This condo was very clean, and spacious. Having two bathrooms made it so easy for everyone to get ready for dinner after a great day at the beach! It was perfect for our family vacation with excellent beach side service every day during our stay. The pool and the pickle ball courts are great! It's located close to everything you could want to do in Destin! Highly recommend renting this unit!

Love HSRC.. my beach home!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming here every year for 25+ years. We love the location, beautiful condos, beautiful beach and umbrella / chair set up for each condo. The best seafood restaurants are all so close. One of our favorite things is walking on the beach to the rock point where we see blue heron, pelicans, sometimes sea turtles swimming around the rocks and the occasional manatee!

Long Weekend Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The facilities were very dated and didn't include the basics that most rental condo's include. Bedding (including mattresses) were from the 80's. Seasoned beach goer who was left unimpressed with condo.

Still a great location but the beach rules need reviewing!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit from the UK and still love the location, but the large groups on the beach with no restriction on music volume led to a group of drunks playing loud music all day. There were 3 weddings whilst we were there and maybe this is what is behind the 'party atmosphere'. Our previous visit was quiet and idyllic, so now would question whether to return. The apartment was spotless and well fitted out, but the kitchen and bathrooms are looking a little 'tired'.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 Nov, 2024
Kevin, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the condo's cleanliness and amenities. We appreciate your feedback regarding the kitchen and bathroom areas and will share your comments with the unit's owner to consider updates that enhance the guest experience. We're sorry to hear that your beach experience did not meet expectations this time. While we strive to maintain a relaxing atmosphere, we understand how large gatherings and noise can impact your stay. We value your loyalty and hope we can provide the peaceful getaway you loved during your first visit on a future stay. Best regards, Holiday Surf & Racquet Club Guest Services Team

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Destin has stunning beaches. The condo was clean and comfortable. We were not a fan of the long and winding walk to the room outside the building. It was scary after dark with all the hiding places along the way. Beautiful views. Hot afternoon sun on the patio. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of nearby restaurants but be prepared, the prices are HIGH but the food is good. We enjoyed the McGuires Irish Pub the most. The pool was beautiful and well maintained.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was clean and had an excellent view! The staff were all great! Cons:Needs new mattresses, you have to take your own garbage out which is in the parking lot and a long way from your room, could only get 1 of the 3 TVs to work..I didn't ask for help but I think in this day the TVs should just be smart TVs and drop the cable. Overall I would recommend to stay here but just be prepared to walk alot to get anywhere.

First time at Deatin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My first visit to Destin. I understood that Holiday Surf had 3 different standards of rooms. I saw pictures before I rented and it was stated as #2 premium. It is in definite need of an upgrade. Friends of ours were also in a premium room, but it was totally updated. I asked the staff and they said there was just 5 or 6 standard rooms and maybe our friends room had not been re-classified yet. I just know we payed the same amount for our rooms.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 Nov, 2024
Terry, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your first visit to Destin and Holiday Surf and Racquet Club. We're glad you chose to stay with us but regret to hear about the disparity in your experience. Each unit is individually owned, and while classified into different tiers, updates and amenities can vary. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will review the classification to ensure consistency. Beautiful, well maintained property - outdated room

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Last year in 2023 we booked an impromptu 5 night vacation in room 422 and was first introduced to Holiday Surf and Racquet club. We fell in love with the property and had a wonderful vacation. This year, we booked another 5 nights and chose 523. The condo was super clean as to be expected, but was very outdated. Cosmetics was not as much of a bother as the condition of the kitchenware. The pots and pans were all scratched and dented and we were afraid to even use them but had no choice. One of the showers had super low water pressure. Was overall surprised at condition of the unit for as premium of a property as it is. Still enjoyed our stay and love the property but will be more selective on the unit for our next trip.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 Oct, 2024
Julie, Thank you for your detailed feedback and for returning to Holiday Surf and Racquet Club! We're glad to hear that you continue to love the property and had another enjoyable stay. While it's great that Unit 523 was super clean, we appreciate your honest input regarding the kitchenware and water pressure. We’ll make sure these concerns are addressed, and your suggestions will help us improve. We’re glad your overall experience was still positive, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another stay, with a unit more to your liking! Complex was great, unit 523 was outdated & needs improvement!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked another unit & were forced to switch to another with under 30 days to check in due to unit sale. The photos are not very representative of actual unit. Housekeeping did a nice job with cleaning the damaged & old unit. Carpets were already showing some wear & tear. Painting needs to be completed. Entire unit #523 needs updating & basic needs were missing from kitchen (cutting board, sheet pan, scrub sponges). All kitchen pots & pans were old & damaged. The HSRC property management team (Brittany, Vicki & Michelle) stepped in & provided some new basic necessities for the kitchen. Unit has stained & broken furniture, very old decor, & lacks many cooking needs for folks that travel in to a beach town. Positives - Spectacular view, location & safety. I do not hold VRBO or HSRC responsible for these issues, but the owner of this property needs so help. Thank you!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Thus condo was adequate. Comfortable furniture but not colorful. I found the kitchen poorly equipped. But i think i will check with VRBO. The private owners give a much better ambiance. 524 is where i was back in April it was awsome.

Cozy Condo

The condo has a great view. It’s located close to the stairs so we were a few steps from our vehicle. Since we stayed during the winter, we spent more time in the room than usual. Loved having multiple TVs and WiFi access. The beach was great. Temps were in high 60s and low 70s. Beach was not crowded and we even swam a little in the ocean. Also, the pool is heated. We’ve stayed there 3 times. Going back next year!
