About this property
Amazing Blasket Island and Coumeenole Beach Views. Luxury House Slea Head Drive
Newly refurbished 2,500 sq ft, 5 bed house (sleeps 10) located on the Wild Atlantic Way. The house overlooks Dingle Bay, the Blasket islands and Coumeenole beach. It is the westernmost spot in Europe. The surrounding views are absolutely stunning. In May 2016, it became a filming location for the new Star Wars movie, due to the spectacular cliffs at Dunmore head, which can clearly be seen from the house.
The Ring of Kerry, Killarney, Tralee, Kenmare are all within easy reach of here. It can also be used as a base for the cliffs of Moher and Cork.
It's a newly renovated house with some of the best views in Ireland, and arguably the best view on the whole Peninsula. You will not be disappointed. The house is finished to a high standard and has a large patio with outdoor furniture...perfect for watching the sunset over the Blasket Islands and the beach down below.
Watch the sea birds dive in the bay. Take a ferry to the Island....Or just sit by the fire and watch the waves crash on the cliffs below.
Perfect for long walks along the cliffs or a short stroll on the beach. Great for surfing, walking holidays, beach holidays and family get-togethers. Enjoy boat trips to The Blasket Islands, a trip to see funghi, he famous Dingle dolphin ,sea kayaking in Dingle Harbour or a sheepdog demonstration.
The entire house is yours.
Large utility room can be used to store your bikes. The house sits on a site above coumeenole bay and is a short stroll from Slea Head.
The Blasket Islands are perfectly framed by large picture windows to the front of the house.
The house is on the Wild Atlantic Way - it's a 10 minute drive to Ballyferriter and a 20 minute drive to Dingle - voted Ireland's Top Foodie Town (2014). Why not visit one of the other Villages, such as Ballydavid, Ventry or Castlegregory. All are within easy reach.
Killarney is 1hr 20min away, Kenmare is 2Hrs.
The local links course is 10 minutes from the house (Ceann Sibeal).
There are c. 2000 archaeological sites on the peninsula.
It's as far west as you can go.... Car is essential. Bike great for exploring local area. Local taxi service also available which can cater for large groups. We can also help you arrange private group tours with pick up from the airport, or from the house.

About the host
Hosted by Lisa O'Shea

Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm from Killarney and married to Tomás, from Dingle. We love to travel afar, but equally love to tour around the Peninsula and take long mountain or beach walks nearby. We love to dine in one of the many fantastic restaurants in Dingle and Killarney, so we'd be happy to recommend a good Restaurant to you.
Why they chose this property
We bought this house from a relative as it is built on the old family farm, going back many generations. It is set on the last remaining bit of land in the family.
What makes this property unique
The view will blow you away! Looking out the window from the large Kitchen/Diner, sitting room and front bedroom, you will take in the most amazing view of the Blasket Islands, Slea head and Coumeenole beach. There is a spectacular view from every window in the house. Whether you are looking at the sea, the beach, Mount Eagle or simply the rural landscape. You have the most iconic Dingle Peninsula scenery right there in front of you!
