Being a campground/trailer park community It is safe and wonderful for kids. The playground and the sandy beach are wins. The cottage itself is old and musty. It is clean. Don’t forget to pack all of your linens, pillows and blankets.
This is a simple cottage, exactly as described. This is a family campground with lots of kids around. Great for young kids to find a friend and to play at the beach, or bike around.
Take the canoe or peddleboat out with the kids, go fishing or swim.
Not noisy.
I was looking for fun in the sun with my granddaughter and some me time too. I was able to enjoy both. The beach and swimming area were perfect for my granddaughter as it was shallow which was comfortable for her to play and for me not to worry. I enjoyed the water too. I did have a day to myself where I enjoyed a nice kayak ride around the lake. The cottage was roomy and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Not peaceful. Not private. Surrounded by campers. Poor view of lake partially blocked by campers
They cancelled our booking due to "overbooking". Overbooking maybe because they have this place listed in other sites?Though they are kind enough to give us back the our money but still a big inconvience coz both me and my husband had book our off from work for those days.
We had a lovely time on Little Marble Lake at The Bon Echo Family Campground, just minutes away from Bon Echo Provincial Park. Everything ran so smoothly from check-in, to relaxing on the beach, to lighting the fire at night to check-out. Rob, the owner's son was especially courteous and made sure our questions were answered and our needs were met. When we arrived, we had the chance to listen to the annual music festival that Ralph, the owner, organizes and felt the warm community vibe right away. We can't wait to come back when our 10 month old is older and can run around! She loved exploring the cabin, sitting on the beach and doing a little paddle on the water. It was so idyllic, quiet and yet we were so close to other campers ... I can still hear the crickets and can't wait to return. The amenities were good. I would recommend bringing your favourite sharp knife, some larger cooking and salad bowls would be good too.
When we arrived, the cottage was exactly as pictured. Ralph is an amazing host-always available and gave us some great ideas of what to do in the area. Beautiful little sandy beach is just a stone's throw from the cottage. Cottage is roomy and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Mattresses were comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!
It's a great spot for kids... we went from playground, cottage, camp store to beach and back again all day long. The water is shallow and sandy, which was ideal with small children. As the listing suggests, there is limited privacy and the cottage is dated-- but things were comfortable, drivers on the laneway out front were conscientious and my daughter had fun with new friends. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a lovely quiet time away here. Lots of walking and relaxing. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy. Staff was super helpful and friendly. We hope to return.
Decent Cottage but was surprised that the doors keys were not readily available. As mentioned, having no exhaust and the window kept open was an easy entry for mosquitoes/bugs in the shower aside from excess humidity. Also the tub in the shower was very slippery. Otherwise all okay.

It may have been difficult to notice because the bathroom window was up high, but there is a bug screen on it. Most people don't lock the cottage doors so we keep the set of keys in the office and provide them upon request.
Safe environment to let kids run and play with lots of other kids. It's relaxing for parents when everyone is safe and having healthy, outdoor fun. Was nice to have living room and dining area to retire to during rainy periods.
The was clean and the management is lovely and accommodating. The main bed was nice and firm. I did not children all week, they made tons of nice friends. Perfect.
Our week was fabulous! The cottage was clean and cozy. The beach was great for younger kids. The people were very friendly. The only issue some people may have is the wifi is not great and there is no cell service. Also, I suggest adding that people bring clear recycled bags with them.

About the host
Hosted by Bon Echo Family Campground
My story is a bit like the TV show "Green Acres"—I left the city in the '70s to buy a farm and create a quieter life for my family. Over the years, I’ve run businesses, organized events, and contributed to community projects in the Napanee area. Now, as a campground owner, I focus on ensuring my guests have a great stay. On weekends, you can usually find me around the campground, making sure everything runs smoothly and guests feel at home.
Why they chose this property
Spacious cottage, big eat-in kitchen, well-stocked, full sized fridge and stove, in a smaller sized campground with friendly people and children, close to Bon Echo Provincial Park.
What makes this property unique
Steps from the beach. Beach is shallow so great for small kids. Children on the beach and in the water visible from cottage. Cottage is in the middle of a campground so good for people who like the sounds of other friendly people around and other children for their children to play with. Children can bike around in the campground with safety without having to go out on the roads.
