This beautiful privately owned home in a small island neighborhood is perfect for couples, honeymoons, families, reunions or a girlfriend getaway. It is lavishly furnished in bright tropical hues with a Key West feel and faces northwest to experience gorgeous sunsets. The deck is brand new and spacious, equipped with a grill for barbequeing, a sparkling pool, plenty of comfy patio furniture for sunbathing, relaxing or just enjoying the view. We also have 2 kayaks here for you to use. Enjoy Al fresco dining or a cool drink in your beautiful private waterfront backyard where you have dolphins, manatee, and even a bald eagle as your neighbor! You can fish right out your back door, or pick up something to grill from one of several fresh fish markets.
This 3 Bedroom 3 Bath home with a loft is located in Tarpon Springs, one of the best-kept cultural secrets in Florida. It is one of the largest Greek communities outside of Greece and listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Its yearly calendar is filled with Greek festivals, street dancing, music and events. Just a few minutes by boat will take you to the beautiful open water of the Gulf of Mexico, where you may visit Anclote Key and its famous lighthouse immortalized by singer Bertie Higgins! Here you can hike, snorkle, collect shells, visit the lighthouse or just relax on an island maintained in its pristine and natural condition. Other beaches in the area are the equally lovely Honeymoon Island, and Caledesi Island State Park, which is consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S.
With plenty of windows in the house and two kayaks for guest use, you will enjoy to the fullest what you came to Florida to do--enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures, which are year round. Take out a kayak and explore one of the many uninhabitied islands that dot the river where you may see herons, egrets, eagles, osprey, manatee, tarpon, dolphins, sting ray, the elusive rosette spoonbill, and much more all in their protected habitats. Sunset Beach, known for its sunset concerts, and Fred Howard Park Beach with wonderful picnic facilities, wind surfing and playground are both just a short drive away, as well as the world renown Innisbrook Golf Courses. Tarpon Springs even has its own picturesque course where you can warm up!
Please note there is no safety fence around the pool area, and no fence around the home where it backs up to the water. Therefore, the property may not be suitable for small children and nonswimmers.
The home is located in a quiet, private island neighborhood in Tarpon Springs, approximately 25 minutes from the Suncoast Parkway, approximately 40 minutes from highway 75. St. Petersburg/Clearwater is about 30 minutes south and Tampa is about 40 minutes east. Orlando and the Disney vacation land is just a quick 1 1/2 hours east. Our home has a beautiful heated pool.

This was our second stay at Diane's lovely house. The first time we had 2 family's and still had more than enough room for everyone. The house is beautiful and spacious with an excellent view of the canal. My husband and kiddos enjoyed being able to fish so close to the house.The sponge docks are just 2 minute drive away. The house offers everything you would need to live your day to day life. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil needed. Lots of towels and a very clean house all around. We will definitely be back & highly recommend!

Great waterfront home!

This is our second time back to Tarpon Springs and it was wonderful. We rented a pontoon for two days from the marina just down the road and being able to walk to the marina and drive the boat back to the house for loading was great. No more loading up the car with fishing gear, coolers ect. The pool was nice and the back yard had a very private feel to it. We stay in Tarpon because the food is amazing. This years trip did not let us down. We did drive to Clearwater twice and the drive seems shorter than it is, just because is so close to the water and its beautiful. Our trip to Busch Gardens was great as well! The beds in this home are amazing. In the past through VRBO, I have had to purchase extra pillows and other things to be comfortable. The home owners have not spared money in the bedrooms and it shows. Everyone slept so well. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pots and pans could use an upgrade however unless you are making fancy meals they work just fine. I work remote so prior to booking this home, I messaged the owner about wifi. I was nervous that I would not be able to work through my companies VPN. The wifi was as discribed and I was able to work quickly with no issues ever. This was a blessing and another reason we will book this home in the furture. Nice home, plenty of space, great sleeping and the ability to boat from home made this rental perfect for us.

Most beautiful place we have ever stayed

This place was 10 times more beautiful than the pictures. Very spacious, clean, and perfect location. My spouse and I, as well as our children, absolutely loved staying here. We stayed for a week, and were all sad to leave. The local seafood, fishing, and dolphins in the canal every day, was just an added bonus. My family and I highly recommend this property.

Can't Wait to Return

Staying in this beautiful home was so much better than any hotel or resort I have ever been. The environment was so peaceful and relaxing. Everyone on the vacation had their own space and yet we still had space to gather as well. The neighborhood is quiet and just overall lovely and the water is so peaceful. This house is close to so many interesting places. Although the beaches and Greek village are not in walking distance, the drive is less than 5 minutes in most cases

A Girl's Trip Celebrating 60th Birthdays!!

