What a lovely place! Only the sheep as neighbours. This little cottage has everything you need (including the first good knifes of our trip). Highly recommended.
If you like solitude and the countryside, as we do, then this cottage is perfect. Just a short journey from Beauly yet so quiet and peaceful. The beds are comfortable and cozy as are the chairs and sofa in the living room. While the kitchen is small it is well equipped. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden admiring the wonderful views and watching the sheep wandering by.
The Cottage is very nice located up the hill with a phantastic view. Everything you need is in the house, the communication with the owner is excellent and we can highly recommend it. We had a wonderful stay.

We used Moalnaceap Cottage as both a base for exploring the Highlands and as a cozy retreat in itself for our honeymoon. It's a fantastic, well-maintained property with charm and privacy. We adored our time in Crash of Aigas and are already planning a return trip!

Wonderful stay in the most unique location. The silence in the evenings was second to none, great walks in the forest (are these old mountain bike tracks?) amazing wildlife (golden eagle spotted) and most interesting historical area. Deli in Beauly was delish!

Dear Fiona,
What a lovely review, thank you. Even I haven't seen a golden eagle! They are current mountain bike tracks I believe. I am so pleased you enjoyed the cottage and its location.
Best wishes,
Catriona
We had a wonderful stay in this cottage at the top of the mountain. The home was comfortable, homely and well presented. Loved the views, the wary sheep, walking in the surrounding areas, the enclosed fireplace and the silence. Would highly recommend.

A cottage in a beautiful location by the forest on a mountain. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you - apart from the wind and a few sheep, you won't hear a thing. Unfortunately, I couldn't admire the starry sky as it was cloudy at night. The furnishings are simple but cosy, nothing is missing. We had a very nice time and would love to come back.
