This gorgeous 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, gated oceanfront villa was built in 1918 and has just been fully remodeled with an open, contemporary beach house feel while still honoring the original architecture of the home. In the renovation we revealed beautiful arches within, expanded the gourmet kitchen with all new appliances, a coffee bar and wine fridge. Saltilo tile and wood flooring bring a Mediterranean feel. Every bedroom has a view of the picturesque ocean and world renowned Mokulua islands. The open living space, and an expansive front entry and back yard are perfect for families and large groups.The dining room is located on the lanai overlooking the ocean for indoor/outdoor entertaining at its best. The home is decorated in vibrant color themes complimenting the natural surroundings. Local art throughout the home add a special island feel. The back yard has an outdoor bar, bbq, hot tub, shower, and lounge area.
Just a few steps away is access to a beautiful, secluded white sand beach. Enjoy your days kayaking and snorkeling or just relax on the beach and enjoy the view of the islands. Don't be surprised if you see giant sea turtles swim by or whales jumping out in the distance during the winter months. Fall asleep to the sound of gentle ocean wave and wake up each morning to the most breathtaking sunrises right outside your bedroom. This unique property is truly paradise.

Words Can't Describe

Words can't describe the beauty of this location and vacation home. My colleagues and I had the pleasure of staying here in May 2015. It was perfection and for our very picky group of guests, this really says a lot. Where to start? Our Hosts Our hosts, Gina and Brad personified Hawaiian hospitality. Before we even arrived we felt welcome and very much taken care of. It can be a fine line - how much attention is just enough but these guys have it down pat. They were there for us in every way - offering suggestions to our questions of where to shop for groceries, a local bath and body products store, a good place to watch a sporting event etc. and were never intrusive. Our Accommodations This home was originally built in 1919 and recently completely renovated. The renovation was perfect. They left just enough of the original house (unique windows and archways) to make it historic while adding every possible amenity. Beautiful hardwood floors, gorgeous furnishing and beds and bedding that you never want to leave. I am a huge sheet snob and this bed linen exceed my expectations. :-) There are many quiet little nooks in this house so that there is plenty of room and privacy even for a large group. Because the structure is that old, it is RIGHT on the water - something that you can no longer do in Hawaii. I honestly felt like I was floating in the turquoise waters while lying in my bed. The occasional outrigger passed by close enough to touch and that made it all the more special. The Beach and Bay The secluded beach and the beautiful waters of Lanikai Bay are exactly what you imagine when thinking of a tropical paradise. We swam, we relaxed and we even kayaked out to the twin islands about 1/2 mile off shore. They even have a small break water that they created so the little ones can swim in the ocean safely. The Location Lanikai is what you envision when you think of a smallish Hawaiian town and it is a quick drive to Waikiki (if that is what you are into). There was plenty to do right in town. Good restaurants, friendly people and some great hiking trails. I highly recommend the pill box trail which is a very easy hike with views to die for. In short, this is an amazing 5 star property which get my highest recommendations!

Family Christmas

This is a beautiful and spacious property convenient to beaches and town. We were all very comfortable in this home. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, dishes and appliances. The house was very clean when we arrived. There was even a decorated Christmas tree! The location is superb with a small private beach a short walk from the driveway. The hot tub was a popular spot. Everywhere had a gorgeous view of 2 islands. Wake up to soothing sound of waves crushing on the beach

Our family of three generations loved the beautiful unblock ocean views, the privacy, and the easy access to beach that this unique property offered. Wake up and jump right in your kayaks or watch the sunrise right from the beautiful and well appointed kitchen. The color of the sea is whimsical and changes throughout the day. What better vacation in Hawaii can one hope for. Gina was very responsive and resourceful. She pulled off everything from kayak rental and delivery to arranging private chefs and massage therapies all last minute.

Stunning location with views and house to match!

This house was booked for a family reunion with age range from 5 to 75. I believe when I was reading the reviews someone likened it to living like the rich and famous. They honestly don’t know how accurate they are. We talked with and listened to stories from the locals. This house has some history. From the time I booked this house the owner was receptive and quick to respond to questions. We booked a private chef (Andres Bravo) one night and to have it prepared at the house with unbelievable views was an incredible memory. The homeowner helped us with kayak rentals, we snorkeled right outside the house which turned out to be swimming with the turtles, and the kids had impromptu soccer games in the backyard. Hot tubs, ocean breezes and swimming were at our finger tips. What you see online honestly does not do it justice. The house and whole experience will be something dreams are made of.

