You'll love this cozy beach cottage that comfortably sleeps 8 and is located in the popular gated MARAVILLA RESORT in DESTIN FL., a very short walk to the Emerald Waters & Sugary Sand Beaches along Scenic Gulf Drive. The Resort offers Private Deeded Beach Access, 2 swimming pools, 1 heated with a hot tub just a short hop and within view from the rear deck of this fabulous cottage. This family friendly community includes tennis courts, basketball court, fitness center, shuffle board and BBQ grills. "DESTIN"ATION BY THE SEA is centrally located close to Destin Harbor, Silver Sands & Destin Commons Shopping Centers, Big Kahunas Water Park, Restaurants/Bars, Golf, Watersports & Bike/Scooter Rentals.

From the moment you walk into "DESTIN"ATION BY THE SEA COTTAGE, you will feel right at home! A large, open concept, family room/dining room/kitchen provides plenty of space to relax with family and friends. The master bedroom has a private bath, a king size bed and private access to the back deck. There are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds and a double bed. All of the bedrooms have flat panel TVs. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities such as blender, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot. A gas BBQ grill is on the side porch with easy access to the kitchen. There is a laundry room with full size washer and dryer along with an ironing board and iron. Enjoy the Florida sunshine, ocean breezes and your morning coffee on the wrap around front porch surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Or have your evening cocktails on the back deck that overlooks the pool, hot tub and community greenspace. We provide beach service that includes two chairs and an umbrella. You just need to bring your swimsuit and flip flops!

Wonderful Stay!

Our family loved our time at this wonderful beach cottage! It was clean and comfortable with great amenities. We enjoyed the close proximity to the pool and the short walk to the beach. Diane was easy to communicate with, answered questions, and provided us with everything we needed for a delightful stay.

The Perfect Beach House

We had 6 adults and there was so much space that no one felt cramped or overcrowded. We could walk to the beach or go out the back door to the beautiful pool. We would definitely stay there again!

Short walk to beach in a quiet neighborhood

Cottage was clean and spacious. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and short walk to the beach. Our teens enjoyed the warm pool and the hot tub. The beach was beautiful! We would definitely stay here again!

2023 Beach Vacation

The location was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and pools. Very kid friendly for my three grandchildren that stayed with us and easily accessible for my 81 year old mother who stayed with us also!

Beach cottage paradise

Our week long stay was nothing less than paradise. Cottage was exactly like described. Everything was as easy as it could have been as far as checking in, finding everything and checking out. Would stay again and would also recommend. Overall all our expectations were exceeded.

Wonderful cottage!

The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a wonderful location. It's really nice having the heated pool and hot tub right in the back of the house, and having the beach just a short walk away. We stayed at the cottage with our family of 5 and it was perfect for us. Also, Diane was very responsive and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Excellent property to rent.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was so clean and beautifully decorated. The linens and beds were exceptional . The kitchen had all the utensils needed. The beach toys and beach cart were nice to have available. The owners were very nice to deal with and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We plan to rent this unit again next year.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful family vacation! Check in was extremely easy and the cleanliness of the cottage is incredible (we have stayed at other beach homes over the years and stated more than once this was the cleanest we had ever been in). Pool is quite literally in the backyard and the walk to the beautiful beach is just a short stroll! Many restaurants take reservations that are just a short drive away which is nice. Diane was very communicative and accommodating. We are so thrilled we picked Destin and this home for our family vacation!!

Beautiful House on a Beautiful Beach

My friends and I rented the cottage for two nights to celebrate my 30th birthday at the beach. It's a great house with a 3-5 minute walk to the ocean. The community has its own beach entrance and each rental unit has access to an umbrella and two chairs. There were seven adults in our party and the house was plenty big enough to accommodate all of us. Certainly enough space for everyone to sit and watch a movie or pull up a chair at the dining room table and play a round of Monopoly. Great place -- I would definitely recommend for short-term and long-term renters.

Wow! Amazing Destin Vacation!!!

