“Masdon’s Mayberry" is a spacious, comfortable house located in Kinsale with panoramic views over the town - just a 10 minute walk (downhill) to the town centre, shops and restaurants. Guests have the entire house to themselves, a private garden and two private parking spaces. The house is located in a quiet, residential area. Kinsale harbour, shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, bars, playground etc are all within walking distance of the house. The town centre is just 500 metres from the house. The nearest beach is a 5 minute drive. Kinsale is on the famous Wild Atlantic Way and many of the beautiful locations and pretty towns along the County Cork coastline are nearby. Cork city and airport are less than half an hour away.

THE HOUSE
The ground floor living room and sunroom open onto the private terrace and garden. The upstairs floor has another spacious living room and a balcony overlooking the garden. Both levels have beautiful views. The house sleeps up to 8 people and Wifi is available throughout. It's a perfect space for families and friends to gather and enjoy.

We're always available by phone and email to chat and help with any queries. We will provide detailed information about the house and the local area: supermarkets, restaurants, tourist office and attractions, etc. We will provide the access code for the house in advance of your arrival.

Please note:
The centre of Kinsale town is flat however the surrounding residential areas are hilly. The house is located uphill.

Sheets, towels and basic toiletries are provided.

Please abide by the following rules:
- Strictly no parties or events.
- Treat our house and neighbours with respect.
- Use the bins provided for rubbish, recycling and bottles.
- Empty the bins and keep the house clean.
- Check in time is from 3pm-11pm, check out is 11am. If we can provide early check in and late check out we would be happy to do so.
- Only the agreed number of guests are allowed.
- Only the agreed length of stay is allowed.
- Guests are liable for any damages and losses they incur.
- If you avail of our wifi network, you do so in agreement that you will use it only for legal purposes.
- No smoking in the house.
- No pets allowed.
- Please be careful on all tiles when wet, inside and outside.
- Any booking obtained under false pretence will be subject to the forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in or stay on the premises.
- Children to be supervised at all times on the property.
- The guest who is making the booking may be asked to provide their home address, email address, telephone number and a copy of their passport in advance of their visit - this information will be kept in strict confidence by the host and deleted after the stay.

Fantastic stay, great house and host.

We had a fantastic 8 day holiday in this house. The host/owner Agnes was really communicative and flexible. The house is in a great location and has everything you need to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. We would highly recommend and stay again.

Perfect location

This house was exactly as described. We loved Kinsale and used this for our base to see: Cliff of Moher ( bus tour), Cork, Cobh, Mizen head, and Ring of Kerry. We loved the ease to walk to town and get coffee in morning and dinner at night. Agnes went above and beyond helping us with our Ireland trip

Great stay

We absolutely loved it. We were in kinsale for a 9 day swim camp at sandycove. The location was perfect for that-about a 5 minute drive. The house was an excellent size for all of us. 3 of us had to work while we were there and the common spaces were spread out enough that it wasn’t an issue at all. It’s a short walk to town and the walk back will help burn off the Murphey’s you had with dinner. Agnes is a wonderful host. She responded quickly to questions and concerns and made us feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Agnes!

Wonderful Home and Location

A truly great experience from start to finish. Agnes couldn't have made our experience any better. She's very responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. When we arrived there was a delightful goodie basket and the refrigerator had some snacks and breakfast items. There was the most helpful manual we've ever seen. Things we're labeled in the house to make things easier. It's a a short hilly walk to town. We would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Agnes for a wonderful stay!

Family trip to Kinsale

There were 6 of us in this house and it was more than big enough. 3 living rooms of you are counting the sunroom. We used the backyard and the view was great! The owner was in touch and helpful, she made herself readily available if we needed her which we did not! The only down side is the walk from the center or town is very hilly! The walk down is okay but walk up can be a lot. But I would not let that stop you from staying here as the place is gorgeous

Kinsale Staycation

Agnes is absolutely a SuperHost. She went above and beyond for us. Her house is lovely. It is a bright, comfortable, spacious, beautifully clean house. She provides everything anyone would need. We loved everything about it and the location is terrific. Convenient to all Kinsale’s restaurants, shops, beaches and all the important historical sights. Beautiful walks and very special scenery. I cannot praise Agnes enough. She even posted to us a toy left behind. This meant so much to a 5 year older boy. Thank you Agnes.

Fabulous stay in a wonderful home

My family had an incredible vacation in a wonderful home. The house is everything and more listed on the website. Throughout our stay, we had family members coming and going. The house provides plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy as well as spaces large enough for everyone to gather. A lovely garden and patio provided a nice option for outdoor entertainment. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly want. Agnes is a indeed a super host with outstanding communication. She even provided fresh food on our arrival and checked with us several times during our stay to see if there was anything we needed or she could do on our behalf. The house is conveniently located to the Kinsale city center. Thank you Agnes and Masdon’s Mayberry for providing our family with a vacation we will always remember.