Paradise in Lanikai

Honestly, when I booked this property, I was skeptical that the photos had been touched up. I was wrong. The property and surrounding scenery was exactly how it is pictured and absolutely amazing. Stayed here with extended family for 5 nights in June. 5 Bedrooms on the top floor and one bedroom in the cottage. The cottage itself is amazing with kitchen, living room, and lanai. The first floor of the main building has a spacious living room, welcome counter, kitchen, dining area, laundry etc. The back has an open seating area, bar, bbq grill which open up to a spacious garden. Private beach shared by a couple of houses within the gates is about 100 meters away. The house is furnished with everything you need from kitchen appliances to beach towels and equipment. Our favorite feature was the half open dining area between the kitchen and garden. Breakfast in the mornings and BBQs at sunset with the whole family were amazing. Gina was absolutely great. Very fast responses and accommodating/helpful before our trip. During the trip as well. For example, we wanted an ironing board and one was brought over the next day. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing, well-equipped property with stunning views and a great location

This villa in Kailua wowed our entire party the moment we arrived. From the sweeping vistas across to the Mokulua islands featuring turquoise waters to the charming villa itself with a tropical-island vibe, this property was all we could ask for. Nearly every bedroom in the house has views towards the ocean, and brings in a tropical breeze coming from the east side of the island. The kitchen and outdoor dining area was perfect for large group dinners, with views over the enormous back yard complete with palm trees and night lighting. The location of the house its very convenient for accessing some of the very popular beaches in the area, and is also conveniently close to Whole Foods, Target, etc and numerous local restaurants and eateries. Will definitely be returning!

A beautiful home and responsive manager/owners

This is, as described in its posting, a gorgeous villa. The house and guest cottage are at the end of a gated compound. When each of our adult children and their spouses arrived and looked around, each one's response was that it was even better than the pictures. The bedrooms have magnificent views and almost all have direct access to balconies looking out on the ocean. While sitting in the living room, we watched through the panoramic window, as green sea turtles poked heads out of the water on three different days. The kitchen is well outfitted. The completely sheltered but open to the fresh air dining room comfortably sat our 11 family members. There are smaller breakfast rooms and a kitchen counter. The villa has many distinct spaces, including the private balconies, so we had both excellent group spaces for talking and playing games together (living room and veranda), but also separate smaller indoor and outdoor quiet spots for an individual to read or just chill. In addition, the guest "cottage" is a beautiful living space with its own hot tub, (there are two hot tubs on the property), balcony, additional kitchen (we didn't use this one except for AM coffee), etc. The compound has a small sandy beach which is well supplied with chairs, etc. During our stay there was one other family and our group at this beach. It is also only a five-ten minute walk, three minute bicycle ride, to the magnificent Lanikai beach and its remarkably soft sand. The town of Kailua is a five-ten minute drive and has a full range of services including Shop Rite and Whole Foods for groceries. During our stay the owner of the property, Gina, and her sister, Christie, were very helpful and responsive. We did have a weather event on the last night of our stay with torrential rain combined with a very powerful north wind which was unusual. Sitting watching lightening over the ocean in the covered dining area was quite beautiful. However the unusually powerful winds caused a power outage for the area. There were storm lanterns in the villas so lighting was not a problem, but a couple of windows upstairs developed leaks, and water came in through the bottom of the closed front door. (The north wind whipped water against this side of the house.) Gina's family, while dealing with flooding in their own place, were concerned for us and responsive to our questions, and in the AM maintenance came to identify the sources of leakage for repair. A small event in a villa paradise.

A place of absolute perfection

This location is as close as it gets to paradise. The house and layout is great for anyone who wants to enjoy luxury. We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday and stayed with 14 guests. The house has great view bedrooms and beautiful bathrooms, a great kitchen and enough entertainment space to have a celebration. This is Hawaii at its best !

The Absolute Best in Lanikai!

Staying at this home felt like lifestyles of the rich and famous! I never really got over how beautiful this home was the whole time we were there! Stylishly decorated and every room had the most amazing views including the kitchen, eating areas, patios and balconies. Pretty sure this is the best view of the Mokulua islands in all of Lanikai! There was plenty to keep the kids interested too, they loved the little desk up front where they colored and greeted us with happy smiles as we walked by. They also got a big kick out of the little outdoor kitchen serving area where they would play "cafe". I would have been so happy to just stay here all day and enjoy but I have to say, the Kailua area was awesome. Plenty of cute little shops and places to eat. We ate most of our meals home cooked at the house but the few places we tried in Kailua were very tasty. The kids liked the little beach that was a few yards walk from the house and it was great that they had chairs and boogie boards available to use. Gina was absolutely wonderful. She arranged for kayaks to be delivered to the house so some of our group could kayak over to Moku Nui Island. They loved it! Ocean breezes and falling asleep to the surf below the windows, comfy beds and the most unbelievable views from every angle. Paradise. The whole experience though, unbelievably fantastic. I felt lucky to be there and would go back in a heartbeat!

Incredible stay at the Villa

Staying at the Lanakai Villa was an incredible and memorable experience. The house is luxurious and spacious. It is very well maintained and the furniture is clean. Almost every room in the house has a clear view of the Pacific ocean and its own patio. Going to bed while listening to the ocean waves and waking up to the sunrise was simply awesome. The dining room is open and also overlooks the ocean. The kitchen is up-to-date and has everything you need to prepare and cook meals. There is also more than adequate pantry and refrigerator space to feed 7 adults and 4 kids for several meals. There is a private beach about 50 yards away. The famous Lanikai and Kailua beaches are also less than 2 miles away. The house has a cooler, beach towels, beach toys, body boards, beach umbrellas, and beach towels. Gina, the property manager, was a joy to deal with. She was professional, friendly, responsive, and made sure that we were well taken care of.

