We all loved this place! Beautiful views, so secluded and tucked away - all we could hear were trees rustling. Accomodated 8 adults very comfortably and we had access to everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Very well stocked with all things needed for our stay. It was very clean, which is always appreciated. Our hosts were very communicative and answered all questions promptly. Nice and quiet. Loved it.
We had a great time! We spent a lot of time on the offroad trails and made the wildlife loop where the buffalo were roaming. Awesome! Great House and location to relax and recoup from the day ride!

This place was fantastic!
We had a wonderful time in this very clean and nice cabin. It is very convenient to lots of local attractions and has a beautiful setting nestled in the woods on a hill. The view was beautiful and the amenities were great. The owners were super to work with as well! Great for family get away - with space to separate families!

The Hog Heaven property was perfect for our family of seven. It was an incredibly quiet area tucked into the trees. The large deck offered a nice place to sit and enjoy our morning coffee while watching chipmunks and birds. We appreciated the attention to detail in providing binoculars and a flashlight for use around the property. I would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for a quiet spot while still being close to Custer.
This is a beautiful cabin away from other people. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was stocked well with lots of basic needs. When we ran low on water, the truck was on its way when I called the property owner and he had us up and running again. Definitely would recommend Hog Heaven.
This home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation to the Black Hills region. It's a beautiful setting with great views from the patio and the fire pit is perfect for evenings. The home itself is incredible. Everything about it was top notch and it all felt brand new. Would highly recommend!
Awesome property! I don't think the pictures did it justice. Our kiddos had imagination overload playing on the property. We just ran out of time everyday to do everything we wanted. A/C would have been really nice as it was hot while we were there. Definitely would rent again.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view!!
We had an amazing vacation in South Dakota and this home made it perfect! First of all the photo's do not do it justice, the place is just beautiful and so roomy. The location was perfect for us, we were able to see all the attractions and still come home every night to play games and cook some supper. I highly recommend this home and if we are ever in the area, we would stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.
For us, the house was nearly perfect. The teenagers all stayed in the walkout basement and loved it Unfortunately the weather was unusually hot and the home has no air conditioning. At night, it was fine and the mornings were great but the afternoons when we stayed home were pretty miserable. Would we come again? Absolutely, but not in August.
Love the cabin
Love the location
When booking the cabin I missed the part regarding no air conditioning, but the fans helped with that
Nature left it’s scent so we were unable to use the lower level due to the smell, that would of also helped with having no air conditioning
We would definitely stay there again
We loved our stay at Hog Heaven. We were two families with five kids ages 5-9 and four adults and had plenty of room for all of us. Great spaces indoors and out, the kids loved playing in the forest. The house had everything we needed and was in a peaceful location. We even had a big horn ewe pass through one morning!
We had a few minor issues during our stay, but the host was very responsive and we got them resolved in a timely manner.
No real cell service at the house (Verizon), which didn't bother us at all. There was wi-fi that worked just fine.
We would definitely stay here again! The kids are very sad to be leaving their "crystal shop".
2 parents and 5 kids. We just finished a 5 night stay here and loved our first time visiting the Black Hills. We did all the usual stuff nearby and loved coming back to our cabin each night. Quiet and relaxing with amazing stars at night and lightning shows! The rock hill to the left of the cabin is so cool! It's an easy 5 minute hike but watch your step! Our favorite things: Horatio's Ice Cream ( we went 3 times), Black Hill Burger and Bun (so good!), Begging Burrow Mexican restaurant, Needles Hwy, Cathedral Spires hike, Rankin Ridge Hike in Wind Cave NP, Devils Tower and Mammoth Site. Thanks Carol!

The pictures don't do it justice
The place is beautiful. We had ten adults and never felt like we were in each others way. The view from the deck was amazing and we also enjoyed the fire pit and exploring the surrounding woods. The drive from the main road was always an adventure due to the herd of Bison that roam the area. We never knew if they would be blocking the road.
The owners are also amazing. Always available and helpful. They have done a great job with the property. They have added their personal touch to make it feel like home.
We would rent this property in a heartbeat again, the only drawback was the gravel road and that was because we were on motorcycles. It was doable but better with a car.
You will enjoy your time there...........
We had four couples and everyone had their own space. We all enjoyed the scenery and location of this home the deck was everyone’s favorite. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Our host was very helpful and responded to all our needs.
We loved our stay at Hog Heaven, what a beautiful, welcoming, clean place to stay with gorgeous views!!

About the host
Hosted by Carol Lingemann
We have always loved the Black Hills and finally decided to purchase our own private get away. Our children and grandchildren enjoy sharing this home with us. We are farmers in eastern SD. This way we have the best of several worlds.
Why they chose this property
This property met all the check marks on our list for a home in the Hills and it was a long list. We think the builder must have been reading our minds when they built this home.
What makes this property unique
There is no better place to put your feet up and relax than on the deck. Enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the birds. Have a steak on the grill for dinner and enjoy a glass of wine while you watch the stars come out. The view of the Milky Way in August makes you feel like you are living in the stars.