What a fabulous beach home. Truly a delight! This is our favorite home in the community and our second time at this particular cottage. This cottage is clean, crisp, and comfortable. The owner has practical appliances and tools for everyday living. Having a family, I could appreciate that. The cottage is steps away from the pool and hot tub. There is a grill and plenty patio furniture. We plan to return to the same wonderful cottage again! Sunny days at the beach for us, in our home-away-from-home. Thank you to the lovely owner for sharing.

Most Beautiful Place On Earth

Miramar beach has been my family’s go-to the last five years. We really do consider it the most beautiful place on earth. We stayed at Maravilla the first year, and haven’t looked elsewhere since! And now, we’re spoiled with staying in a house vs. a condo! And this home was no disappointment! Very clean. Updated. Everything worked just as it should. Great communication with the owner. Clear and very timely. It was our best stay at Maravilla yet! 0 complaints!

Excellent experience

Having rented various homes at Maravilla for many years and having been an owner ourselves, our experience was excellent. The cottage was exactly as expected - updated, well-appointed, comfortable, clean, and exactly as advertised. The owner takes great pride in their cottage which shows in how it is furnished and in their attentiveness and responsiveness. We had one question (no problem or fault of the owners) upon check in and the owner responded very promptly. The location of this cottage is ideal with quick access to the pool and other amenities that Maravilla offers. After the rental our deposit was returned promptly. Perfect experience and we would gladly rent this cottage again and/or refer anyone to do so.

Destination by the sea

We just returned from our stay at Destination by the Sea. It was a wonderful week full of great memories with our family and friends. Diane is the homeowner. She was great to work with prior to and during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated and we were grateful for her hospitality. We will definitely return!

Spring Break getaway

This property was exactly as promised. A nice house in a great community within a small walk from the ocean. The part that made this rental even better was the property manager. We had everything we needed and more. The communication was direct and prompt. We even accidentally left some things behind and was able to get a hold of the property manager within minutes. Our things were returned to us in the shape that we left them. This was our first time renting this property, but we’d do it again and recommend it to anyone.

This is the one you want

We have been staying at Maravilla for several years and have rented from many different agencies and have always been satisfied. This year we rented the Beach Cottage and we were so pleasantly surprised. This home truly exceeded our expectations! The pictures do not do justice and no detail is overlooked. Speaking directly with the owner brings a level of reassurance that I didn’t even realize had been lacking by booking through management properties. Each stay at Maravilla has been great but this year was exceptional. We had one rainy day which would normally mean going to the movies or trying to find things to entertain the kids. This year we took advantage of the games provided at the cottage and in between games we had mini photo sessions on the porch. It was so much fun changing outfits and poses, the furniture and scenery provided such beautiful backdrops without ever leaving the home. We had a total of 8 people in our group spanning three generations and these photographs are so treasured. I highly recommend the Beach Cottage and look forward to many returns. Thank you Diane for sharing your home with our family!

We went to the Home Away app and searched and searched for some place better than the crowded condos. I was looking for some place clean, up to date, convient in its location, with great reviews. When looking at reviews for this property, I found no negative statements. Some 19 previous reviews said this property was very clean and up to date. Owner was very responsive. I want to say it all is true. We found this to be the case...very clean, up to date interior, Diane Seerey is very responsive. The location is great to other attractions, pool in back of the house, and the beach is a short walk. The included beach chairs and umbrellas made it very convient each day. We found the beach more family oriented and less crowded than places we have stayed in the past. We loved it so much that we booked in advance for the next year before our departure. We highly recomend this property. We just had one of our best vacations ever in Destin at the Destination by the Sea. Thank you for sharing your house with my family! We are coming back...next year!

We live in Lake St. Louis, Mo and recently sold our lake home at Lake of Ozarks, Mo to pursue our dream of living near the beach as we get closer to retirement. We enjoy spending time at our second home with our 4 children, 4 grandchildren, family & friends.

Why they chose this property

We immediately fell in love with this charming beach cottage and its proximity to the beach, pool, recreation center and several restaurants and bars. We enjoy sitting out on the wraparound front porch or the rear deck overlooking the pool & green space, or taking a short walk to soak up the sun & sand at the private beach, or hopping on our bikes for ride along Scenic Gulf Drive.
