Located just 9 miles south of Minocqua and minutes from the Bearskin Trail in Hazelhurst, it’s the perfect base for exploring the area—or simply unwinding by the water.
The property is rich with wildlife. Deer wander through the yard, loons call across the lake at dusk, eagles soar overhead, and ducks glide along the shoreline. On a lucky morning, you might even spot a turkey. Nature is truly part of the experience here.

A Peaceful, Clear‑Water Lake
Silver Lake features a clear sand‑bottom swimming area and a natural grass shoreline. Spend sunny days on the large Otter Island swim raft, relax on one of two piers, or enjoy the sparkling water from shore. Because the lake is no‑wake, it stays wonderfully quiet—no loud motorboats, just the sounds of nature. For those who love to be on the water, the cottage includes a rowboat, canoe, kayak, and old‑fashioned paddleboat. Fishing is excellent, with bass, panfish, and perch plentiful in the lake.

Inside, the cottage features warm knotty‑pine walls and simple, comfortable spaces. Two cozy bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, each with a ceiling fan and small storage area.A combined kitchen and living area with a full‑size refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave, and seating for four. A full size sleeper sofa, chair, and SMART TV for relaxing after a day outdoors. A highlight of the cottage is the screened‑in porch overlooking the lake—perfect for morning coffee, evening card games, or simply listening to the loons.The bathroom includes a shower stall (no tub) and is accessed through the screened porch. A forced air gas furnace provides heat for the bedrooms and main living area.
