A Rustic Northwoods Lake Cottage Surrounded by Pines and Wildlife
Set on a gentle hill overlooking pristine, no‑wake Silver Lake, this charming Northwoods cottage offers peaceful lake views, towering pines, and the kind of quiet that makes you breathe a little deeper. Located just 9 miles south of Minocqua and minutes from the Bearskin Trail in Hazelhurst, it’s the perfect base for exploring the area—or simply unwinding by the water.
The property is rich with wildlife. Deer wander through the yard, loons call across the lake at dusk, eagles soar overhead, and ducks glide along the shoreline. On a lucky morning, you might even spot a turkey. Nature is truly part of the experience here.

A Peaceful, Clear‑Water Lake
Silver Lake features a clear sand‑bottom swimming area and a natural grass shoreline. Spend sunny days on the large Otter Island swim raft, relax on one of two piers, or enjoy the sparkling water from shore. Because the lake is no‑wake, it stays wonderfully quiet—no loud motorboats, just the sounds of nature. For those who love to be on the water, the cottage includes a rowboat, canoe, kayak, and old‑fashioned paddleboat. Fishing is excellent, with bass, panfish, and perch plentiful in the lake.

Cozy Knotty‑Pine Cottage Living
Inside, the cottage features warm knotty‑pine walls and simple, comfortable spaces. Two cozy bedrooms: both bedrooms have a queen bed, each with a ceiling fan and small storage area.A combined kitchen and living area with a full‑size refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave, and seating for four. A full size sleeper sofa, chair, and SMART TV for relaxing after a day outdoors. A highlight of the cottage is the screened‑in porch overlooking the lake—perfect for morning coffee, evening card games, or simply listening to the loons.The bathroom includes a shower stall (no tub) and is accessed through the screened porch. A forced air gas furnace provides heat for the bedrooms and main living area.

Outdoor Spaces Made for Relaxing
Enjoy meals at the picnic table, fire up the charcoal grill, or gather around the lakeside fire pit for a classic Northwoods bonfire. The lakefront, fire pit, piers, raft, and watercraft are shared with one additional on‑site rental, giving everyone plenty of room to enjoy the water.

Adventure at Your Doorstep
The town road is an approved ATV route, offering easy access to the near by ATV trail system. Biking, hiking, paddling, fishing, and exploring Minocqua and beyond are all close by.

It was a nice and quite location. Norma our host was very warm and responsive to any inquiry we had. The property is well taking care of and everything provide for you to enjoy the outdoors. Great little cafe not far from the property that is open Tuesday through Friday.

Clean and comfortable cottage right on Silver Lake

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with our dog and found it to be exactly what we needed. People looking for a week long rental on a lake would be very happy here. Everything is included except bath towels. It had a very nice stove and fridge, comfortable bedrooms, screened porch, piers to fish from and a fire pit. It was very easy to book and is clean and well maintained.

Loved everything but…. Didn’t realize we had to bring our own towels and wash cloths. The beds were very comfortable. The bad thing about the bed rooms, no electrical outlets… lamps but no where to plug them in.

We really enjoyed our stay. It has old school charm, up north feel, and is away from the things of man. Be prepared to be a little cold in the bathroom in the fall months when temps drop. Access to canoes and kayaks were great. Roughing it here is part of the adventure! Truly enjoyed unplugging and feeling alive.

We enjoyed this lovely, serene, rustic, cozy cabin. It was clean, had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. We loved the location which was very quiet and truly in the woods. We had fun fishing, exploring, and sitting by the campfire. It was a great place to take time out to read and relax. We loved learning about the history of the T-Pine rentals. It would be ideal to rent both places for a family gathering.. Thanks for sharing your rentals.

This place was just as it was described. It was clean and comfortable. No Wi-Fi but who wants Wi-Fi when you are on vacation? We loved the quiet peacefulness of the lake. We took a small trolling motor that clipped onto the row boat. It worked perfectly. We caught plenty of bass and pike. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, quiet property. Close to sand bottom lake. Enclosed porch to enjoy the outdoors while staying in on the rainy days. Fully stocked cabin with great communication with owner. My husband and I inherited this property from my mother in 2008. I grew up on the shores of Silver Lake. We recently moved back to Hazelhurst from Southern Wisconsin and now live on the property with our 3 dogs. The property has been in my family since my grandfather purchased it in the 1940's.
