The well-appointed kitchen allows you to enjoy preparing the rich variety of local produce available at local Farmers Markets and from local producers. Inverness city is only 16 miles away (25 minute drive) and you have ample car parking space at the cottage for any number of vehicles.
The wildlife will also amaze you with dozens of birds visiting the garden bird house, regular sightings of red and sika deer, pine martens, pheasants, osprey, woodpeckers, red squirrels, bats and at night you are guaranteed to hear the occasional owl.
With Freeview TV, home entertainment, board games, CDs and DVDs you are ensured of a fun time inside or out. This was a great trip the property is lovely and prefect for quiet get away , the view from garden and private beach is just what we wanted. very good place will book again
Perfect cottage in a perfect location. Would highly recommend. Turan was easy to deal with and most helpful. The Cottage had absolutely everything we needed and more. Only sad that we live so far away (Australia) and not easily able to come back!
Loved our stay! Views are incredible- everything we needed for cooking meals was there. Water pressure in the shower was wonderful and it’s a gorgeous easy drive into Inverness for any adventure. Even had some wildlife visit- perfect wee cottage to enjoy quiet and nature!
The Cottage is in a lovely spot overlooking the Loch and the views are amazing. The bedrooms were nicely sized. Note for anyone with any mobility issues, the stairs up to the bedroom are steep and very narrow. Some of the bed and bathroom linens and towels need updating. The peace and quiet was lovely!
The cottage provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay although the bedding in the upstairs room - mattress/quilt & pillows could do with replacing with a matter of urgency, they had a very musty/damp smell to them. The living room/ conservatory/hall windows need some sort of curtains/blinds for added privacy.
The cottage is absolutely perfect! The private beach is a definite plus. The energy is incredible and I can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is your jam.
Set in a very beautiful and peaceful location. The cottage is quite rustic and has everything you need for a short break. Good communication with the owner.

We've really enjoyed our stay. Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views of the lochs. Highly recommend Cameron's tea rooms in Foyer and also the Lochness Alpaca walks just up the road.

Thanks so much for your visit and being such nice guests. We're delighted you liked the cottage so much. Yes, the location is indeed amazing, right on the banks of Loch Ness, with no road between us and the Loch. So pleased to hear the cottage had everything you needed. It is well-equipped and we try to think of everything holidaymakers might need. Welcome back any time.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It is in a very secluded area and we enjoyed the quiet. The views of the loch are breathtaking! We enjoyed watching the pheasant run thru the yard daily. The bed is comfortable and we were very happy here!

Thanks so much for your visit and being such lovely guests. We're delighted you loved the cottage and its amazing location and that our local pheasant paid you visits. In the garden or on the beach, guests also sometimes see red squirrels, pine martens, deer and even once an otter.
This is our third time visiting the cottage and we love this place. Host is super easy to work with and always so accommodating. The location is perfect and the lovely private beach on Loch Ness can’t be beat!!
A beautiful location to explore the Highlands, or to relax and just enjoy the gorgeous views across Loch Ness. A first time for us at this tranquil spot but we will definitely be back!

Thanks so much for being such lovely guests, Fiona. We're delighted you loved The Cottage and its magical location. Welcome back anytime. Thanks for your visit - Turan
We loved our stay here! The cottage is spacious and very, very quiet. It is secluded so having a car and driving is a necessity. Having private access to the lakeshore was a bonus and we had a small fire the last night there as the weather cooperated.

About the host

Hi - I'm Turan. I work internationally in media and I love having highland cottages as my quiet retreat and having other people enjoy the beauty, peace and relaxation of Loch Ness and the Highlands. We have a great team at Loch Ness to look after you. Rosie gets the cottage ready for you, Neil does the gardens, and I deal with the bookings. If there are any questions or problems just text, call or email me (Turan) and I will get the problem sorted quickly for you. We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Loch Ness area of the Scottish Highlands.
Why they chose this property
The Cottage at Inverfarigaig on Loch Ness is unique. Most Loch Ness holiday cottages have a busy road between you and the Loch. Here we are a quarter of a mile away from the nearest small road, down a private track. Between The Cottage and Loch Ness is just your own private garden and beach. The stunning views up and down Loch Ness and across to the mountains on the other side are truly breath-taking and the peace and quiet is total relaxation.