Family getaway for eight

A truly stellar experience from start to finish. Agnes was generous with her responses and time from the moment we booked, throughout our stay, and after. Her welcome basket was a total treat and very thoughtfully put together for our group. Any questions or concerns that came up she was able to respond to immediately and completely-she was a most supportive host! As for the house, it was perfect. We stayed as a group of 4 adults and 4 young adult children, and there was plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is fully equipped including an abdundance of dishes, cutlery, and very servicable pots-much better than the majority of rental properties! The best of all was the short walk into Kinsale town. With it's abundance of pubs and excellent restaurants, we were able to dine out and eat in to our hearts content! Thank you very much Agnes for making our Ireland visit truly perfect!

One of the best VRBOs we've stayed at

The owner kept in communication from the very first interaction. When our adult daughter had a change in shift, the owner worked with us and allowed a change in dates, much to our relief. This was our fifth trip to Ireland. Kinsale is a lovely town with many food options. The owner has a very detailed book for anything dealing with the house as well as local Take-Away/Delivery menus. The kitchen was stocked so well, to include strainers/colanders, bowls, pots and pans of all sizes, plenty of cutting boards and enough place settings for at least sixteen people, if not more! The beds are very comfortable with plenty of linens and towels. When a house is so well maintained, it leads to a great vacation as we availed ourselves of many activities and local shops without worrying about the house or our items. The owner even provided small snacks, coffee or tea and some milk and butter upon arrival. Even extra bathroom essentials and laundry soap was available. I highly recommend booking your stay in Kinsale at this gorgeous house.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Excellent host. Clean, comfortable, and very well stocked home. Furniture comfortable and clean. Plenty of nice glasses, dinnerware, cooking utensils. Very clean pots, pans, skillets (in fact, looked new) - best we've ever had in any vacation home rental. Applicances all worked well and were easy to use. Definitely an easy walk to town and other Kinsale locations. This felt like home away from home. Would stay here again in a hearbeat. Highly recommend this property and host!

Most perfect place imaginable in Kinsale!

We loved our stay at Agnes's home in Kinsale! The house is beautiful, comfortable, filled with EVERYTHING that you could possibly need and perfectly located in the heart of the town so that we could walk everywhere. We were a family of 6 adults and the rooms were private for each couple with great beds and a bath with each. The views of the water were photographed many times and the furniture was so comfortable to watch both tv's. Our favorite room was the sunroom off the kitchen! We were so pleasantly surprised to be supplied with food staples, paper goods and toiletries and the notes and booklet explained every possible appliance and switch. We really did not want to leave at the end of our stay as we felt so at home and happy here. Thank you for the great memories and all of the extras! If every rental home was this perfect, we would never stay in a hotel again.

My family and I had a fabulous time in this property. There was ample space for our party of 6 adults. Loved the big widows and views out to Kinsale. Would highly recommend a stay here. Location is also excellent with only a short walk into town.

We had a wonderful week in this great property. The location is excellent - easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. The house was clean and well-appointed and the owner thoughtfully provided many essentials - saving a shop on arrival. She was also highly responsive and gave good advice on activities and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Kinsale Home!

This beautiful home is spacious, clean, well appointed, and has the most comfortable beds! This was truly our favorite house in our two week stay in Ireland ;) Agnes is responsive and attentive, and there is a wonderful reference book/manual for the house and surrounding areas. Local tips - The Farmer’s Market was an unexpected treat! Cannot go wrong with the Cosy Cafe for a delicious breakfast and wonderful coffee. Also Daltons Pub is a must with locals playing trad music in a pub with a small intimate vibe.

Perfect for what we wanted - relaxed family time within walking distance of shops/pubs/restaurants. great walks out to the two Forts and drives into Cork and Clonakilty. Only 25 mins from airport - could not have been easier!

Wonderful House

My family and I stayed in this house for three nights in July, we were 6 adults and 3 young children, we had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, very modern with all amenities that you need, and the backyard was fabulous!! The kids enjoyed running in the grass, and the adults loved drinking our coffee with the gorgeous view. It’s a nice short walk into town, great location! Kinsale Treasure

Our family, comprised of grandparents, grown children and 2 teenage grandchildren started our 3 week visit to Ireland in this home and loved our stay. Agnes has thought of everything to make your stay in her house perfect. The lay out of the house provided areas of privacy for each age group and several common areas for all to gather. The use of the lock box for a key allowed us to go separate ways but we always had access to the house. GREAT JOB AGNES!

Can we move in?

The best place we stayed in all of Ireland! Close to town, beautiful views, plenty of space, clean, excellent furnishings, and more made Madson’s Mayberry the place we all wanted to move to. Don’t hesitate booking your stay. You won’t regret it one second!