Paradise in paradise!

We stayed at The Villa with our young kids, friends and family...needless to say we could not have been happier with our trip and the impeccable service we received from Gina throughout our stay. The home is luxury in every sense of the word yet feels very cozy. The location and views simply cannot be beat, there is more than enough room for a large group, the home is very kid-friendly and you truly feel like you're on vacation from the moment you pull into the driveway. We will definitely be returning to The Villa...thank you Gina for an incredible experience!

Labor day week

We traveled with a full three generation family - Parents, adult kids, teens and little ones. This home was wonderful for all. The accommodations cannot be captured in pictures. The type of place where you jaw drops open when you arrive to the property and you remain in awe as you take your initial tour.Reality is better than any description that we received in advance of the trip. The home owner was wonderful to work with and very attentive to our needs. We had the benefit of the privacy of our own piece of paradise with the convenience of the rest of the island when we desirerd. The Villa is clearly the best place to stay on Oahu.

Perfect spot for all!

While visiting family in Kailua, we enjoyed a wonderful week at this perfect location. With amazing views from every room, many different spots to relax, each with their own advantages, we had more then enough room for our large ohana! The home is decorated beautifully, provides all you need for a family stay and the private beach is perfect to escape the crowds. It's a easy walk to Lanikai beach and the loop is wonderful for your morning or evening walks/runs/bike. There's nothing like being on the ocean and hearing the waves at night. The mana (power) of the islands is indescribable at this wonderful home. Working with Gina and the caretakers was effortless and we can't wait to return!

Wonderful days in paradise

Our family of 7 recently had the priviledge to stay in this incredible villa. The villa has all the amenities to make for an outstanding vacation. The location and views are unbelievable. Beautiful ocean views from every bedroom. The view of the Mokulua islands right in front of this villa is amazing. The photo's and video for this property shows this beautiful property exactly as it is. The calm bay and private beach is ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding or just swimming. The owner is great and the villa is clean and very well organised. We had the BEST time and the most beautiful memories of our time here in paradise. Enchanting!!

We celebrated our wedding at Kualoa Ranch and our family and friends were able to visit with us at this villa! It was perfect having a cozy yet luxurious spot to enjoy breakfast or late night moon and star gazing in the hot tub. A Villa fit for Royalty

There aren't pictures or a description that could accurately describe this property located on one of the most beautiful points in Hawaii. From the impeccably designed decor, large windows spanning the greater part of most rooms, two outdoor hot tubs, luxurious master suite jacuzzi tub, multiple balconies, and incredible lanai, this villa is a place of dreams. My girlfriends and I rented it for a week and were blown away by it's sheer perfection. There's not a room in the house you wouldn't want! We left the windows open at night to fall asleep to the soft sound of the ocean and the view of the two small islands in the near distance under a full moon. The house is fully equipped, we drove into Kailua town to purchase groceries on the first day and couldn't have complained less not to leave the property the rest of the trip other than the nearby Pill Box hike. The guest book provides contact information for a local Kayak company that delivers kayaks right to the villa, we rented two and adventured to the left island about 20 minutes away for a fun day in the sun snorkeling the reefs. A private beach is just a short distance a way... just as beautiful yet without the crowds found on the main strip of Lanikai Beach. Gina was a fantastic host and booking the Villa was a breeze! She was easily reachable and warmly welcomed us to the Villa. It was the best getaway we've ever experienced and the property is (seriously) unbeatable. If there's any vacation we could go on, it'd be right back to the villa!

Best oceanfront location on all of Oahu!

We stayed at this location for the last week of December with our extended family and we were so happy with the choice. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views from every room of the house as well as the convenient beach located right next to the property. The cottage next door is great for up to four people as well. The entire property is well-maintained and so relaxing for the perfect family or larger group setting. Best vacation we have has as a family!

Could heaven itself be this magnificent?

In May 2016, we brought a small number of family and friends to this villa. Each of them gasped with awe upon entering the spacious foyer. The house itself is palatial, decorated elegantly yet cozily. The kitchen is well-equipped for any meal we wanted to whip up. The exterior dining room makes for intimate gatherings on warm nights. And the views from every bedroom are nothing short of epic. You can see the Mokulua Islands from any corner of the compound. (It was surreal to view them from the hot tub as we relaxed with our loved ones. Could heaven itself be this magnificent?) Then there are the people. Gina, one of the owners, made herself available to answer any question. Her friendliness instantly put us at ease. In addition, the maintenance crew could not have been more attentive to our requests or generous with their smiles. Whatever our needs, they responded quickly. All of the Villa's surroundings capture the very best of Hawaii: pristine sand on the private beach, palm trees that sway with the breezes, a children’s wading pool integrated seamlessly with the ocean, a sea wall large enough to sit on as you contemplate the crystal-blue water before you, and sunrises that take your breath away. This place is the essence of serenity with a touch of luxury. There is a downside: At some point, you have to leave. We plan to return soon!
