Listen to the sounds of the howler monkeys and the many birds that pass through daily - tucans, parrots and many more. Hundreds of birds can be heard and seen and often birds nests can be found where you might just get a chance to see a new generation of tropical birds enter this beautiful world. Bird songs provide music throughout the day. Butterflies, hummingbirds, monkeys and other tame wildlife are abundant at your doorstep. Each afternoon your senses are delighted by the aroma of Ylang Ylang trees.
From your dinning room table you overlook gardens, mountains and a modest Pacific Ocean view- just enough to remind you that the Pacific Ocean is only minutes away. Located on your covered veranda is a living room / dinning area surrounded by the glorious mountain views , tropical gardens and numerous fruit and palm trees.
This lovely cottage is a melding of an original Costa Rican beautiful wood home and an addition with huge arched windows and many unique details. Great care was taken to preserve the original charm while expanding this home to create a very spacious living environment. With living room and dining space indoors or outdoors one has many choices.
There are hiking trails on the property leading to glorious Pacific Ocean views with sitting areas on the top (360 degree Ocean and Mountain views) where you can enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset Here you are overlooking the largest Marine preserve in Central America, Cano Island and the Whale's Tail reef (the third largest in the world) and three rivers below.
Just one mile above the resort town of Uvita there is easy access to all beaches, restaurants and shopping and yet totally secluded and private.
If you care to take a walk or drive there is easy access to a beautiful waterfall where you can enjoy a morning or afternoon swim.
