SADLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PROPERTY

We stayed in the house, Coastawhile, from May 8, 2021 through May 15, 2021. We arrived on Saturday at around 4:00 p.m. We immediately found that there were birds in the stove vent pipe and the kitchen smelled like a dead animal. The smell was overwhelming and it had clearly been like that for a while. We called Pristine Properties immediately. They replied that they had been out to the house the day before and were unable to get the birds out. We asked them to come back as quickly as possible. This is something that we should have been alerted to. Not only were they aware of the problem before we arrived, but they were evidently unable (or reluctant to) alert us to the issue and it was not resolved promptly. On Sunday we discovered maggots in the microwave and dropping on the stove top and meal prep area. We were unable to use the microwave or stove for the first two days of our trip. Not only was this disgusting, but it made us further lose confidence in the accommodations and forced us to change our dining plans altogether. The maintenance staff finally came on Monday at 4:00 p.m. and they removed the birds and took the microwave. We were left with bird poop, maggots, and pieces of a nest on the wall behind the stove. We tried to cover it up until Wednesday when they came with a new microwave. While we understand some of the things are out of your control, the response from Pristine Properties was extremely slow and less than thorough. This whole incident ruined the first half of our vacation. The outdoor furniture needs to be replaced because it is a clear and present danger. The chairs were rusting and falling apart. Three of the four beach chairs were broken. One of the legs on a dining room chair broke when my daughter sat down. The leg looked as if it had been glued together at some point. My elderly mother travelled with us and it’s a good thing that she wasn’t injured in the chair that broke or one of the damaged ones. We were so disappointed with the house and the service we received from Pristine Properties. After complaining, they refunded us the rent for only one day. We aren’t high maintenance guests, but after the stove vent pipe birds, the microwave, the maggots, the smells, the broken furniture, the lack of communication, this amounted to an incredibly disappointing trip.

Bug problem

This is located in a private are with no crowds. The house was nice. However, there were a couple of problems. The shower in the master bedroom didn't drain. This is a pet friendly property, and the guests must not use flea control. After the first night, I woke up with red bites all over. I removed the sheets, that's when I saw fleas. I called the property and they sent pest control in a timely manner and he sprayed the property. Unfortunately. I was already covered and it constantly itched. I had to go to a doctor who prescribed medication. I was unable to enjoy the rest of our stay since I could not go anywhere. Anyone who does bring their pet, please use flea control before you go.

Wonderful Vacation

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful property. The house was exactly what we expected when booking our trip. The home was located right on the beach. We enjoyed waking up and walking the beach with our coffee. The kids had fun hanging out in the hot tub, playing in the sand, looking for shells and watching movies in bed. Thank you for making our stay easy and comfortable!

Beautiful semi secluded vacation

We absolutely loved our stay. The first part of the week the water was churning really hard because there was a hurricane in the gulf. The waves were amazing. We never had a chance to get in the water. But next time we will. Our stay consisted of two couples. We usually stay in places that have two master suites. But the fact it was so secluded was a huge advantage. It was its best when the neighbors weren’t home. We definitely want to return. The sunsets were beautiful.

Quiet Stay with Lots of Dolphins

Place is clean, well equipped and you walk out right onto the beach. Every morning we were able to watch a pod of dolphins off the shoreline feed. Beach was not busy so it was easy to social distance.

Best beach home ever

My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our vacation at Coastawhile. The home and the view was perfect in every way. The home is most beautifully decorated, reminding you constantly that you are on the beach. This is the best home we've ever rented. The seaside views could not be better...viewing directly over the sea. The hot tub is perfectly positioned such that as you sit in it, you overlook the sea...giving that infinity pool feel. All appliances are modern and clean. The house was very clean. The neighboring homes are situated at a good distance from Coastawhile, giving you all the privacy you need. Unlike other homes, where the adjacent houses are too close. I've lived in Florida all my life and this is one of the best beaches. A special shout-out to Suzanne with Pristine Properties...she is amazing...so friendly and professional...she really extended herself to us as we were planning our vacation. Thank you for your warmth, Suzanne. The owner, Bill Cooper was very friendly and also did everything he could do to ensure that our vacation was a success. Best homeowner I have ever dealt with. My girlfriend and I feel like we know his beautiful family through their framed photos and books. Everything about our vacation was perfect. We will be back.

Great home, beautiful view, low traffic

Beach was nice, hot tub great, view was amazing. Very little traffic on the beach. Home was big and spacious. Only two slight negatives: cable tv was terrible, hard to watch college World Series. Need to upgrade to satellite or similar with better service. Bugs on porch were extreme at night. Would recommend that next visitor bring a fan to keep them away so they can fully enjoy the view. Overall we will visit again.
