The home was beautiful- better than the pictures. The only downside was it was near the highway so there was noise. But you’d never know it from the wooded setting. Quite beautiful and nice place for a morning walk.
It was easy to get to town. Close enough to everything.
Our family had a great time staying at Daniel’s Hideaway. The property was well maintained and clean. It was convenient for activities in Saugatuck just be careful if you use Waze to get there and it does not know how to get there but Google maps brings you right to it. Our host was responsive and wonderful. Would stay again. Thank you.
Overall this was a great stay, the only thing we would have changed is the upstairs bed needs an updated bed and the sofas downstairs need to be updated. Other than that the house was spectacular we would totally stay here again. Working order appliances and clean comfortable linens. You are close to the highway so you hear a lot of traffic but the scenery is gorgeous like you're in the woods. Owner is extremely nice and answers all questions promptly. Great Wi-Fi connection. Super close to town with lots of shopping and pretty close to the beach. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
As others have said, the highway noise is quite loud so we didn't sit outside. The property was as advertised, although I felt it could have been a bit cleaner. There was hair from previous renter in the upstairs shower and the coffee pot had old grounds in it. Not really a huge deal but considering there is a cleaning fee I expected a bit better. 4pm check in is a bit late. All that said, the location was convenient for us since we were attending a family event in the area.
We enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean, spacious, and fairly close to everything in Saugatuck and Holland. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again. Next time we will bring our golf clubs. There is a beautiful course just down the road
There were 8 adults in my family on this trip and all of us had a comfortable place to sleep. The two levels provided plenty of room for all of us and our pets. The house was in a great location and close to everything we wanted to do in Saugatuck and surrounding areas. Great communication throughout the process of booking and checking in. We would absolutely stay here again.
This is a cute condo (which is connected on the exterior to another condo that is not for rent). It is convenient to town.
We thought all 3 bedrooms had queen beds but were pleasantly surprised that one of the beds in the basement was a king size.
There was highway noise outside the house but it was not noticeable inside.
To note for people or dogs: there were many ticks in the grass (this is common for west MI) and Susan said she would spray for them.
We also let Susan know about the first floor bed’s box springs that needed replacing.
Susan was very responsive and was good to work with. We also appreciated being able to bring our dogs.
Thank you for letting us stay. We would consider this home again.

Nice comfortable home
Overall we enjoyed the home. Tastefully decorated and very clean. It actually was in a great location and was not far from the state and area parks. Just a couple of things and it would have been a 5 star. There is mention of a grill but it is a charcoal grill. Susan provided the charcoal which was great but some of the food we had planned to grill it would have been nice to have had a gas grill since this is what we are use to. Also it would have been nice to have had a dust pan and or vacuum cleaner as we like to keep things tidy. The interstate is not far away so you do hear the traffic but you do get use to it. The horse was a great addition to see. Other than that it is a great home.
Thanks for the use of your home.

About the host
Hosted by Susan
Hi, I’ve lived in Saugatuck since 1994, after growing up in Maryland, Georgia, and Tennessee. I teach preschool and love nature, fitness, gymnastics, art, and horses, and I am working on my Master’s to become a Child Therapist. I am mom to three boys, a builder, psychology major, and computer science major. My boys are also accomplished in scuba and basketball, racing (3x State Champ and PanAm gold medalist), and pole vaulting This rental feeds our college bills.
Why they chose this property
Daniel Drive is a development my boys dad made, naming the road after our oldest. We lived in this unit one year and then decided to rent it out.
What makes this property unique
This property is surrounded by 14 acres of woods so very private. At one time I had my horse here, and she may come back after contributing to Camp Kidwell’s horsemanship for young campers. You can walk north along the power lines and find trails through the trees.