This is a lovely home located in a quiet neighborhood in Tarpon Springs. The perfect place for a Girls Getaway!! The back patio and pool is a very pretty and private setting that overlooks a canal. Many hours were spent by our party of 7 relaxing poolside. In the evenings, we enjoyed the open concept kitchen and living room areas! Perfect set up for the 7 of us to all sit together and visit. The house is as nice as depicted in the photos. Very clean! All correspondence with the owner was pleasant and answered in a timely manner. The house is located very close to many bars and restaurants that are on the water. We enjoyed Captain Jacks, Rusty Bellies, and Miss Vickies!! We will definitely be coming back!!

Prefect home for family gathering!

We are so glad we found this lovely home for our family vacation. It is centrally located in the Tampa Bay area and just a mile from the famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. It was so nice having the pool & the layout was awesome for cooking, TV & games. It was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen and even came with beach towels. Beautiful Comfy Home

Tarpon Springs is s delightful town and this home is ideally located. Meticulously clean and exactly as advertised. We were there to work on our vessel that was hauled out nearby. It was a welcome respit to come home to this spacious waterfront home. Without a doubt this home would be perfect vacation for friends and extended family to enjoy the area.

The property was wonderful, especially the back yard with the pool and being on the water..

The house was lovely, very comfortable so you could feel relaxed like at home. A quiet neighborhood and for us a short walk to the marina where we had our boat for the week. The kitchen had everything you need, to cook, I do think the pots and pans need to be updated they are quite old. Plenty of towels and beach towels for our use even though we brought beach towels we did use some at the pool , a washer and dryer always comes in handy. The pool was used mainly in the evenings after dinner since we were at the beac , on the boat or around town, the girls enjoyed getting to swim before bedtime, we would gather outside and talk while they swam. I would rent this house again.

Spectacular house in the middle of everything!

Stayed for a week early May--weather was windy 1st day, the great from then on. House is close to the sponge docs, the downtown area of Tarpon Springs and is nicely decorated and very comfortable for a family with 2 Bd upstairs and the master on main level (keeps kids in different part of house :) Pool was great and enjoyed almost every day there for some period of time. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Stay in Tarpon Springs

If your destination is Tarpon Springs, this house is a great choice. We spent as much time as possible relaxing by the pool which is right off the kitchen/living area. There is also a bathroom just off the pool which is nice. The kitchen is well equipped and has just about everything you need; condiments, spices, coffee filters, etc, etc. The house is in a quiet neighborhood but is only minutes from the sponge docks, restaurants, and all manner of tourist activities. It is also only a very short drive to great beaches. We liked them all, Fred Howard was closest, Honeymoon beach was great but our favorite was Caladesi Island...you can only get there by boat but there is a ferry from Honeymoon Island that leaves every 30 minutes. You can also kayak over, which we did, but that is a long way to go in open water! As far as our favorite restaurants, we liked Rusty Bellies (be prepared to wait), Dimitri's (water view and excellent food and service) and The Original Mama Maria's Greek Cuisine on Pinellas Ave. (good value/great food) The owner was great to work with and communications were prompt and helpful. The local caretaker, Laura, quickly and cheerfully helped us with a couple of questions.

Perfect Vacation Rental!

Great location, beautiful furnishings and a refreshing pool. My family and I stayed for two weeks and loved every minute of it. Two bedrooms and an amazing 1st floor half wing master bedroom and bath. Perfect location in a quiet upscale neighborhood, secure and close to Greektown, Tarpon Springs. Will definitely be staying there again!!!

Great stay

We had a great time staying in your home. It is truly as beautiful as pictured. The location was great there are several quite beaches around or you can take the short drive to Clearwater. We also enjoyed visiting the Greek area and of course we had a couple of returns to our favorite bakery there. The home was comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 5. My husband and I grew up in Mpls. We moved to SD where he taught and coached at SDSU and I had a home based business. We are now retired and spend part of our year in SD and part in Florida. We love to travel, boating, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with our 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

After looking at properties throughout this area we came upon this beautiful home the day it went on the market. We fell in love it it. The open floor plan, bright surroundings and quiet neighborhood. When looking out any of the sliding doors or sitting on the deck we look over a canal that goes into Anclote River which is a short distance to the Gulf of Mexico. What we loved most was there are no homes across our canal. You look out at beautiful green trees and palm trees and see much wild life.
We are from SD with wide open spaces this felt like home to us.

What makes this property unique

We leave 2 kayaks here along with paddles and life jackets for you to use at your leasure. Best place to put them in the water is in our common area. You can also take them to Howard Park where they have beautiful Kayak trails you can go through or the new Kayak ramp just up the road at the waterpark on the river.
