agréable

Villa spacieuse, de belles prestations. Vue splendide et jardin/piscine au top. Tout est fonctionnel et rien ne manque. Attention, la villa est isolée, à plus de 15 minutes du premier village, ce qui n’est pas clairement indiqué sur l’annonce. Une fois qu’on le sait, pas de problème.

Piękny, stary dom w spektakularnym otoczeniu

Piękny, rozległy, komfortowy dom dla dużej grupy. Doskonale wyposażona kuchnia. Wspaniały ogród ze starodrzewem. Codziennie czyszczony basem. Spektakularne widoki na otaczające posiadłość wzgórza. Cisza i spokój przerywane jedynie śpiewem ptaków. Doskonały i bardzo miły kontakt z menedżerką i ekipą dbającą o posiadłość. Chcielibyśmy wrócić!

Confort y sosiego

El alojamiento destaca por la amplitud de sus instalaciones, la limpieza y ornamentación de los espacios ,la disponibilidad de servicios necesarios, baños privados en las habitaciones y una zona ajardinada extensa, muy bien cuidada y preciosista. La ubicación es aislada, el núcleo urbano más cercano está a quince minutos en coche.

Werkelijk fantastische locatie!

De verwachtingen waren op basis van de omschrijving en de foto's al hoog, maar bij aankomst werden deze verwachtingen nog meer overtroffen. De tuin lag er prachtig mee, mooi onderhouden en goed verzorgd. Ook het verblijf zelf is heel sfeervol en netjes. Op de diverse buitenterrassen kan je tot laat gezellig zitten; ook met een grotere groep. Met de moderne keuken is het goed mogelijk om voor een grote groep eten te verzorgen. Het contact met de beheerders verliep heel soepel en zij hebben ons ontzettend geholpen met tips in de buurt (supermarkt die boodschappen alvast klaar heeft staan, privé kok bij het huis, flamingo dans workshop bij het huis, en verschillende leuke activiteiten in de regio. Wij hebben met onze collega's een fantastische week gehad waar we nog lang van zullen nagenieten. Hartelijk dank Viveca en jullie team!

Secluded paradise for an unforgettable family wedding

We had an absolutely glorious few days at Retiro Sambana for a family wedding (14 people total). If you want to escape to a stunning, sprawling paradise in the hills with incredible views and a real old world, rustic feel, then this is the place for you. All in all, very good value, but one or two small things demonstrated why it was a bit less expensive than similar properties in the region. The pros: the house is gorgeous with so many beautiful features and touches, very tastefully and eclectically decorated albeit not recently! (though that's certainly part of the charm) The kitchen is fabulous - seems like it was fitted out to be a catering style kitchen, loads of fridge space, excellent appliances for the most part - we cooked in a couple of nights and had recommended caterers in for the wedding day, who were amazing. The gardens, outdoor dining areas and pool area are incredible. Immaculately kept, with some of the best views I've ever seen of the surrounding countryside. The communicate with the staff who were very helpful was really good too, and they also recommended the caterers who were top notch. The sound system extending to the outside area was a real thrill too for a special celebration! The log fire in the main living room was amazing to gather around on the chilly evenings (it was February), and we the firewood was topped up every day by Miguel. The cons: the house is as I mentioned a little bit rustic, and small bit rough around the edges in terms of the decor and furniture. Some of the delph, crockery and silverware wasn't all that clean, but there is a lot of it so it wasn't really too much of an issue. We had an issue with the electricity in part of the house one of the days, but Miguel came and restored it. He lives on the grounds so is usually not far away to come and see to any issues, which was great. We also found that at times there was not a huge amount of hot water (after a couple of showers, it wasn't that hot). We flagged it with Fenton and Miguel and they came back to us very promptly. However unfortunately there was an issue with a potential leak somewhere, so that wasn't ideal. I understand it's a big old house and these sorts of issues are probably par for the course. The charm and old world beauty of the place means that all in all the pros outweighed the cons and I would recommend Retiro Sambana as a really good value stay for a large crowd. Thanks for having us. We will never forget our trip

What an amazing place for a group of young famillies

Stunning house and fantastic hosts

We couldn’t ask for more. There were 16 of us. Fenton’s hospitality was as warm as it gets and his food was excellent. The villa was great - lots of big comfortable beds and nice period decor. Garden perfectly maintained, pool and surrounding area perfect for our needs. Excellent value too. 10/10 all round - would recommend to all.
